About 3 seconds into looking at that picture, my eyes are burning... I feel bad for all of you...
-
I figured. Sometimes it's the obvious things though lol The guide was very vague on the legendary fish... I remember looking this up before and it didn't really say anything. It specifies than legendary animal pelts will go to the trapper if you die, but nothing about how the fish work...

Whats your highest bounty & what did you do?
Truth replied to Jmuir's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Might have been part of a mission. I know I've had that too, but I don't remember how I got it. -
I did the same thing... I finally realized what they did (because I'm oblivious at times) and figured I should use them before it's too late. Hopefully it still counts.

I spent a few hours trying to catch one, then realized I had the wrong lure equipped. Worth double checking, but I doubt that's it. You're trying multiple spots, right? Changed your bait? Left the area for a few days? Completely close/reload the game? Just trying to think through what I would try... I know I'm probably not helping...
-
Maybe as a cheat code or something, but that is totally unrealistic for a game that focuses so much on realism. That said, I would enjoy rampaging through town on a bear...
-
If it's not crossed off, I would assume it's still there to be caught (again).
-
Not even total completion progress... Still had fun though, as frustrating as it was at times.
-
sh*t, I hope I didn't waste those special tonics... Oh well... Now I know lol
-
I got lucky and spotted the cougar chasing some deer. Then got lucky again and found some dude being attacked by one (random encounter). I spent like 6 hours hunting a panther though, so I get it completely lol That Legend of the East satchel was totally worth it though.

Do you know if there's a level cap for you health/stamina/dead eye? I feel like I stopped earning anything once they got to level 8... I haven't really looked into it, this just reminded me.

How can I tell what my total playtime is?
Truth replied to JohnConnor's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
I haven't bothered looking there... I'll check that out! I finally tried installing that companion app this morning, but my phone is too dumb for it apparently... -
Perfect rabbit pelt challenge question?
Truth replied to JohnConnor's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Perfect advice. Thank you for saving me the effort of typing all that lol @JohnConnor it also helps if you "study" the animal first. I believe that's how you're able to start seeing the star quality while tracking. I just ride with my varmint rifle and take a shot at anything that moves. The auto aim is pretty good at hitting the right spot, and that trinket helps ensure you get a decent pelt. -
I don't think it has any impact on your gang interactions, but I'm pretty sure I read that townies will respond differently and sometimes be hostile (could be wrong, I'll try to remember to fact check this).

How can I tell what my total playtime is?
Truth replied to JohnConnor's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
At the home screen (or in the menu) press start on the game, go to (I think it says "official clubs" now), then go over to achievements (rb). From there you can view your stats. For RDR2 it shows game time, gold medals earned, story completion, and total completion. I wish they had shown more (body count, compendium stuff, etc), but most games don't seem to utilize the stats very well. Not sure if you can on ps4. -
What did you find most difficult?
-
I only saw there... Meh, I'll find them when I find them. I also have the guide, so I can just look through that. I've hunted the important things already, so I can hold off on that until I finish the story (or at least chapter 2). I might hunt the legendary animals first though...
-
I'll be attempting that later, thanks for the idea! I used the varmint rifle (always keep it handy). I could see how the bow would be more difficult. I also haven't adjusted the auto aim, so that really helps my accuracy. lol I haven't seen any crabs yet, but my horse is great at running over sh*t.
-
I've shot down at least 3, but that was pure lucky response. If you don't spot them the second they take off as you ride past, you're not going to shoot them. Do you just scan around with the binoculars? I haven't bothered bird watching yet, but I do want to see them all eventually. Is there a strategy to it?

And I'm bound to spoil something at some point, so I apologize ahead of time lol
-
Lmfao so obvious that I didn't even think about it
-
I have no intention of buying new games right now. I got sick of it. I didn't even buy RDR2 (won it here) lol I just really need something to make that 4k tv purchase worthwhile, and upgrading my xbox would accomplish that.

Hunting Legendary animal : respawn timer after it leaves?
Truth replied to Volt's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
That's the important part, but the trapper will also make clothes out of the pelts. Also keep in mind that once you spot the animal, you can just unload on it and not have to worry about damaging the pelt. No need to line up a nice headshot, just blast the ****er down! It's also worth noting that the animals behave very realistically (for the most part). A deer will be spooked just like IRL, and a panther will jump you from behind without hesitation. Take it slow and keep an eye out. -
My mistake, I thought you were comparing the original xbox one to the xbox one x. I'm thinking about making that upgrade, that's why I jumped in. The xbox one x will be on sale for $400 next week, so I might just get it then. I would go for the PS4, but I don't know anyone (except for on here) that has one, and I don't have any games for it.

Still seemed a little harsh... I get that, but it's not really a spoiler if it tells you absolutely nothing about the story... I guess my point is there was a better (calmer) way to respond to that. I'm not saying the OP didn't goof, but your response was a little overboard (in my opinion). No big deal, OP has moved on and so can we.
