  1. It would be really cool to see some characters from Red Dead Revolver but I doubt that'll happen so I'm hoping to see Seth Briars from Red Dead Redemption before he lost his family, mind and hair. It would also be nice to see Uncle and Drew Macfarlane in there prime but like @MarstonScot I'd want to see Landon Ricketts again, unfortunately the voice actor for Ricketts Ross Hagen died in 2011 so it might not happen which is a shame because he was without a doubt my favourite character in Red Dead Redemption.
  2. It was put into the game so that players who want to drive around and shop without the danger of being shot can do so but it's abused so much. I don't know why they felt the need to replace Friendly Sessions with Passive Mode, there's often some guy in Passive following me around waiting to switch it off and shoot me and I always find a Hydra, Savage or Rhino Tank that will turn on Passive as soon as there about to be killed.
  3. As long as they don't make explosives overpowered or include any form of Passive Mode I think I'll greatly enjoy RDR Online.
  4. I think everyone saw the delay coming, Rockstar are known for delaying their games but what makes you think there will be more than one protagonist?
  5. I don't think the number of protagonists we'll be playing as is predetermined by the number of people seen in various screenshots, most of the screenshots show the same individual who looks very similar to the man seen in the centre of the artwork. I'm not expecting to see multiple protagonists in RDR2, many people didn't like the way it was implemented in GTA V as it left little room for character development.
  6. @Nima021King It would be great to see a Lawmen VS Outlaw game mode in RDR2. I'd also love to see Wild West reimagining of GTA IV's Cops 'n Crooks game mode, it was a huge shame it didn't appear in GTA V as it was definitely stand out mode in GTA IV.
  7. Like @FLIP said the online community in RDR were older so hopefully there won't be as many kids in RDR2 but to be honest I don't think the age of the GTA Online community was the main problem, I came across people of all ages that were equally pathetic and annoying. There was a large cancerous community on GTA Online dedicated to protecting their KD ratio by using Passive Mode, Bull Shark Testosterone, Fighter Jets and killing themselves and sadly most of them were grown men so I think Rockstar will need to work on making less easy to abuse features in RDR2.
  8. It depends, I am almost certain that the Story Mode combined with what I imagine to be a vast open world will keep me engaged and playing the game for a long time. If the online is anything like Red Dead Redemption's Multiplayer I'll probably sink a lot of hours into it but if it's anything like GTA Online I'll probably steer clear and stick to Story Mode.
  9. I come across some real cry babies on the web. Even in GTA Online I'll steal some CEO's Vehicle Cargo and more often than not I'll then receive a message where they call me every name under the sun and proclaim that I am the problem with the GTA Community, I then have to explain to them that if they get this irate when someone steals their car they shouldn't be playing Grand Theft Auto. It's the title of the bloody game for crying out loud.
  10. It is hard to think of a game I'd want Red Dead Online modelled off. I loved the multiplayer in Red Dead Redemption and I felt it was near perfect so I'd want them to build of that, as long as Rockstar don't incorporate gameplay mechanics and features from GTA such as Passive Mode, Kill Yourself and the inability to crouch or switch shoulders I'll be happy.
  11. Look closely @Benjo, they are not the same. Although I don't know what kind of revolver he is holding in his left hand his right hand he seems to be holding a Colt Peacemaker.
