The one time it was helpful that my horse stole my guns for no apparent reason. I wonder how long it would've taken me to figure that out on my own lol Glad that helped!

Are you sure the gun needs to be maintained? They only wear down when used.

I guess the easiest way around it is to not use profanity... Stupid, I know. But it works.

I noticed that some of them don't really track correctly, mostly the ones that require you to do things consecutively. It may help to make sure you don't have a rifle with you during the attempt. I think I got this one at some farm. Just take your time and try not to pull out any other weapons.

Didn't need a perfect one, just had to skin it. That was all I needed for the "skin deep" achievement. Finally just got it near Willard's Crest.

@Kormath @ZachW horses do spawn at that location in the epilogue, not sure about the white Arabian though. Ironically I just got mine while hunting moose.

@HooverRAD not only did that work, but the white Arabian was practically forced on me lol Thanks for the tip! Still need to find a female moose, but I got a perfect pelt right away.

With a little effort, you can also angle yourself so you toss them back on shore. You still get the honor, and you end up with a pile of fish to pick up and sell. Found that out on accident lol

@PoochieMoo you can always just fish and throw them back to regain honor, or just greet people as you pass them. I can't find a specific number for robbing a coach, but the biggest honor penalty mentioned in the guide is -20 (hold up a shopkeeper and steal from register/safe). For reference, max honor is 320, with 280 being the last perk (50% discount at all shops). I believe you have to get to a certain point in the story before you can achieve max honor though. You can also earn +5 honor just by paying off your bounty, so you really shouldn't be too worried about it.

So the problem is your tv?

When I upgraded to the xbox one x, I had to adjust some settings on my tv to get it to display in 4k. Either you really love your wife, or she was watching you type that lol Now that I think about it, my copy might have come with a map as well... I vaguely remember glancing at it while waiting for the game to install, but I might be mistaken.

@Pup If this is the one you're referring to, it's a standard edition. Nothing there mentions a map, but I'd assume that's part of the "Walmart exclusive". Still pretty cool though, more of a collectible than mine is lol The special editions proudly display that information right on the front:

You have to study them with either binoculars or a scoped gun. Xbox tracks your progress, so it's easier for us to tell.

I've noticed it's usually cheaper to surrender to the bounty hunters. (create a save beforehand to check for yourself)

That was the biggest reason for my struggles. And that was the second biggest reason lol Once you get attacked by a few cougars, you realize that they all do the same thing. You hear the growl as a warning. As long as you're aware of that, you can get the kill REALLY easily. Cougars will seek you out more often than not. The panther will jump you, but you still have to find it first... I never did find it in that second location. Even at 100% completion, there's a ton I have yet to see. I feel like that 100% is more like 75%. It even says in the guide that there is more content it doesn't mention.

@ZachW I strongly recommend working toward the Legends of the East Satchel. Took me a lot of time, but I had a lot of fun doing it. It allows you to hold 99 of almost every item, so it will surely come in handy. You can get it without doing the work at the end of the game, but it's hardly necessary at that point. It's best to get the satchel upgraded early on. I'd also recommend working on the challenges as you go.

Thank you for letting us know. It's too often that people get advice here and never come back to say if it works or not. FYI that's a common fix for many bugs in many games. If you encounter a weird bug, that's usually the first thing you should try.
