  1. Yeah I know what you mean, It's mostly Irish on my fathers side and there's a lot of them so family functions turn into total anarchy. I love my family but you can't always get along with everyone all the time, way back before I was born my nan's most quotable line when speaking to her daughter was "I love you, I just don't like you." which sounds pretty cruel but I can't help but laugh about it.
  2. Kristof Schreuf - Not Wild West themed but he's the only German I know. Zug Rauber Flussboot Bandit Mann aus Eisen Prinz von Pistolen Herzog von Rhodos There may be a few mistakes as I haven't spoken or written German in near 6 years so I had to Google Translate the last two.
  3. I'd like to think I'm friendly and welcoming to most of the people I meet and I very rarely avoid people, if people are toxic or they deliberately annoy me then I let them know they should cut it out and they either change their attitude or leave me alone. I don't do this to be petty or threatening, it just frustrates me when people think they're above other people and shouldn't be called out on they're actions.
  4. I saw an interview with Rob Wiethoff where he stated that he missed working with Rockstar and judging by his attitude I doubt he'd need much incentive. He has quite a distinctive voice and I think it's very likely one of Rockstar's priorities will have been to get him back for the role of John Marston, this video also gives me a strong reason to believe Rob Wiethoff is reprising his role. Skip to 3:30.
  5. Yeah, giving players the ability to adjust their character's height would require a lot of work and would affect the mechanics and animations of the game so it definitely won't be adjustable. Red Dead Redemption multiplayer didn't have character customization although it had character skins with various weights and body types but Red Dead Redemption II is most likely going to have character customization that's on par with if not better than GTA Online so I doubt they'll have adjustable weight and body types as that would mean making all clothing and accessories adjustable to fit all body types. It's highly unlikely but Rockstar could implement 3 pre-set body types (underweight, average weight, overweight) for each gender in the character creator although this would mean making 3 versions of every piece of clothing they create. I think this would be a great way to make our online characters less similar to one another but I highly doubt Rockstar would implement a feature like this as it would require a lot of work.
  6. That must've been a nice surprise, they must know you well or maybe you just drove them mad talking about it. If you get bored of pretending not to know you could always just mess with them and act disinterested in RDR2, fake a 180 and start talking about how RDR2's gonna be a disappointment and see how they react although that may be a bit of a dick move and it's unlikely anyone who's seen any trailers or info about RDR2 would believe you.
  7. I don't have much time to relax or eat during the day so I usually have a quick breakfast and then I won't eat till after work. Today I had some eggy bread for breakfast, later when I got back from work I cooked myself a sirloin steak then I relaxed in my garden with a zoot and a glass of IRN BRU mixed with White Rum.
  8. I'm very curious to see how the combat plays out in Red Dead Online, given the game is set in 1899 I'm assuming it'll be more gunplay based rather than explosive based like GTA Online. I'm sure Rockstar have put a lot of time and effort into how the combat is gonna work between players, one of the supposed leaks that came out recently stated that you'll only be able to see enemy players on your mini map when they're within a certain radius of you which sounds great to me but unfortunately all of this is yet to be confirmed by Rockstar. Personally, I'm tired of having to deal with people using Passive Mode to get kills in GTA Online so no matter how good Rockstar make the combat in Red Dead Online if they include Passive Mode I'm gonna have to stay well clear and keep to the singleplayer.
  9. GTA Online blew me away when I first played it in 2013 and despite the issues it was evident from day one that Rockstar put a lot of work into the Online and it's various features but now I can't stand GTA Online, with all the weaponized vehicles driving and flying around these days you'd be lucky to survive a drive around the map in an unarmoured car. I loved having shootouts in Red Dead Redemption and in GTA Online when it first dropped but no one uses guns in GTA Online anymore. I played in a Public Freeroam the other day with a friend and 26+ other random players, me and my friend spent 2 hours running around getting into fights on the ground, we died 14 times between us and only one of those deaths was by being shot, the rest were from jets, tanks, C4, RPGs, flying cars and bikes. When those are the only weapons being used it makes it really hard to have fun.
  10. That's what I'm hoping they do but I can't get my hopes up with Rockstar these days, not after GTA Online. If you'd told me in 2013 about all the things we'd get in the Gunrunning and Doomsday updates I'd have thought you were crazy.
  11. Agreed, I hope Rockstar keep it authentic and if Red Dead Online does indeed use GTA Online as a template I hope that further down the line they don't start giving the community everything they want because they know they can charge big bucks for it.
  12. I find it near impossible to predict what Rockstar are gonna do but I wouldn't be too surprised if they showed something off at E3, the timing would fit for marketing a game that releases late October. A fair few people believe the reason the descriptions of certain items and bonuses included in RDR 2's various editions were so confusing to some and included a lot of information that eluded to features we haven't been shown yet was because Rockstar weren't planning on releasing any information on RDR 2's different editions until after they showed something at E3 that would set up the reveal of the different editions and their contents but because the Standard Edition pre order bonuses were put up on the Xbox Store earlier than planned Rockstar felt they had to release information on all the other editions before people just went and pre ordered the Standard Edition.
