  1. Or label them... so you know why you put that pin there two weeks later after a night of Liquor and Gaming...
  2. Yes. I believe after the last update your pins stay where you put them. As for how to set them, it’s L3 on my PS4. I’m sure it’s got some equivalent for XBox
  3. Yeah... but some of us just can’t get online daily... I really wish I could sometimes, but between one boy under 2, a wife in her 9th month of pregnancy, a full time job, hunting, fishing, a gun collecting and shooting addiction, a Passion for riding my old Harley... and being of an age where you are assumed to be too old for video games, honestly I’m lucky if I get a few hours twice a week these days LOL. Thank god for micro transactions (though even with my limited time I’ve only bought the 25 bar one time offer deal.. and I still have more than I bought).
  4. True. Being an international game it’s bound to have the odd language issue. That being said, when people are on the mic they almost always seem to be speaking English on the servers I land on. I think they tend to direct people regionally as much as possible minimizing language issues for the most part.
  5. Yes. Chat seems restricted to blue blip range... Now l, on the not me of people making inaudible sounds, or not saying anything meaningful... did you try to engage them in any way (with the mic, not your guns lol). It could very well be that many are just riding around not bothering to talk because of the Psyco-Mute Phenomenon (I’m not sure if I created it, but I think psycho-mute should become a thing). I ask because I’ve found the quite guys (where you hear nothing but mild background noise) are usually more than willing to have some form of communication but for whatever reason (months of dealing with psycho-mutes perhaps) they just don’t bother initiating.
  6. Like I said before... I’m not going to win this one. But I’m tired of all the psycho-mutes.. @Harlock1796... I don’t know if I’m just lucky or what, but your little three hour log sounds like an exaggeration of every encounter I’ve had since playing RDR... I’m not saying you are exaggerating, but I’m just not hearing this and my mic is on 24/7 while I’m on.
  7. I’ll keep that in mind next time I run across one of your posts... Advice or experiences unwanted unless specifically stated in the title...
  8. Personally... if someone shows up at my hideout and starts looting bodies without helping or backing off (or responding at all) when I talk on the mic, they get shot. If they come back, they get shot again... However, if someone shows up and helps me clear it, I let them loot with me... I have noticed the enemies for missions showing up. Sometimes they just spawn close to another player I think. See red and go check it out, shoot the place up, by the time you get there the job is done.
  9. Well, if more people talked, encounters can definitely feel less like griefing and more like role playing a western character... Just saying...
  10. Personally, I don’t mind them trying to make a little money. You want to play you have to pay. It’s like that in absolutely every hobby I’ve ever had. At least here it’s (so far) pretty optional. It might change, it might not. But I don’t expect them to keep supporting and upgrading and paying for programmers, servers, infrastructure etc. out of pure generosity. i know I generally don’t run around offering my work and services for free.
  11. Thanks @lumper. It might be a loosing team, but it’s good to know I’m not the only one on it.
  12. Yeah. The same thing happens in races. Every single one I’ve been in has at least one guy rubber banding his controller and riding in a circle. It gets annoying having to wait for the time out all the time.
  13. Headshots and shotguns. I’d suggest playing some PVP modes for awhile, if for no other reason than to practice you combat skills. Try to focus on modes that allow you to respawn and get back into the fray. It’s really one of those things that you just need to practice it starts to click with you.
  14. Don’t worry. I’m not going to win this one. I get why people wouldn’t want to hear some certain other people (personally I just mute the odd offender to the ear-balls as I come across them. It’s not like it’s absolutely everyone). But it really does take a lot out of the online world when people don’t interact with each other in my opinion.
  15. Yeah... I should have distinguished between free roam and PvP. My grip is with the freeroam mutes. PvP does come with more competitive trash talk when there are mice on, though still surprisingly quiet when you need to communicate with someone.
  16. Maybe it’s just me then. Since I don’t have groups of video game friends I regularly play with, about 90% of any interaction I get out of online is with randoms. It’s hard to have any kind of meaningful interaction with randoms when they don’t talk and/or don’t listen. It just turns into a world of psychotic mutes that may or may not kill you at any instant.
  17. Yes. If you get the guy(s) chasing you it should end the game. It seems unfair that they only have to get you once but they get multiple tries.
  18. What diarrhea? All I hear is crickets...
  19. I tend to ignore the jewelry odds and ends, so I often forget I got all that junk in my satchel. But then when I hit the fence every now and then I get a nice surprise of bonus cash
  20. I find that most are willing to let things go after a game event, be it assassination, or ther trying to steal your wagon or whatever else. The ones that don’t are likely either griefers that spend their day running around the map killing people for no reason, or the hard line anti griefers that think even though they’re in a game event that specifically calls for a PvP encounter, that you griefed them and now they have to chase you around for an hour and teach you a lesson... both of these types are much less common than the guy who plays the game and rides on after it’s done.
  21. I 💯% agree. Let me pick the game I want to play. I do like a few showdown modes, but I truly hate how I have to play absolutely everything else and waste an hour between the 3 minute rounds of what I want to play. At the very least, make a vote page like on GTA so the group your with can move around between rounds based on majority rules. Mics are another pet peeve of mine. They’re not expensive (mine came free packaged up with my PS4 control) . No one is expecting studio quality sound, but it’s an online multiplayer game. I’m really tired of finding a world full of mutes absolutely everywhere I go. as for the freeroam events, I don’t mind. If I don’t want them, I don’t go. If something catches my eye, I go. Most of them are things I’d never think to actually go out of my way to sign up for. I’m happy how they work.
  22. It’s good. just a little off topic clowning around. I’m pretty sure no one feels like their balls are busted. My bad for posting a silly magic card meme
  23. I was being a little tongue in cheek. Sorry... And it was more in reaction to @Kean_1 than to the fact you posted lol.
  24. Sorry... couldn’t resist 🙄
  25. I think it might also work if you are in a posse or not. I think individuals are less likely to be targeted. But, as long as all parties involved leave it to the mission and don’t use it as an excuse to start a two hour running gunfight across three states, I find it a fun little diversion.
