I was originally going to be named Archbell after my great great grandfather but my ma quickly realized it'd be cruel to give a child such a name so she named me Arch instead but ever since I was 11 or so I've always introduced myself as Archbell and although my last name isn't "End", that's what I tell people it is to see how gullible they are.

In various previews released recently, previewers talked about their experiences with the game after playing for 5 hours and what questions they had for Rockstar. After asking about the return of New Austin they were told by Rockstar that Red Dead Redemption's entire map will be returning in Red Dead Redemption II. What do you guys think of the return of Mexico in Red Dead Redemption II? I'm equally excited to see both Red Dead Redemption II's map and Red Dead Redemption's map 12 years younger.

Do you think people will abuse certain features?
Archbell replied to Anc1entC0re's topic in Red Dead Online
Rockstar never take the time to tweak or remove abused features, they don't always include them in their games though so I'm hopeful Red Dead Online won't be full of sweaty tryhards but we'll have to wait and see. I could make a long list of features included in GTA Online that served more as tools for tryhards to abuse than anything else, I would not be able to make a smilar list for GTA IV or Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer because those games were free of game breaking features. I hope Rockstar remember what their multiplayer games were like before the shitshow that was GTA Online. -
I don't think the crafting will become overwhelming as it seems to be somewhat optional. You don't have to gather ingredients and make your own meals, you can buy a meal in town or raid someone's pantry. You don't have to hunt down and animal to craft a warm coat, you can buy one in town. Having said that, I do believe crafting will have benefits such as one of a kind clothing pieces and meals that replenish your core/stats far better than the average premade meal.

Seems unjust that you got a two week ban without a proper explanation but I have no idea how you would go about getting unbanned although I do find this thread very interesting, I didn't even know game companies set up official forums for their games. This forum is the first forum I've ever joined and it's been nothing but pleasant, everyone here is brilliant. There was a waterhead/troll who went by the name "DOC" who was warned about spamming posts and posting a new topic for any random thought that popped into his head. He was dealt with pretty quickly and apart from the odd spambot all the people joining up now are great.

I wasn't a big fan of NYC, I didn't mind LA but that may of been because I was plastered most of the time. I don't judge people or places based on my own experiences especially if my experience is so limited.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Install Size, Timed Exclusivity Revealed
Archbell replied to Lonestar's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
The amount of GB required to download Red Dead Redemption II may differ from console to console, if I'm not mistaken 105GB is the amount of space required on a PS4 Pro which will run the game at 4K. Running a game with 4K textures will undoubtedly require more space than a base level Xbox One or PS4 although I doubt the difference in GB will be massive, Red Dead Redemption II will likely still be one of the biggest games on console. -
LOL, I've visited America a few times but I've only been to NYC and LA so I don't have an extensive feel or knowledge of the country. I'll probably explore more of the country at some point.

How keen are you on extended customization?
Archbell replied to Anc1entC0re's topic in Red Dead Online
I agree that there are some sick people in this world but putting a feature in a video game which allows players to port their face onto their virtual character is not gonna contribute to some psycho deciding to go on a rampage in real life, it's not even a drop in the ocean. If certain people have difficulty differentiating between real life and a video game that shouldn't affect the artistic/creative vision of a developer. Violence is as old as mankind itself and blaming any entertainment product for a rise in such behaviour is ridiculous, if it was a major issue and there was a link between people invisioning themselves in violent situations and those same people committing violent acts governments would be moving to confiscate VR Headsets from people and taking their computers just incase they Photoshop themselves into P. P. Rubens' Massacre Of The Innocents. The amount of attention given to mental health problems is an issue but putting ridiculous restrictions on art, video games or movies is not the answer, it's moronic. -
What TV or Movie Character would represent you in RDR2?
Archbell replied to YodaMan 3D's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Bruh... You wish, after playing Red Dead Redemption with you I can't see you playing as the Clint Eastwood type. LOL, your a mix between Bugs Bunny and the Schofield Kid from Unforgiven. -

After teasing some of Red Dead Redemption II's wildlife through some beautiful illustrations on Twitter Rockstar has dropped it's third feature looking at the game world. There's some nice screenshots showcasing customisation of Arthur and tidbits of information to take a gander at here. https://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption2/features/wildlife I'm looking forward to hunting, it looks so in depth but I know I'll spend most of my time distracted by everything else. What do you guys think you'll spend more time hunting? man or beast?