  13. That doesn't sound half bad but Archbell is my actual name so I'd feel lazy using it.
  14. Yeah I saw them immediately, thanks for the link. Lot of good gang names I could borrow from, my favourite is probably the High Fives Gang.
  15. Hadn't thought about whether we'll be bad guys or good guys, probably something in the middle. I figure we'll just be a gang of gunfighters.
  16. I know I'm gonna be hopping into Red Dead Online at some point after I complete the story and I'm assuming Rockstar's Crews will be integrated into Online but I want a good name to ride under with my friends. I don't know if I'll be able to sport my Crew Emblems in Red Dead Online but if I can I want a good name under my Emblem, any suggestions whether they be cool, practical or funny are appreciated. Put a banner at the bottom and felt I had to put some text in there as a stand in until I think of a name. Made a few Emblems in Rockstar's Emblem Editor, most of them traced from a vast assortment of other images.
  17. I don't think Rockstar would take customization a step back like that and if you study the description and images there's a few clues that make me believe they'll be interchangeable clothing. "The Blackrose Bounty Hunter Outfit features a long oxblood-colored coat, a vest with gold pocket watch chain, and dark pants tucked into chocolate leather boots." Rockstar's description of both outfits state that the outfit "features" these pieces of clothing instead of saying something along the lines of, The Blackrose Bounty Hunter Outfit is comprised of a long oxblood-colored coat etc. It may seem like nothing but Rockstar pick they're words quite carefully. Also, this image shows an Online character wearing what could be described as "a fur-lined saddle-brown leather waistcoat with pinstripe blacks pants" but the whole outfit doesn't match the full description, he's not wearing the "two-tone gloves" and is wearing a hat that's not in the description given. "The Copperhead Enforcer Outfit features a fur-lined saddle-brown leather waistcoat, two-tone gloves, and pinstripe black pants tucked into black leather boots."
  18. These details of the pre order bonuses and Special Editions gave us a fair bit of information. As you stated a lot of the details hint at there being light RPG elements introduced in RDR2 especially if you look at how they describe the bonuses that improve Arthur's stats along with them confirming they'll be items to replenish health so I wouldn't be surprised if they used a health system similar GTA V but I wouldn't rule out them sticking to the health system they had in RDR as that game had items and consumables for replenishing health even though your health regenerated over time. I wish we'd got the images they included in screenshot form so we could see them better although they're nothing too special and don't show us much. - The bustling port of Saint Denis is far larger than any settlement we saw in RDR - They seem to be carrying a wound up firing line and a detonator similar to those seen within certain missions in RDR - Decomposing carcass - 3D facial hair on what I'm assuming to be Online characters From Rockstar's description we can assume atleast a few of the bottom images on the Ultimate Edition are from Red Dead Online so that's pretty cool, hopefully we'll get some more information soon.
  19. As I stated earlier I hope this leak is legit as I believe the gameplay features described would work really well in Red Dead Online. I wasn't making a point that other online games don't work like this because I thought Rockstar wouldn't take Red Dead Online in this direction, I was pointing it out because although I take all supposed leaks with a pinch of salt I don't share JACK's view that someone just made all this up after looking at some other games.
  20. The way the radar/map is supposedly gonna work would definitely be a departure from how it works in Rockstar's other online games and I've personally never seen an online freeroam game where only players in your vicinity show up on your map, I've also not seen any game use an online bounty system that is anything like the one described in this supposed leak.
  21. I heard about this leak, obviously you've gotta take all of this with a pinch of salt but I personally hope this turns out to be legit. I like the way bounties are apparently gonna work and how you can only see the people on the map when they're near you, if this is all made up BS whoever thought it up has quite the imagination.
  22. I find a fair amount of players under the age of 18 to be whiny and unbearable but that's only when I can hear them and that can always be fixed by muting them or leaving game chat but If a worst case scenario for you is people under the age of 25/35 playing Red Dead Online I'm afraid your gonna be disappointed.
  23. That is a picture of "War" one of the Four Horses Of The Apocalypse. This is the War Horse from Red Dead Redemption, it came as a pre order bonus.
  24. WORST CASE SCENARIO - Rockstar make gunplay pointless by giving players an endless amount of explosives like GTA Online and include Passive Mode or some other God Mode BS BEST CASE SCENARIO - Red Dead Online is a savage utopia with no places to hide, where you can kill and rob other players for personal gain, roam across the map with your pals, hunt wild animals and customize your character
  25. I can understand why a lot of people like Passive Mode in GTA Online, some people just wanna wander around and do their own thing so I can empathise with those people but in my experience most players don't use Passive Mode for that purpose therefore bringing back Red Dead Redemption's Friendly Freeroams where players can't attack each other would work much better. I can't stand Passive Mode but I think I'd hate it even more if it were in Red Dead Online, when people wanna get close to you or kill you in GTA Online they don't necessarily need to use Passive Mode as there is not many flat open spaces, most players have an armoured car or super car and there are a ton of military vehicles for land, sea and air but in Red Dead Online I feel it's gonna be a different story, players will most likely travel towards each other on foot or on a horse that is far more susceptible to bullets than a fighter jet so if Passive Mode is available players will no doubt use it far more than they did in GTA Online.
