  1. Rockstar did have something planned in terms of additional single-player content for GTA 5 at one point. “For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas,” Rockstar said in a post on the Rockstar website in 2013. But that DLC never came to pass. Instead, Rockstar focused its efforts on bringing the game to a new generation of consoles and on Grand Theft Auto Online — a move that certainly worked out for the studio. Grand Theft Auto 5 has since sold more than 80 million copies, so it’s hard to fault Rockstar for its efforts. https://www.polygon.com/2017/10/23/16527268/grand-theft-auto-5-single-player-dlc-story-expansion So pending on how the story is told, it existed. It was a business decision. Now I want to say there was one article that claimed all three characters each got a additional story extension. They said FU to the PvE only players and supported PvP Griefing atmosphere. It made money! Everything they seem to say vs what they are doing for RDR2, whether online or campaign. It is following in the same business model as GTA5. I would be very happy to be proven wrong, but their actions speak volumes, when there words aren't.
  2. I agree, but I also feel RDO will get all of the attention mostly because they are fallowing the same business model as GTA5. This whole beta has been about adding more and more PvP aspects. At this point, those who wish to be more supportive to PvE, probably move on.
  3. I read the article from one of the head guys on that. It was decided that their was no profit in Campaign Mode. So they invested all their time and money into PvP. In the gaming industry, some idiot decided that only PvP ( actually griefers who play PvP) will spend money. Everyone else can go straight to hell.
  4. Wasn't sure when I read them, whether it was trolling or some leak some where. Rockstar has said nothing that I can find.
  5. Yesterday I came across an article online that stated, because of the current situation of RDR2. That there won't be a DLC for PvE, whether it be for the campaign or online. Since, I haven't be able to find that article or verify anything to support the story. Now being one that doesn't hate one side or the other, curious if this will just be another GTA 5 repeat and them already starting on the next big game. Recently, I had also read that they was extending the Beta deadline, so really not sure where these stories are being found. Yet I have seen nothing from Rockstar proving one way or another. So if any of you come across either stories and/or proof. I would appreciate it if you could post the links. Thanks, Yoda
  6. Usually it's about safety of numbers. More of you together seems to deter those looking for easy targets. When on, if I am running solo, I generally will get players that want to cause grief. While generally in a group, players will generally avoid youl
  7. Anytime you decide for you to have fun requires you to come along and ruing another's term of fun for no other reason then you are a pure jackass. That is griefing. In PvEvP map, you have PvE players that have zero interest in PvP, now when you throw in that one or more PvP ( usually they don't run alone) that insists that they only way they can PvP is by attacking those who don't or won't fight back. You can tell who they are cause if you fight back and kill one or 2 of them, they run or change servers. They are griefers. They are usually the same ones you see in forums like this that get all bent when you point out there is something seriously wrong with them for thinking that is fun. Now we shouldn't get them confused with PvP players, who will take you down once or twice, but seem to move on once they know they are better then you, whether you fight back or give up.
  8. Back then, I did and was told they knew about it and was looking into it. Then I read later that starting over would fix it. To my knowledge Rockstar has did nothing to fix the issue. They seemed to have their hands full of other issues.
  9. @dcg911 It really depends on how you wish to deal with them. Option 1. On Xbox if they attack you relentlessly, write down their names, report, then block them. Most likely nothing will ever happen. Then again miracles do happen. Option 2. You and your friends find a different game and move on. Sooner or later they will quit chasing you. Option 3. Probably the best option. Be nice to someone like @HuDawg who claims to live for this stuff. Send him an invite when these clowns show up. Hopefully HuDawg can help you out and show you a few tricks to defend yourself. There are others that like to scrap in here as well. Unfortunately, I haven't played in a spell and currently waiting for the Beta to end in the next 3 to 5 years.
  10. I believe that is the one where you go and pick flowers and sell them to the Doc in Valentine. Make money and gain xp. Good for both.
  11. I think it really depends on the servers you get on or time of day. I have had days where players just want to grief and run from PvP and then I have had days where it's all PvE as far as the eyes can see.
  12. They do so you have something to spend your money on. Gives you reason to continue to grind.
  13. That their sums up one of the biggest issues. Is in games like this the targeting one player over and over. I don't think most online players can just PvP and move on. They need their K/D Ratio set at a certain level so they can continue to live.
  14. I don't have an issue with females gaming, it has been my experience that they can be the most blood thirsty and ruthless players I have gamed with. I just find it odd that when players hear a female voice in gaming. They stop what they are doing to come over and try to impress her. I just find it odd that the console cowboys, think they are impressing anyone online.
  15. Extra lobbies could work, but it doesn't fix the Griefing issue. What they did, didn't fix it either. Then to be honestly, it's been a long time since Rockstar ever did anything that fixed griefing. Remember Rockstar said they wanted to fix it.
  16. Now I can't say every group is like this, but maybe it isn't the killing them because the game tells you to. It's could be the other 6 times you kill them as soon as they spawn. Sometimes players take that at be personal. In my experience, you kill someone and ride off, they'll have the old WTF moment trying to figure out why would you do that.
  17. Out of grouping up with about 20 different players and different times this weekend, it seemed pretty unamious that none of them was interested in buying the sequel, when they are already have the original. :). I am still currently still on the bubble, and it being more about co-op gaming then solo or PvE or PvP. I have to agree, I can do most of the stuff I experienced this weekend in the orignal. I could see why players would want to play something a little different though. It just not much different.
  18. Some players are quite content playing PvE, they rank up for the much of the same reason everyone else does. Become more powerful and unlock more things. At one point they may be interested in PvP, then again maybe they just want to keep PvE. Games like this should require us to take a step back and try to see what others are thinking. Most of the time players are just too shallow and selfish try to force everyone into doing what they want, regardless of whatever that other person wants to be doing.
  19. As it was told to me about the Alpha, is the way I would advise players about TD2. However you felt about the 1st is the way you will feel aobut the 2nd. That is the way it felt to me and the others I played with this weekend. If felt very much like the exact same game, yet it's differences didn't make it seem any different at to me.
  20. Odd thing is I don't see it as much as I used to. I think which server you get on makes a huge difference, pending on the type of players you face.
  21. Or Rockstar could just come up with a real solution, stop players from wanting to grief.
  22. Actually, their are modders on xbox and ps4. It isn't easy, but they do exists. And no Microsoft and Sony don't approve and does go after them when they can.
  23. And now if you go hunting or fishing or some other activity that doesn't get you killed. You will make even more xp. I have played with some that go and pick flowers and sells them to doctors or players who hunt or fish that go to the Butcher before the mission ends. Now in my experience, all of these points showed up when the mission was complete.
  24. Usually players that are drawing it out, will run up kill what they have to and then go play, hunt, or fish. It is possible they have different technique then that, but that has been my experiences. I have known some players who will join up and then just set their and wait. They still get a rewarded whether or not they kill anything, as long as you do the work.
  25. My funniest experience was hunting and was in an area where bears spawn a lot. So I was creeping along following a trail of a bear, all of a sudden a red dot appeared on my map right in front of me, nothing but trees and bushes. So I aim and try to line up a clear shot. I see something move, so I shoot. Next thing I know some player comes running out of there without his hat as fast as he can. While pondering why the character didn't appear as a pink dot, a bear attacks me from behind. No red dot, no signs of aggression till I got attacked. Figured at that point it had to be karma. Attack a player hiding in the bushes while hunting and get attacked by a bear from behind.
