I could've sworn I saw them strapped to a carriage at some point... Never really bothered with the horses much.
-
I haven't tried this myself, but can't you hijack an NPC's horse and make it your own?

Rdr2, f13 style?

Is it possible to download the official strategy guide?
Truth replied to Foxtrot's question in Questions & Answers
The paperback was like $17 when the game came out. Since I won my copy, I didn't mind spending the money on the guide. I'm also very glad I got it. My stupid smart phone isn't good enough for the app, so I have no idea how helpful that is. -
I got 100% and honestly thought it would take a lot more. I took things slow at first, then got through the story before worrying about the extra requirements. Keep an eye on the total completion section of your progress. You're probably focusing on things that aren't necessary, like I was.

I posted a tip here: Hopefully that will save you some frustration.

Go get a handy in the bath and be happy you got that... I knew one of them would show up here eventually...

Mario Party 3 or SSB

Get good! A carcass will degrade over time, the pelt alone will not. I rarely bothered with carcasses, you only needed for certain camp items anyway. You can load up your horse with as many pelts as you want though, so I always skin my kills right away and I can take my time getting somewhere to sell them. When you skin the animal, you should see a pop-up that says "perfect deer pelt" or "good deer pelt". Other problems I suspect you might be having are already posted here. For starters: I wouldn't bother with a bow unless it's something stupid like a toad. For some reason you can only get a perfect toad with a small game arrow. Varmint rifle won't do it... Next (since @Kormath jumped in while I was typing this portion): Always here with good advice. That trinket is a blessing, and knowing what weapon is best will save what's left of your hair. Also, as @LastUnicorn touched on, arrows travel much slower than bullets. You might be lined up for a perfect head shot, but your target is likely to move before the arrow reaches it. Then, of course, we have @Vaderspupil thinking outside the box. That's another sure way to get that perfect pelt. If none of this helps, then enjoy being bald! Edit: Forgot one thing. I'll make it a spoiler just in case, but it's only regarding an upgrade you'll get later on in the story.

How's that coming along? You have to be nearing the end by now, right?
-
Simply rebooting won't clear the cache. On xbox you just have to exit the game. This is the PS4 equivalent: On PS4: Press and hold the PlayStation button on your controller Select Turn Off PS4 Let the PlayStation 4 fully power down and wait at least 30 seconds Restart the PlayStation 4 Hold L1 + R1 while booting up the game Additional Resources: Sony PlayStation support: https://support.us.playstation.com/ From: https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/115015433528/Clearing-the-Cache-on-your-Console

If you can manage to collect another full set then I would assume so. If not, you can also just sell them to the fence.
-
That was my thought as well, but those pelts go on your horse. I have never encountered a cap to how many pelts my horse can take... @Mattadd if you don't normally do this, then completely exit the game and give it a fresh boot.

To lessen the "we wanted prostitutes!!!!" bitching. Only reason I can think of.
-
Can't say I ever noticed... I usually welcome the opportunity for easy big game meat. I would assume it's the same thing that I've noticed with ambushes. VERY annoying when trying to do the timed run challenges... Not sure if there's a way around it though.

I got jumped by a pack of wolves (no big deal) then jumped by a grizzly while skinning the first wolf... I had NO warning. I was riding around yesterday in cinematic view. Suddenly my horse bucks me right in front of a cougar that was already almost on top of me. THEN the ****ing cougar growled... Mid lunge... I just posted something the other day stating that they growl AS A WARNING... I've never had it jump THEN growl...

When I upgraded to the xbox one x, I had to change a setting (ON MY TV) just to allow my tv to display 4k from that specific input. Had nothing to do with the xbox, just a stupid setting that one would assume a 4k tv would do automatically. Might be worth looking into.

I vaguely recall skimming through that before. Didn't really phase me then. I wonder what the War Wagon will look like... I think I'm more intrigued by the wagons than the properties lol
-
Well that makes me feel better. I guess I've gotten used to hearing "it's coming soon" and being let down...
-
Is there any confirmation that we will be getting properties? I keep hearing about it, but I haven't seen anything "official". Seems to be something we're all just assuming will be added (unless I missed something). Edit: Also, @KylesDad7 : https://www.rdr2.org/guides/shaving-hygiene-guide/ You can't bathe, but you can wash off in the water/rain. You can also just change your clothes.

This is easiest in Van Horn/against townsfolk. Gangs seem to have a better grip on the gun. THANK YOU @KRooKeD KRoW! I would've gone mad with this one, but I actually remembered the tip. Edit: Took me several attempts to realize THERE ARE PUDDLES ON THE TRACKS!!! You're best off riding next to them.

I had some trouble with that one as well. Tip:

I'm almost at that point. I played online a bit over the weekend, but story mode was way better. Not much to do after 100% though. Save something for the endgame!
-
Regardless, it gets the point across very well!
