  1. Exactly. Hell Ch.6 is all about killing.
  2. So basically you will have to have a whole different mode. Every mission can be tampered with the exception of a few. The game actual rewards you for doing so. So players that are afraid of player interaction will either need a whole different server . As it is now, you take a money bag mission and another player takes your bag, he is a griefer (in many eyes).
  3. Not always true. I sometimes leave it open if a friend tells me they are loading in. But in that minute someone always pops in. The invite feature doesn’t work properly all the time, leaving it open temporarily is the only option.
  4. Dope song and I feel the same way. Guess we both need the same Dr.....lol. Meet the Monster by Five Finger Death Punch .......sums up my mood as well in RDRo when I get popped unprovoked. Lol
  5. I played Division for a good 18months(Day1 player). I just burned myself out. But I had no issues with players. I enjoyed farming, rouge hunting and their version of raids. I sometimes would have people in the Dz with me who thought they should be able to farm in peace. Their refusal to even attempt to defend themselves hurt not only just them but the team. I understand if your playstyle is PVE....but why play games that force you to PVP too? I don’t know why you would do that to yourself.
  6. To be fair, a lot of these morons will keep running at you . You have to kill them repeatedly. They are dense and can’t take a hint. But I will happily kill you as many times as you like. No need to chase you because you keep coming to me with your lemming mentality. Much like The Divsion, people want an open world game to cater to a certain pve crowd. The DZ was a sh*t show but I loved the chaotic vibe. I bought the game knowing this and was fine with it. I wouldn’t expect a game to cater to my play style. If I don’t like it, I move on ( ie For Honor). This argument will never end because PVE only players want to hunt in peace and harmony, others want to watch the world burn and people like me learn to adapt. Best thing R* can do is stick to whatever their vision is for the game. When you start chopping and dicing core mechanics.....you end up with a waterdown product. This is the main reason I left Destiny 2. Bungie listened to the whiners, causing a watered down product.
  7. There is a flaw with this though. What if a player/posse is attempting to kill me and keeps getting killed by me on respawn. This idiot just keeps coming and coming. I kill him say 10X he kills me say once. Now I have to pay a fine for defending myself against this moron? How is that fair to me? This happens daily with me. Guy pops me from behind with a shotty and keeps getting killed from that point forward by me. But under this system I would be penalized for self defense? That isn't right. Sorry. I'm not going to run away from a fight.
  8. Man I love putting on Slippery Bastard and watching griefers get all confused. LOL. I have used the lasso/moltovs combo too. Good times. We were holding a wagon for a mission last night (get that xtra Xp), and this 4 man posse kept trying to get to it. For 6 mins these fools kept coming and coming. I loved every minute of it. Your typical Varmit spammers who couldn't figure out how I was tanking headshots. Thank you Slow & Steady. We all racked up tons of XP . My Posse does this as well, we will maybe have a player or two fend off the troll/s while the rest complete the missions. Works like a charm. But than again I roll with a lot of trigger happy gunners who have no problems shooting back. I use to run with a crew that was timid as a damn field mouse and it would drive me nuts. Not one of them wanted to stand their ground. They always wanted to run away or switch servers. I had to stop playing with them because I am not wired like that.
  9. Thank you. Exactly. I wasn't the greatest at first either. I spend most of my time cursing Varmint users. But I forced myself to get better so that I could hold my own. Otherwise I mind as well shelf this game. But I got better, maxed out ability cards, met a good core of knowledgeable players, etc. Like you, I now have the "I wish a motherfu**a would attitude". It takes time and work to hold your own, and that is what I loved. The game FORCED me to get better. Adapt or Perish.
  10. I find the best way to deal with griefers or whatever, is getting better or having some gunners in your posse. This keeps them accountable. If they attack you and you annihilate them, they will retreat most times. Learn to defend yourself. I remember I use to sherpa groups in the Dz(The Division), and it would drive me nuts when the group got jumped people rather flee than fight. Why not fight back??!! It was part of the game as much as it is in RDRO. Predators always go for the easy meal. I don't want this game to get watered down into a Western Farmville. Private lobbies is the balance, otherwise you kill the essence of Free for All. Many players don't mind being among the wolves and hyenas. For players that don't, Private servers would be your safe haven.
  11. Most of the people I use to game with are still logging crazy hours a week on Destiny 2. I just got burnt on the grind , in fighting among clan mates, mind numbing grind, etc. So I haven't touched it since last DLC. No one I knew played RDRO. I stumbled upon a great community of people and I feel that makes RDRO fun. Now I had run into a ton of annoying players that I ran with once and that was it. But when you find a good group of players, it makes all the difference IMO. It is amazing how much you get done when you have a group all on the same page. Much like Destiny 2 , being part of a good group of people makes a world of difference. Games like this are more fun with others.
