  1. I have the same issue. I filled out a ticket with R* and actually chatted with a rep on Friday. Apparently it is some kind of bug . It effects some players like me whenever they buy a new horse . I also have the issue of my horse constantly going back to Level 1 bonding. What seems to fix it is to either have your horse "flee" or going into a stable. R* is aware of the issue but didn't give a time table when it would be fixed.
  2. Not defending their actions. Most really aren't that good. I had a guy last night on top of the post office in Rhodes sniping the butcher with a varmit. He tried to kill me but failed. I made him leave the server quickly via multiple deaths. It may be my experience but most of these "griefers" aren't good and don't expect you to fight back. They want easy targets. 90% of the time you fight back, they take off quickly. Which is why they don't bother me. I welcome the extra XP they provide me from killing them.
  3. I tend to agree with your stance in this matter. Griefers don't really bother me. I actually enjoy the competition. Cause to be honest, the NPCs in RDRO provide very little challenge. They are pretty much a joke. I had people messing with my wagon transporting mission last night and it made it exciting. No they weren't griefing, they were playing the game as intended. I think having the unknown factor of what players are going to do keep it exciting and interesting. I love PVE just as much as PVP. I never understood why you have to pick a side in this age old argument. Some people actually are capable of liking both equally. Whether I am running solo or with my posse, my Companion App is up. This keeps me alive and allows me to see the map at all times. Like my 45acp, I never leave home without it. Private lobbies wouldn't fix griefers. I too believe it is just a Band-aid. I do believe the "griefer" issue is being a little bit blown out of proportion. I am in my mid 70s and I have yet to leave a lobby because someone was trolling me.
  4. I'm no PVP pro but I do like it. I want to get better in it. It is a struggle, but hell I'm trying! I careless if there is a PVE only mode. I personally wouldn't enter that lobby because it would be extremely boring to me. I think that PVP factor in freeroam keeps you on your toes and I like that. NPCs present no challenge or real threat. Without PVP in free roam it will just become easy mode. I want to be challenged and tested and a PVE only lobby wouldn't do that. Mindless grinding with no real challenge is a drag for me. My posse and I actually hope people try to grief us during missions so that we can get the extra XP for killing them.
  5. I always look at mini map before thinking about this mission. If I see a posse close, I will have some members head that direction so that we have a better chance at catching the runner. I was chosen last night for one and had a good fight with the attackers. I see no problem with them . I like being on both sides of the mission. And to be honest the NPC ones are so boring and predictable. You know exactly where they are going to be. Some people get all butt hurt over this mission but I don't see why unless you troll the player after you kill them. Kill your target and move on. I killed someone this weekend who was marked but held his perfect cougar carcass until he revived because he killed his horse by mistake trying to run. He thanked me and moved on. Not all pvp is toxic like people make it out to be. And if you are using your Companion App, it is sooooo easy to avoid the player/s chasing you to run out the timer and get the XP. I just wish the payout was more on both sides.
