  1. Could not agree more. For some reason, when I buy the digital version, I feel like I just illegally downloaded a pirated copy from Napster. AND -- The way I usually get new games is for Christmas/birthdays. Kinda hard to wrap a digital version.
  2. Dude. I'm glad YOU didn't live in the 1800's. 😌 Maybe he's an orphan and living with a cruel family who uses him as slave labor? Then maybe the gang visits the farm and sees how they treat Seth. So they decide to pop them all to do Seth "a favor." But they leave him with their rotting corpses -- which he now likes them much better this way since they can no longer hurt him. So he starts developing an unnatural affection for them in that state. Blecch. What are we discussing??!! Video games ought not to give one such heebie-jeebies.
  3. Here's my take: R* is most well known for their Grand Theft AUTO series. As such, it seemed a necessity for them to include an automobile in RDR. While you, as the player, got to ride in (and shoot from) it, you were never allowed to drive it -- which Rockstar later admitted was probably a mistake. That said, they DO have ample opportunity to remedy that problem here. To the OP's point, there were some decent automobiles available in 1899. With this crew being modeled after "The Wild Bunch," it's not outlandish to think that if one of those gang members had come across an actual automobile, they would have tried to swipe it for a fun joyride. I can picture Dutch or Arthur discovering a single-cylinder 1899 Packard locked-up in a barn somewhere and taking it for a spin. This would not only remedy the flak they got from not making the car driveable in RDR, but would also be a nice nod to their top franchise.
  4. . . . who is, in my opinion, the ONLY reputable source for credible horse pricing.
  5. Isn't that XBox Live? Dude, I'm on PS4. How dare you, sir?! Wasn't he played by Demon . . . ??
  6. Love you too, Bropollo. Here's how the magic's done:
  7. @YodaMan 3D, @Ibarrola - please don't double-post. I merged your back-to-back posts into one. You can always click "Edit" and add more thoughts on if your post is the last in a thread. Thanks, gents!
  8. Great. Thanks, Bropollo. Now I'll be singing the theme song to One Day At A Time all morning, but subbing out "Day" for "Game." Come to think of it, thinking all morning of the wacky antics of Pat Harrington Jr. as "Schneider" isn't quite so bad . . .
  9. Hey @Fribbo! Welcome to the forums! Upon arrival here at the RDR2 forums, one's first stop should be to quickly look over the forum rules, found here: https://www.rdr2.org/forums/topic/807-forum-rules/ Next, please tell us a bit about yourself by creating a new thread in the "Introduce Yourself" section: https://www.rdr2.org/forums/forum/5-introduce-yourself/ At that point, you are encouraged to begin posting and commenting. I highly recommend visiting the Gamertag thread and posting your info. There, you can find many other players on your platform who would be happy to ride with you. https://www.rdr2.org/forums/topic/858-post-yer-platformgamertag-here/ We're glad your here! Enjoy the forums! - Skunk
  10. @CMcC - I merged your double-post for ya. Yer welcome. 😉 I only like Battlefront for Star Wars, but if they ever did a Civil War-era edition, I would probably pick it up.
  11. Ahh, you suggest a realism SLIDER! I like it. Get someone at Rockstar on that, pronto.
  12. Suppose they made a toggle . . . ?
  13. This made me think of something: I know it would have been oogie, but shouldn't dynamite have blown animals and people into body parts . . . ? In the original RDR, they just rag-dolled in the air and landed dead. Would have been much better if they tore to pieces. The same with shooting people with a shotgun - you could walk up to a dead body, shoot them in the face with your shotgun from a foot away, and they just kinda shift. It would have been much better if it had made the head just -- kinda -- atomize. Hope they fix that in RDR2.
  14. I agree -- hence the hope to cancel the animation.
  15. Don't know. Just came across it online. Looks legit.
  16. That's both gross and cool at the same time. On another note, did you know in the original RDR, that Dead-Eye worked for molotov cocktails, too??

Those are two of my favorites! I laugh my butt off at the dimes and the "Baby, they was RIGHT!" line every time. Two more of my favorites: Lamarr: "Just think about your secretaryyyy . . . " Bart: "What do YOU like to do?" Jim: "I don' know . . . play chess . . . screw . . . " Bart: "Well, let's play chess."

Could not agree more. In fact, the mods have even been discussing this film quite a bit! Riveting story. One of my all-time favorites. I only got the "I am not from Havana!" joke a couple of years ago. Leave it to Mel Brooks to tell a joke it takes you 40 years to get.
  19. I think this is only a PC/DreckBox game, so @Truth may be able to sound-off on it.
  20. I hate to make you think of this, but . . . . . . it will come back when you have-- grandkids. . . . sorry. 😓
  21. This is true until you have your own children who get excited about it. I adored Christmas as a kid, then it waned as I got into my teens and early twenties. But when my first child started to love Christmas, it came back to me full-force. The spirit of giving really overtakes the spirit of receiving when that happens.
  22. You put this together? Very well done, sir! An enjoyable watch, to be sure. I'm sure some of the folks at R* would grin at you catching a few of these.
  23. Maybe we don't field-dress. Maybe we drop them off and someone else does it for us?