  12. Thanks dude, I greatly enjoyed reading your analysis.
  13. Although it is unfortunate that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed till Spring 2018 it's not like we didn't see this as a possibility, part of the reason Rockstar are so successful is because they polish their games to perfection and sometimes delays are inevitable I just wish Rockstar wouldn't get peoples hopes up when they know how likely it is that their games are gonna be delayed. On the bright side, we got some superb screenshots to gawk at so I'm interested to see what you guys think of them and if there's anything in these screenshots that stand out to you. The first thing I noticed when looking at this screenshot is how obscured by the darkness these characters are which is something that wasn't present in Red Dead Redemption as even at night you could always make out the faces of anyone you came across so I'm interested to see whether light and dark will affect gameplay in Red Dead Redemption 2. The man centre left crops up a few times in these screenshots and shares similarities with the man that appears in both the trailer and the centre of the teaser artwork, the two men on the right also share similarities with people seen in the trailer and teaser artwork. I think it's safe to assume that the man centre left is gonna be a playable character due to how prominent he has been as well as how obscuring his face seems to be a constant trend in these screenshots. This screenshot appears to show the same man that appeared centre left in the above screenshot, the coat has changed but the distinctive hat with the rope around it has remained. I love how steam from the train affects visibility in this screenshot and as previously seen in the trailer and artwork dual wielding looks to be an option for the player but what caught my eye in this screenshot is that the two revolvers he's holding are not the same so maybe we'll be able to mix and match what weapons we wish to use, I'm personally hoping I'll be able to dual wield a sawed-off shotgun and a revolver. This beautiful screenshot of a dense forest is my favourite and appears to show the same man from the first and second screenshots wearing what looks to be the same hat with the same coat as the first screenshot. We get a good view of Red Dead Redemption 2's vast open world in this screenshot, I can't with any certainty link any of these men to anyone in the trailer or other screenshots but it does seem apparent that they are protecting the contents of this armoured stagecoach (which looks very similar to the armoured stagecoach that Colonel Allende and Bill Williamson used in Red Dead Redemption) so I'm assuming that this may be a random event where you can choose to commit stagecoach robbery. The stagecoach does have writing on the side of it but I am unable to make out what it says. This screenshot shows the same train seen in the trailer crossing over a stream, in the background we can see birds in the sky, mountains and a building that is mostly obscured by trees. There is writing on the side of the train carriages but I can't make out what it says but in my opinion after taking a closer look at the carriages this does not look like a passenger train. The man from the first, second and third screenshot appears here again riding the same horse seen in the third screenshot through the centre of an unknown town, out of the 8 people seen here he is the only one that I believe we have seen before. If we look down the street we can see a Saloon, a building with rooms for rent and a Doctors advertising Tonics, Remedies and Powders. Looking at the recurring man he has a small satchel on his left side, a Spencer Rifle on his back, what looks like a Colt Peacemaker and a bone handle knife on his right side. Other small details in this screenshot are the imprints made in the mud by people and horses, the shadow affects on the left side of the screenshot as well as the very detailed engraving on the Spencer Rifle. In the last and probably most detailed screenshot we see two Schofield Revolvers with very ornate engravings being dual wielded in a brick wall building possibly a bank, in the background there are shelving units holding boxes and crates as well as a smoke cloud possibly created by the revolvers. On the shooter's right hand we can see two rings, a circular lion ring on their pinky and a ring with what appears to be the letter "D" on his middle finger. Hopefully we get more info on Red Dead Redemption 2 soon but in the meantime I'd greatly enjoy reading your predictions and what you guys have noticed in these screenshots so please comment. - Archbell
  14. I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar repeated what they did with Grand Theft Auto V and release the Online portion of Red Dead Redemption 2 after the games initial release but I don't think they'll wait until 2018.
  15. Welcome to the forum dude, this is my first time on a forum as well but everyone here is friendly and I think they're all pretty excited for Red Dead Redemption 2. I look forward to seeing your ideas and opinions on RDR2.
  16. There was a large amount of inaccessible buildings in Red Dead Redemption but in my opinion there was more than enough accessible buildings as well especially if you take into account how many buildings were in the game altogether and look at the ratio of inaccessible to accessible buildings. Blackwater and Armadillo were some of the few places where there were more inaccessible buildings than accessible ones due to them being two of the larger towns in the game and I have no doubt Rockstar will aim to have more accessible buildings in Red Dead Redemption 2 I just hope buildings that are accessible in Singleplayer are not made inaccessible in Online without good reason, I also believe having an interior with no function is not pointless as it adds not only another layer of detail to the game but another layer of combat to multiplayer. I saw the closing off of Grand Theft Auto V's Mission interiors in GTA Online a waste but not a huge draw back due to the nature of the Online combat, I just hope they do not repeat this trend in Red Dead Redemption 2 and if they do choose to do something more with interior spaces in addition to making them accessible that would be even better.
