Also had another leg coming through his chest... I tried to ride him like that, but it made him normal again. I was hoping I could ride the abomination around for a bit. The screenshots don't really show how ****ed up he was. Imagine the standard movements a horse makes while it's just standing there, but all contorted to match his new structure.

One would think quitting triggers it...

Alright, I'll give you that one...

I wouldn't like that. I shouldn't have to restart entirely just to join my friends that chose to play in pvp. I still think removing players from the map would be all it takes to stop the trolling. That way, everyone can still play together without any segregation or separate servers. Trolls can still troll, but they'll have a much harder time finding people to screw with. Casual players can actually play the game, while still having to watch their backs.

I ended up getting this one AFTER fighting off the law. First attempt, they stopped the train and tried shooting me. I rode off for a minute and came back to find a completely abandoned train. I ran up to the front (after looting of course) and got the train going again. Quickly hopped out and shot down 4 birds (already had credit for 1) with time to spare. Far less frustrating than having to find another train, but I got a HUGE bounty for stopping the train in a populated area.

Why HDR implementation is such a big thing?

I just made the upgrade last week (to the xbox one x) and couldn't tell the difference. Then I realized yesterday that I have to actually change a few settings for things to work correctly. That's my project for tonight... Hopefully adjusting the settings will make it better. I was really disappointed that it looked the exact same... -
Been watching Godless on Netflix....

What about the first 2 hours of the RDR2 story? I didn't need my controller for most of that lol -
So the auto save file was deleted? Why would they do that...?

My tip I quoted a few posts up has been reliable if you're interested. Took me hours to get my first one, then I figured that out. Now it takes more effort to ride over there.

I found one of those on Sunday, but I guess I forgot to take a screenshot... I have more luck (when being attacked) on my horse. They knock you off instead of instantly killing you, but then the run off to circle back for the kill. This gives you just enough time to pull out a gun and line up your shot. Anytime I've been attacked on foot, they've killed me (unless I noticed the dot)...

It's been a long time coming. I've known the value of the mighty bean since my first burrito, so it didn't take much convincing.
-
That does it! I'm putting ALL my money into baked beans RIGHT NOW.

He certainly has a way about him, doesn't he?

First cougar I encountered was chasing down a few deer. I should've watched it, but it made for an easy kill and made up for how much time/effort I spent on the panther. I also found 2 wolves rolling around playing with each other. Got myself 2 perfect wolf pelts with no effort. Came across 1 wolf eating something while 2 were laying down nearby. I watched for a minute through binoculars (I was up on a mountain for some reason) as the 2 got up and chased off the other before returning to their free meal. The little things like that are what make this game great.

That's how it went for me as well. Took me like 4 hours to encounter it the first time... Now I know exactly how to spot it before it spots me: You can actually drop the bait anywhere around that spot and wait. I did go back and test this (needed more panther pelts for the trapper) and it's definitely repeatable. I've literally spent at least 8 hours in that area, this is THE BEST way to kill it (that I found). I don't think it ever took more than a minute for me to spot it. Takes about a day to respawn after killing one.

That must've been a funny sight I've noticed rotting boars and deer all over the map. I also just figured it was predators. Hell, a dead boar is what lead me to the easiest way to kill a panther.

Whoever came up with the idea of calling it that deserves a raise.

Sounds like something I would do once in a while, but we're definitely in the minority there. Most people just use it to troll. There's no way to ignore that fact.

I'm supporting a change to the existing mode, not suggesting an entirely new mode... I don't understand why you're so confused by this... I can't think of any good reason to keep them other than for trolls, but I also haven't played online yet. I'll assume (for now) that there may be a decent reason. In GTAO it made sense. For one, there were phones (a realistic way that one could assume player locations would be communicated). Second, you could stop someone from completing a resupply/delivery mission and make some money (not sure if that's possible in RDR).
-
I'm not asking for any extra modes at all (read the whole post you just quoted). We went over this yesterday... Just because other games have (or do) do it, doesn't mean I'm supposed to like it or want it in this game. GTAO has flying cars with rocket launchers, doesn't mean that will work in RDR...

I think removing players from the map would solve the problem. Like I've said before, you can't troll me if you can't find me. I don't really want a passive mode, I would rather it remain one mode that EVERYONE can enjoy. You still have to watch your back, but you're far less likely to encounter people that log on strictly to ruin the game for others. That's exactly what you're saying...