  12. I hear you. I do 99% of my hunting solo, and that is just to replenish supplies. I might grab a panther every now and than because it is good money. I never have an issue hunting or fishing, but I don't go in areas where I see a bunch of erratic pink dots either. Can't emphasize enough that the Companion App is your best friend. I also may knock out some missions solo . I don't shy away from the PVP , I actual welcome it. This is a big reason I was excited for Online. My posse and I welcome people trying to interfere with our missions. We all like getting the extra Xp a gun fight provides. Hell, we even hopped to another server to answer a challenge/setup recently. But it was probably one of the best experiences I have had online. I'm all for private servers, but please don't change things. I don't mind a fight and will never shy away from one. I love the challenge. I would be bored out of my mind if other players were not trying to mess with me. There is no better feeling than making a player leave a server after he thought attacking you was a good idea while you were skinning a gator.
  13. Very true. I enjoy running with my friends laughing and having a good time. Also providing protection to lower level players in the group is satisfying. Easier to keep the wolves at bay when you have legit backup. If it wasn't for friends, I really don't know if I would be playing as much either.
  14. Lone wolf is fun, but taking over a server is the best (IMO). We had three 7-man posses running the other night in the same server and it was awesome. Everyone just grinding out missions and watching each others back. Going to try and lockdown a server completely so people can fight club , hunt/fish, or do missions without any worries.
  15. Sadly by you saying your "friendly" , you can cause wolves/trolls to flock to you. It can backfire on you. There are some chill people out there though. I always have the Companion App up watching other players movements/activity. I have had a player roll up before and kinda trail our posse cautiously. I finally asked him what did he want. He was just trying to posse up and I sent him an invite. Really cool dude. So it isn't always bad.
  16. Ha. I just kick them. A friend may be logging into the game, so I leave it open for him/her. Someone always seems to jump in before they can. Sometimes they get real pissed when you kick them and attempt to "grief" you. That never ends well for them. Some people take it really personal I guess.
  17. Quite a few. If I leave my posse "open" , someone will pop in quick as hell. Sometimes I forget to make it "invite only". But you never know who your going to get in the Posse Up feature. You really are rolling the dice.
  18. No reason to be in chat unless you are in a posse. I don't want to hear sqeakers screaming, Jabba the Hutt mouth breathers , your crappy choice of music , your feeble attempt at being a tough guy, the fact you know more than 4 curse words, etc. If I am not in a posse with my friends, I mute everything. It is sad it has come to this, but I started muting years ago when I was playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. If the OP is looking for people to talk to/play with, I suggest using a forum like this or the many Discord channels that have RDRO players. But this isn't a RDRO issue, online gaming has been like this for years. But you shouldn't let that deter you from enjoying a pretty good "beta".
  19. Easiest way to level is just by playing the game normal. I'm almost in the 80s , just by doing stranger missions and constantly resetting awards/belt buckles. No need to troll in missions or climb a roof. I'm not powergrinding by any means though. I am taking my time.
  20. Nice. It is good to roll deep. I too find it more productive and you just soak up XP. But I have seen large posses jumping from server to server in search of other large posses these past two weeks.
  21. I have both horses but like the Turk a tad more because I like bigger horses. I do a lot of fighting from horseback and those 2 work the best. The Turk also regenerates its stamina quicker than the MFT. Both are good and you can't go wrong either way. For me personally , the Turk works better in combat. I currently own 2 Turks and 1 MFT. Couldn't be happier.
  22. Exactly. It is all about time management. A lot of people spend hours online but not really maximizing their time properly. If you are a day 1 RDRo player, it is really easy to be over 100 . My buddy is very very efficient at grinding stranger missions. I rank up so fast riding with him. Some people grind Showdown religiously. I am Level 74 and work full time plus go to gym daily for 2-3hrs. If I really pushed myself, I could easily be 100+. Saying someone has no life is harsh and kind of ignorant to be honest. Someone out there is already Level 350+. Now that dude clearly does nothing but sit in front of a console.
  23. I already did twice. I even chatted with a rep on Friday that apparently has the same issue.
  24. No. Every horse I have bought is on the brink of death. I just looked at my two back up horses, and all their core are red. Hope is gets fixed soon. I'm the only one in my posse that is effected by this. They thought I was crazy until we ran into another player this weekend that is experiencing the same thing.
  25. My buddy is Level 150ish and always carries them .He is always getting jumped. I don't know if it is his high level or what . Every time I ride with him I feel like the whole server is chasing down our posse. He uses them as "get out of jail free cards" or when severely out gunned . Besides , collecting all that animal fat is a pain so you think before you use those rounds. lol.
