I agree with this... Nothing in a video game (Save maybe the invention of the holodeck) will truly capture the reality of a gun fight... the closest you will get is firing a course on the range with real guns, and even that is a lame simulation... I’m happy having a character that knows what to do and does it with a couple button presses...
-
We’re they the same kind of liquor? I found two goose eggs but they only counted as one find Firth’s collector...
-
Well, in real life I like the set up for red dead... but I also shoot one gun at a time out of my strong hand and change guns rather than reload. For a dual wield, I’d wear one on each hip.

im Sure after this new update gets a little play and feedback and fine tuning we will start seeing more regular updates and content releases.

Am I the only one who loaded three new ability cards Tuesday?

No, not yet.... tomorrow I’ll play around some more lol -
Wow... my first hot topic...
-
Yes... I really don’t like most of the faster animations... looting, reloading, etc... it feels so wrong when you get everything out of the guys pockets by barely reaching a hand out. Where’s the risk? I agree they made it feel to much like a PvP arcade shooter with a lot of the changes, it does take away some from the role play like feel.

I had a stranger on the side of the road sell me one for $5, much like that encounter in story mode... I’m not sure if I could have robbed her, or just shot her and taken it...
-
I did notice more trains running around everywhere. Ever gave it much thought though.
-
Kill things, skin/pluck, stick as many feathers, furs, teeth laws etc. as you can on your horse/satchel, deliver to camp. You don’t need to bring full carcasses
-
I never noticed anything about the trading missions... though I admit I have one one one long delivery... however I did pass danger close to a red-blip player who was on a rampage. He didn’t come my way (either he had no interest in engaging another player, or he wasn’t notified to take me out). I did see the message that rival traders can steal my supplies... I’m not sure if that means only traders can get notified, or if it’s proximity base or what... just not enough time in to know the answers...
-
I was doing my first delivery and came across a woman selling a treasure map. I found some eggs for my collector while taking in a bounty... like I was trying to say, it’s all sort of blended into the background in such a way that it kind of just gives purpose to the things we’ve been doing already while giving us a few extra activities...

Well, my internet kicked in and I tried out some of the new material... I started up cripp’s trading co., got my bounty license, bought my collector kit from the gypsy girl and joined the wheeler elite club or whatever it’s called (I knew all that gold I’d been hoarding would come in handy). My first impression of the new roles, I love them. They’re just passively there adding a purpose behind everything you do. Cripps takes your hunting odds and ends and at some point fills his wagon for you to deliver. I made $68 for a long delivery. bounties are available all over. Just pick a poster and go catch one if you feel like it. I haven’t done much for the collector yet, but once you start a collection (in my case eggs)it starts out like a treasure map. Then in your travels if you nearanother item, you are prompted to go investigate../ going back to the survey pole, I’m officially changing my answer to ‘dabbling in all three. I like the new feel.

...it’s taking me forever to download:(

Closest thing to a "True Honorable Posse" moment I've dealt with

I honestly find this the more likely reaction. Sure, finding a group of di*ks can ruin your day, but the average player I personally run into is more along these lines lol. -
I can’t say how it will pan out yet, but it seems to me with the coming update they’ll be adding plenty of immersive way to make money and earn things... on top of the ways that already exist suck as hunting, fishing, stranger missions etc...
-
I was joking around... but a little touch of realism is kind of nice.
-
Well, if I’m buying a bulk order of quality goods from you, I sure wouldn’t want you to bring it to me in your dirty old bloody gut and carcass wagon...
-
It does sound similar to GTA businesses... yet not exactly. For one, we have the proximity based radar blips and I don’t see them changing it. Also, they haven’t made it overly ridiculous with overpowered DLC yet. Also, they mention spotting rival business wagons at a greater distance, so It sounds like the act of taking them out will be something more than ‘look, someone is doing something. Go kill them everyone.
-
Honestly don’t know... time spent in game? Or online? If so, I don’t pay attention to that stuff anyway.
-
I have to admit, the camp business thing sounds very similar to biker businesses in GTA (only they haven’t released flying unicorns that sh*t always on target dynamite yet)... but overall I think it’s the kind of thing being asked for... butcher right at your camp? Hunt down anyone who gets a bounty? (And talk of jail time for the bad guy). Hunting wagons and bounty wagons? Attacking other business, or being attacked at camp or making deliveries... hunting other PCs with bounties... Personally it’s the purpose behind PVP I have been praying for

I’ll be making more time after the 10th... Bolas! I never even thought of this classic weapon. Could be fun.

I would like to see something similar to this. Maybe make use of the jail (hanging would be just too easy). But you get caught, your are sentenced to x hours of play time stuck in the prison (which could evolve to have its own little world with missions and opportunities). Say killing a blue non defensive player gives you an hour, killing a defensive mode player gives you two. Add 15 min for each NPC murder (30 min for cops) looting, robbing etc. Can all tack on sentence time. Your bounty becomes payable after you get caught and all time on your sentence must be served with active play time (sure, I suppose there will be those that just rubber band their control for 8 hours and go to work... that’s a problem that can be worked on). If the jail was developed right with some thought behind it, there could be missions you could do. Perhaps some could be rewarded by lightning your sentence. Others could earn you some money/items but increase your sentence. Plus the interaction with other players in jail that could cause problems in your jail time... it might actually be fun. But I haven’t spent much time thinking it all through yet.

I stopped at black flag... it was fun, but it felt a lot like Sid meier’s pirates. Honestly, I haven’t tried much on the PS4 yet. I bought it specifically for RDR2. Though over this winter I’m sure I’ll be digging through the used bin at EB Games and the likes, whe I have time for games again lol.

Well, I love games with a lot of story to them. I bought up all the Metal Gear games. Assassin’s creed was a favorite of mine for a while. It’s what I love about the more recent GTA games.... there are infinite stories to be told in this series. As well as RDR. There’s a lot more stories to be told in the American west than Ductch and his issues....