  17. Having a substantial amount of interior spaces in Red Dead Redemption 2 would definitely make the world more immersive and it would not be difficult for Rockstar to do, they had no problem putting a multitude of detailed and dynamic interiors into Red Dead Redemption. Grand Theft Auto V had a good amount of detailed interiors but most were not included in Grand Theft Auto Online which is a slight shame but due to the nature of the combat it didn't really bother me, I stay clear of interiors other than Apartments and Offices in GTA Online anyway as don't think interiors work in GTA Online due to how easily accessible RPGs are but in a Western setting interiors would work extremely well assuming explosive spamming is not made an option in combat.
  18. Not much could sway me from buying this game. If the gameplay and movement is anything like Grand Theft Auto V though I might have to think about not buying it, I wanna be able to crouch and change shoulders. The only other thing that would put me off this game would be if Red Dead Online included Passive Mode and/or a large amount of explosive weapons, I want the game's Singleplayer and Online component to be based upon Red Dead Redemption not Grand Theft Auto V.
  19. Welcome to the Forum dude, I'd highly recommend playing through Undead Nightmare if you haven't already and I'm sure Red Dead Redemption 2 will come to PC but it'll probably be later down the line in 2018 as Rockstar are likely to repeat what they did with GTA V and get people to double dip.
  20. I love the Grand Theft Auto Series and I enjoyed GTA V a great deal but I felt in some areas it was a huge step backwards and overall I preferred Red Dead Redemption's epic tale of John Marston over the GTA V Story, I played GTA V's Story through including Side Missions twice but in my opinion due to there being three playable protagonists non of them felt as 3-Dimensional or fleshed out as John Marston was in Red Dead Redemption. I think GTA Online was a great success as well as a huge step for Rockstar and it has some undeniable advances over RDR's Multiplayer but I personally enjoyed RDR's Multiplayer a whole lot more than GTA Online for a countless number of reasons, too many to list here. I doubt that RDR 2 will beat GTA V in sales but if it's anywhere near as good as RDR it will be a better game in my eyes.
  21. I think the earliest we're gonna get any info is May, maybe on the 7th anniversary of Red Dead Redemption's release.
  22. I don't know what route Rockstar are gonna take with clothing and customization in Red Dead Online. I'm hoping they go with something similar to GTA Online's Character Customization but they will need to tinker with the format and make it something fresh and different, maybe they could give the player a variety of different holsters to choose from. It's also a Western game after all so it would also be nice to see weathering affects on clothing because although having only set characters to choose from in Red Dead Redemption's Multiplayer wasn't the best it meant all the characters we could play as were extremely detailed with dirt, dust, stains, ripped clothing etc. I don't know if anyone here has seen or played TC's Ghost Recon: Wildlands but the game has a system whereby dirt and dust will accumulate on your clothing, something like this would work so well in Red Dead Redemption 2.
  23. Exactly, I have no doubt stagecoach travel will return in Singleplayer with the option to sleep through the journey but Red Dead Online would be better off if Fast Travel was left out of it.
  24. Nothing beats a free game, hope luck is on my side.
  25. Red Dead Redemption was my favourite game of the PS3/Xbox 360 Generation and it's extremely hard to find fault in the game, I wasn't a big fan of the limited customization options we had in Single Player and Multiplayer so it would be nice if Rockstar rectified that in Red Dead Redemption 2. I also think Red Dead Online would benefit from not having a Fast Travel Transport system because although it helped you get around quicker in Red Dead Redemption's Multiplayer it made the map feel smaller and less vast when you could cross it in a few seconds.
