  1. No... Although those players are annoying placing a system like that into the game waters down your options when betting (there are times it’s beneficial to put the max bet in on the deal and knock out the competition/raise the pot value on your good deal). Really, it’s just the flaw you have in a limit poker table, especially computerized poker with nothing of any real value on the line.... RDR Poker will just never be a serious poker game the way it is.
  2. Well, the more money you have, the more ammo you can buy, the better horses you can buy, the better your ability cards can be, the more tonics your can have... Bottom line, the more advantage you hold over other players wether or not you personally choose to use it or not... And yes, I do find all sorts of glitching distasteful. The main reason I’ve given up on GTA V online is because I found the only way to get ahead in its current state (from a low level and broke) is to cheat your way into a solo Lobby to run your businesses. I flat out refuse to play that way and would much rather not play at all.
  3. Sorry, the glitching solo lobbies isn’t even the biggest gripe I have with your stance... But it’s continually calling the legitimate conflict built into the game griefing and harassment. If you don’t want to take the risk, take the smaller reward. If you do take the risk and someone gets you, they’re not out just to harass you or grief. I’m not saying there isn’t griefing in the game, because there is. And yes, your cheating does have an effect on others. It’s giving you an unfair advantage in receiving larger rewards without taking the risks in the game... Kind of like stealing money from the Monopoly bank to cover rent because you feel like the other players are harassing you when you land on Boardwalk and are asked to pay up.... Not to mention, if people keep exploiting glitches, developers spend extra time trying to address glitches and less time developing new content...
  4. Quite possibly. Pigs are tough critters. I’ve seen deer dash about that far with fatal wounds to the vital organs. But most things really don’t live long with giant holes in their heart, lungs and major arteries. It really does come down to accurate shot placement. But never in my life have I seen any critter with a blown out boiler room moan and squirm as long as they do in RDR. Then again, I tend to (like most sane people) use a shotgun for flying birds and never once have I seen anyone lasso a deer and try to kill it with their knife (those things can kick you and gore you to death quite easily if you get that close to a live one....
  5. Well, yes... but you are walking a close line to griefer territory depending how exactly you go about being a ‘bad cowboy’...
  6. I’m pretty sure if you follow the guid that’s kicking around somewhere on what weapons to use on what game, only shoot the animal once (preferably a nearly instant fatal shot such as head or neck) you should be good. Make sure your not using express ammo or the likes. My one shots with animal appropriate weapons keep the 3* at perfect even with a bleed out... (though I take a minor honour hit for being a cruel SOB). Also, make sure your horse doesn’t accidentally step on it... maybe excessive running and thrashing from a really bad shot could degrade it a little, I’d have to test...
  7. It’s not like there isn’t options... such as choosing the local delivery to nearly eliminate the risk of being robbed in exchange for less money... (also allows you to make delivery in defensive mode I believe. But I cannot confirm). And again, robbing a long distance delivery is not griefing. It’s simply robbing you. Now if the delivery mission ends and either party decides to keep harassing the other, it’s griefing. I get that you don’t like the conflict, nearly all your posts highlight that. But you can’t keep calling every bit of conflict in the game griefing or bullying. It’s just playing the game when done in the proper context. But glitching your way into a solo lobby to get the higher reward and eliminate the risk is cheating in my mind, however you justify it.
  8. Well, as a hunter and trapped in real life... I can’t say I’ve shot very many animals that hang on as long as they do in the game... Not very realistic. (I shot a deer just this past Monday... It bolted about 30 yards and was as dead as dead gets by the time I racked a second round into my old Enfield and walked over to it). But I suppose growing up rural and actually hunting for food or turning live animals into packaged meat for consumers I l’ve just seen more of it than most.
  9. News? Communication? Your asking for to much...
  10. I’m thinking they’ll be sticking to roughly quarterly major updates based on the trend so far, but who really knows?
  11. I frequently see larger animals (bison, moose, elk, big gators)... I don’t know what is happening in your game...
  12. But... the thieves and bullies are the whole reason long deliveries pay more.... It’s almost like you are cheating to gain more without the risk when you deliberately glitch the system to make the long delivery unopposed... I firmly believe stealing a long delivery is not at all griefing. It’s just playing the game. (Maybe a little bullyish, but outlaws are kind of bully’s...) I should also add that (at least at this point in time) most opposition is close to balanced after the first few levels (unlike GTA with all the ridiculous contraptions). A level 50 player can easily hold off a level 200+ player. Unless maybe one or the other is deliberately cheating...
  13. By all means, go after the wagon if you feel up to it. That’s part of the multiplayer fun... as long as it all ends when the mission ends anyway. Yeah, I know what you mean. You try to give someone the chance only to pass by and see the message ‘shot by a bolt action rifle’....
  14. You are not the first to pick up on it. That cross draw holster has been discussed ever since Arthur put it on for the first time last year....
  15. Well... to be fair... the nature and f the game tends to lead people to shoot first and ask questions later when doing a mission. In this case, I’m not sure I can blame them for ‘clearing A path’...
  16. I can’t think of a single time I’ve ever been poisoned... do snakes poison you differently now?
  17. Well, I certainly won’t argue about a wagon wench either.... maybe to double as a camp wench?
  18. The Liquor always figures it out... but the boys are in bed, the wife is away for the night and I have a day off tomorrow. Time for some vodka and video games.
  19. I think there is a line between legitimate conflict and griefing... where exactly that line is I suppose is a little subjective, but in my mind, killing someone fishing (for example) for absolutely no reason doesn’t make you an old west outlaw, just an annoying psychopath. However, trying to steal my delivery? Or steal my 3* cougar? Maybe take my bounty (if they ever fix that system)... all legitimate conflict and desired...
  20. In single player you can finish the animal off with your knife in a short animation without lowering the quality. In multiplayer, your only option is to let it bleed and take the small honour hit... However, I tend to stomp them before skinning them if it’s already a lower quality animal...
  21. Just a guess on the results... but... I know, wrong era by a couple decades....
  22. New cloths come and go all the time. It’s likely they actually read your feedback.
  23. Honestly, I think there are a few places where a property could be set up, and towns can be built in. Where the problems crop up is when 24 people all want to log on and all with the same property.... I imagine they would have to run it similar to GTA with the apartments/property or only allow one player with that property to log on at the same time. Either way, it is workable. as for the gold panning/mining, that would be A fun diversion. But with gold being the currency it is, and the only form of micro transaction Rockstar has, I wouldn’t expect it to pay much more than any other given activity.
  24. Well, John is a bit of a di*k... And he was on a mission to hunt down and kill his old friends. He didn’t have time to be Mr. Nice to a stolen horse... Or the guy riding the next one...
  25. I seem to recall in RDR1 I’d ride a horse into the ground, kill it, skin it than steal another to continue on my journey. Sometimes if my horse did something to annoy me I’d shoot it in the back of the head while riding it (it’s been years, I seem to remember wing able to shoot the horse while riding it though). The skins and meat were worth a little bit at the store...