If I lived in America maybe I'd agree but living where I do I can't stand being in the middle of the two.

Same here, I don't want a repeat of GTA Online. I don't want another Freeroam experience where your bombarded with toxic players who can only kill you with explosives or by abusing Passive Mode, I hope Rockstar ditch the abused features of GTA Online and make Red Dead Online more gunplay based as well as bring back Friendly Freeroams instead of putting a glorified God Mode in Normal Freeroam. Noise pollution was a big problem in GTA Online, Rockstar could've reduced the problem by keeping the proximity chat they had introduced in Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer but instead they just went with a lobby chat. -

LOL, my bad. Forgot what the question of this post was which is pretty embarrassing seen as I posted the question but yeah, I'd prefer it if Rockstar didn't include modern weapons but it is 1899 and the Semi-auto Pistol has already been confirmed so I guess we'll have to wait and see how far Rockstar take it. -

So he doesn't want any semi-autos or modern machine guns in the game but he wants them to be purchasable at the beginning of the game? I'm so confused, I'm just gonna ignore his comment, it's crazy how young some of the people on this forum are. Anyway, I don't think Rockstar will include any overly unrealistic features/weapons or anything that doesn't fit the time period of the game but I may be proved wrong when Rockstar start running out of ideas for Red Dead Online, when they ran out of ideas for Red Dead Redemption DLC the last DLC they dropped included an Explosive Rifle which caused all kinds of cancerous players to come out of the woodwork and we all know what happened when they ran out of original ideas for GTA Online. Lets hope Rockstar stay true to Red Dead Redemption II's setting and realistic style of gameplay. -
Put an "end" after "Cowbell" and you've got a stripper group.

Hey man, great to have you on the forum Nice introduction but you'd be better off posting this in the "Off Topic" sub-forum under "Introduce Yourself". More people will see it there, this thread is just for general discussion pertaining to Red Dead Redemption II.

I don't think anyone here can rightfully pass judgement on someone for pre-ordering, I've pre-ordered a total of 4 games including the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption II.

The idea of a Freeroam where you can have PVP but it's still more or a less a friendly atmosphere sounds great but we as gamers can never have that, we can't have nice things because collectively we're a bunch of turds. We're cattle in Rockstar's corral, if they opened the gates and said "Okay, we're opening the gates but if you leave before we count to ten the game will be broken for weeks". Would we collectively listen? Of course we wouldn't, the game would break immediately. They tried to make a hybrid of Friendly and Normal Freeroam in GTA Online by introducing Passive Mode but that just broke the game. It's like going to the cinema and expecting to enjoy the film when everyone watching the film with you has a pause button they can use at anytime. This would be cool, I remember playing a game with my friends in Red Dead Redemption Multiplayer where we would turn our maps off, select one of the many cattle rustlers or misc criminals in Outfitter and walk around Thieves' Landing trying to kill eachother. I don't think anything like this will be possible in Red Dead Online though as we're going to have a more in-depth character customisation system instead of character skins and from what I've seen the NPCs will probably look very different from our online characters. Even if you couldn't differentiate between an NPC and another player by looks alone you'd still be able to spot other players pretty easily in most scenarios. Player 1: "Damn, he ran into this town. He could be anyone of the people here, how we gonna find him?" Player 2: "I see him, he's down the street teabagging a dead horse."

This is cool but this feature is only confirmed for Red Dead Redemption II Singleplayer not Red Dead Online. -

The Semi-automatic Pistol was already confirmed to be in the game by the third trailer but I doubt they'll be any modern machine guns in the game, the only machine gun we've seen is the Browning Mounted Machine Gun. It's been confirmed that you can loot dead bodies like in the previous game but when riding with your gang you'll have to move fast because your fellow gang members will do the same. It's been confirmed that you can pet dogs (petting cats hasn't been confirmed although I wouldn't be surprised if you can) but I doubt you can take them to get medical help if they're injured. Do you mean the "A" button or do you mean something else entirely? -
I love Summer as much as I love Winter, depends where you live I guess and how hot it gets. I live in London and it rarely gets hot to the point where it's unbearable, for me at least. I'm guessing you didn't enjoy having Summer off as a kid? I had some of my best memories during Summer as a kid and although kids can be annoying they deserve the time off.
