  1. Why should people who want to play the game socially and in peace have to be the ones who have to take evasive action to accommodate the idiots?
  2. Playing RDR2 kindled a desire in me to play RDR again and the contrast in riding horses is hilarious. In RDR your horse bounces off rocks, people, everything with no penalty. On RDR2 there's none of that.
  3. I really loved working my way through the hunting quests to get the Legend of the East satchel in which you can store sh*t loads of stuff. On my second playthrough I made it a priority and have it already.
  4. Therein lies the problem, people like you who don't want to spoil the game for others are having to be selective about where on the map you play to accommodate the idiots.
  5. Thanks Yoda. Didn't they bring in private lobbies on GTAO though? I know they have in RDRO. It would seem strange to me that they won't eventually in RDR2O. I remember enjoying giving griefers the middle finger in a lobby setting where they couldn't shoot you on GTAO. Something like that with RDR2 would be ok. I'm willing to bide my time until they bring this in and if they don't I can live with it, I didn't buy the game for the online element, so can take it or leave it.
  6. Does anyone know when / if R* will be be introducing private lobbies?
  7. It didn't really bother me that you got bounties imposed on you for doing the story missions, it's just they they were way too high sometimes. a $300 bounty ain't nice when you haven't got a pot to piss in.
  8. Even when you use the special bait lures you'll catch other types of fish. I think it does matter whereabouts you stand though. I was told that it doesn't matter where you stand you can catch the legendary fish but I'm not sure this is true. There was one place (I can't remember where it was), but it had a waterfall) where I was getting no luck at all. I tried for 30 mins and it wasn't happening. I went online for some help and found sites that advise on where to stand etc. One site advised moving close to the waterfall and within 5 minutes I landed the leg fish.
  9. I've completed RDR2 and it has firmly become my favourite game of all time. I have a tradition at Christmas that I buy a game before the Christmas day and play it on the day. My plan was to do this with RDR2, but after reading so many reviews I started playing it before Christmas day. I also bought Hitman 2 which ended up supposedly being my Christmas day game. However, because RDR2 is so amazing Hitman 2 remains unopened for 2 reasons first, I'm on my second playthrough of RDR2 and second I bought RDR. I've played RDR twice in the past and for some reason never got around to completing it. This time however, I wanted to play it to its conclusion because of how the story ties in with RDR2. For instance near the beginning of RDR when Marston confronts Bill Williamson outside Fort Mercer, Williamson was just some random character before I'd played RDR2 but this time he was the asshole I'd grown to know in RDR2. Also, learning that Javier and Dutch would be appearing in the game kept me rapt. The conversations with characters that tied in with RDR2 was also interesting. I've no idea when Hitman 2 will get a look in, but I suspect it's gonna be quite a while because I plan to get RDR Undead nightmare soon.
  10. Roll on the private lobbies when we can be free of the detritus. When I played it online this other player lassoed me, hog tied me, plonked me on the back of my own horse and then she rode off. Thought that was quite funny tbh.
  11. sh*t endings? hmmm, the shittest ending to a game I ever played was Far Cry 5. Rdr2?
  12. I made a proper mess of killing the leg Bison. It was chasing it all over and it ran into Lake Isabella because it was sick of me. As it was coming out of the lake I thought I'd take advantage of its limited mobility and kill it then, but I kiilled it too soon and it just sank into the lake đŸ˜…. I thought all was lost as I couldn't retrieve its pelt, but then shortly after got a message saying something like I'd abandoned the pelt but go to the trapper who now has it.
  13. I'm on my second playthrough and got this horse, I too just bought the standard game. It's stuck in my stable, but I didn't think to off it for some reason. I think a trip to the railway line is imminent.
  14. The white Arabian that you can get for free, north west of Isabella lake. This is horse is fast, handles really well and ain't afraid of hairy situations. I bonded to level 4 with her and got attacked by 4 wolves and she didn't buck me. She looks really nice too. I bought a horse with better stats than her later in the game but only as insurance in case she got killed.
  15. I never give a sh*t what medals I get, but I'd imagine it would stand to reason that if you replay a mission to try and get a better medal you can get the better medal. Give it a go.
  16. Hello, I replied in your other thread, but in case you missed it.... I had this problem too. Fortunately it's easy to solve if you're playing on Xbox. You need to force close your game by pressing the little button to the right of the white xbox button on your controller right and then select 'quit game' (or whatever it says) I'm at work now, so can't do it). If you're playing PS I don't know what the button is that you need to press, but try and do the same thing, force close the game When you play the game next time all should be good.

  18. A good insurance policy is to get the free white Arabian from near Lake Isabella (one of the best horses anyway) and also another quality horse.
  19. This is why online does'n't interest me until they get private lobbies set up. The whole idea of being able to get xp by killing another player's horse baffles me, it sometimes seems like R* are encouraging idiotic behaviour.
  20. When I played online I asked griefers why they were constantly killing me. I got the usual responses , those mentioned above. When I politely I asked one of them why s/he was doing it his response was 'stfu you pussy'. I'm not one for reporting people to MS usually, but this idiot was asking for it. My last message, before I blocked him/her was 'If you get sanctioned it was me who reported you'. A week later I got a message saying from MS saying they'd taken action against the person I'd reported. I don't know what action they took, but hopefully it was a suspension and at least one griefer being forced to take time out and reflect on his/her behavior.
  21. I don't understand why people want to cane the main story missions and do nothing else either in these types of games. As others have said such people are missing out on so much the game has to offer. I always intersperse main missions with side missions in RPGs to spin the game out longer.
  22. No 7 on your list is why I'm not playing it until we get private lobbies.
  23. Got a couple of questions if anyone can answer. First. Is there a glitch with the Legendary fishing in terms of not receiving the reward through the post? In total I've caught 4 so far and received my reward for the first two, but nothing for the last two despite any game days passing. Second. Is there a reward at the end of the challenges, e.g hunting challenges?
