I don't really get it myself. I was very disappointed when I discovered I can't swing my knife around at my leisure. I thought it would've been a good intimidation technique... It seems that the knife is mostly just for cutting ropes and the skinning animation. Can't really use it on animals... Like I said, there's a lot that is never explained. Seems like everyday someone posts something here that I never knew about.

@rick249kdr try to be more welcoming, we don't want to scare someone off just because they weren't aware of something... @Ru5tyTalon if you have any other issues, feel free to ask. Most of us are more than happy to offer up tips and help out any way we can. There are a lot of things the game doesn't explain very well (or at all). I've spent over 48 hours in game and I'm still learning new things all the time!

You can't just swing it whenever either, you have to have a target.

Probably had crack in the middle of the cubes. Good stash in case the law shows up.

I decided to shoot and skin anything that moved on my way to deliver the while bison pelt to the trapper, took me like 2 hours...

Whats your highest bounty & what did you do?
Truth replied to Jmuir's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Leave... Walking away isn't a crime... That's as good a reason as any. Looks like you had a good funnel going there. -
@lonley22 For reference (since I mentioned your ps4 pro is displaying RDR2 like my regular xbox is) This one is really blurry, but I was riding full speed:

I don't bother with carcasses unless I need it for an upgrade (or it's a legendary animal). It's just not worth the hassle in my opinion. I just shoot and skin everything I see, stacking as many pelts as I can collect onto my horse. With that satchel upgrade, you'll have a crap load of meat in no time that will easily make up the difference.

Forgot to come look for this, glad you joined us! I know one of his favorite tricks is getting me to argue with him even though we essentially agree with each other. Not sure how it happens, but it's always fun!

"My Horse" He's a badass. One time, his head just burst into flames while I was standing next to a shop. That's the only time I had to revive him.

Always keep an eye out for the tips in the top left corner, they're full of useful information like that.
-
That worked for you too?!? I was hoping it was a useful tip, but had my doubts... @gigemaggs99you should've just skinned it. You don't need the carcass, just the pelt. Pelts wot be lost once they're on your horse unless you die. Carcasses fall off all the time...

How can I tell what my total playtime is?
Truth replied to JohnConnor's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
So... Like 45 minutes? 2 hours? -
I've known @BropolloCreed79 for a while now, I didn't have to understand the words he used to know how he was role playing. I actually looked for that the other day, but I didn't see it. To be fair, I wasn't at a liquor store... I ended up buying something else that seemed appropriate enough.

Have to be that guy (again - Try checking the water!

I skimmed right over it pretending it wasn't there... Edit: psshhh I'm already there!

Challenge ACCEPTED.

Well at least there's some confirmation... Oh well. I'm exploring more than anything, so having it now is probably more beneficial than for those who want to focus on the story.
-
Don't worry too much, he'll make some fine glue!

I haven't gotten around to that yet (haven't had much playtime this week...), but I did read and enjoy your post! That post is my only really motivation to go catch it, I've grown attached to My Horse (that's his name). Are you sure that's an option? I tried to read into it but couldn't find anything...

Yeah that was my first few attempts... The panther was the most difficult, but the most fulfilling. I really enjoyed that hunt.
-
I dropped a few tips for locating/killing the panther here:

That screenshot was during the eagle eye scene... That is preprogrammed...
