It is but it's the same on XB and i would expect them to fix it at some point soon. They are aware of the issue and it got allot better (at least on XB) after the most recent update earlier this week.

Why posse up? Lone Wolf is the way to MVP!
cadashka replied to Dark Eco Wolf's topic in Red Dead Online
Can only confirm. This is not only in RDR but also in multiple other games including GTA. When it comes to RDR, i can't think of many situations when i would rather play alone. I am playing with a larger group of people (not exactly friends but not random as well) and we usually run in posse of up to 7. This way, we can outnumber most of the hostile players we meet online and i can barely remember any missions we would have failed to finish. The most important part when playing with others that are not close friend is communication, coordination and organization but that's easy to come by with the communication tools we have at hand. -
Sorry for reading over it.

Never without one card upgrade bennifits??
cadashka replied to Steven Kreg's topic in Red Dead Online
Ya, i am doing that as well. But i like using a bow from time to time and that makes me using one slot with variable weapons where i have to take care for the right ammo. -

If you're posse leader you can use the Posse Outfit to get unlimited hats back everywhere. The other option would be on horse back and stored outfits. -
If you meet a posse that is running a mission and is nearing their drop off location, the vehicle and every member enters ghosting. It will then depend on distance but those posse members can easily troll you by not dropping of (usually there is allot of time to do this) and using this large ghosting area against you.

What platform are you on? If you're interested, we run a larger crew that is hosting sessions pretty much every day where we join together and run as (sometimes multiple) posses. We protect our backs and we are usually quite successful with it. We tend to avoid large battles with hostile randoms. We run XB1 only.

cadashka replied to Steven Kreg's topic in Red Dead Online
You can select this card and go into the upgrade menu and select any of the higher level cards without actually buying them. It will show you what comes next. I am not in front of my box currently to test it but i would assume Rockstar to have something added for level 2 and later level 3. -

While you can carry 200 rounds each, you have to make sure to have the right ones selected all the time. I am not sure if this is a bug or feature but once i am selecting my bow to go for a hunt, i need to select the right ammo once i'll put away the bow and pull out my rifle. Otherwise it will only be loaded with the regular rounds. Sometimes there is even a loading animation if you switch between regular and express. -
You should send them a complain. The more people do that the more likely it is to get a fix soon: https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/online/feedback?step=f2e50892 From what i've figured, the mission is running sometimes and just not visible. Sometimes it helps to wait a few minutes and ride in the direction, that was said to be the missions location. Like if this NPC say From Emerald Ranch you ride over there to spot the wagon running. If you see it and start interacting with it, the mission will start showing to you.

This is pretty much the response most of our crew members got. But since we are spread throughout the world, we kinda figured that our US based members seem to have more problems starting missions then the ones in Europe. That only depends on the posse leader or maybe who invited who into a session. If someone from Europe starts the game, invites everyone and is leading the posse missions work much better then if the same procedure is done by US based members. It might be coincidence but we had it like this.

Ya, i do think they are working on the issue and might release a fix soon. The main reason i am thinking that is that by leaving things broken for a long time, allot of the players might leave and some might even never look back.
-
Ya. But that's it. One of us got a really long answer, i've posted in some other topic around here some days ago. But the rest of us got no answer or pretty much a one line thing like: "We are aware of the issue". Edit: Asked everyone in our crew to send a complain.

I've done that. I really hope it will do something as they seem to send out a standard reply.

Be warned. Level 91 players packing Explosive ammo
cadashka replied to RED_DEADMAN's topic in Red Dead Online
Actually the higher leveled players are less hostile then new ones. At least that's what i've encountered. When we were rolling in a posse of 7, we had plenty of people below level 20 trying to step on our toes. One guy even followed us from Tumbleweed all the way to Rhodes just to constantly earn bullets. It was just annoying. -

Thanks for joining. Had a great time together so far!

It's out already: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/60804/Red-Dead-Online-Beta-Update Sounds great! Can't believe they did something against griefers. Never happened in GTA. Edit: looks like you've posted the link, while i was typing.

Ya, you're right about that.

When playing with crew posse, we encounter this pretty much daily up to the point when one of us contacted Rockstar about it. According to their reply, they are aware of the issue.

I am enjoying them and some are even challenging. It's fun to do, a change from running missions and you can even boost honor with it, when not shooting their boss. My favorites are: The Loft, Shady Bell and Bacchus Station.
-
Can only confirm. We stopped doing them. Sometimes it is possible to skip missions by going out, riding away and return shortly after. Does not always work but at some instances. You can also just go to another missions and return later.

I'll DM you.

Running with a semi large Social Club crew that is dedicated to non hostile team play and was established back then in order to provide a non hostile place in GTA. We are running together in RDR pretty much daily during EU evenings up to US nights. Weekends even more. We team up in posses and run missions together, clear hideouts or protect our necks while hunting. If you're looking for a group to team up with, you're welcome to join us. We only expect to follow our rules and show up in Discord while playing as we want to have at least a minimal amount of communication and coordination while running together. https://fpgl-crew.org

If You're On A Train, Do You Become "Inactive"?
cadashka replied to KylesDad7's topic in Red Dead Online
You need to press a button if you want to be the train driver. On XB you constantly need to press A. If you're passenger it might help to look at a catalogue. So far i found, looking at catalogue kinda prevents you from being kicked. But you'll starve to death. That's for sure.
