Hmm, might be thinking of it letting me pick which die I get rid of in Liar's Dice. Been 6 years since I've played the last one, according to R* social club. Little fuzzy on a lot of things from it.

He mentioned dual-shock so... PS4. What Truth said, just substitute RB and RT for R1 and R2, respectively. Also, don't remember what unlocks when, but there were Dead Eye abilities you needed to unlock before you could use them. The only one I remember for certain is being able to keep shooting in Dead Eye without painting targets. There was one unlock that had to do with painting targets, but I don't remember exactly what it was. I think it was doing certain missions that unlocked the different abilities for it, although you definitely want your Dead Eye leveled if you use it a lot. I try to avoid it since it won't be available online, working on getting those quick head shots without it

Damn, that sucks. One of my favorite things with Marvel movies is waiting to see how he was gonna make me laugh for his cameo. We'll probably still get a couple cameos in the next couple films (i'm sure he's filmed some already), but no more after that, and it's disheartening. He will most definitely be missed.

Yea, I've read the woodpeckers are especially hard to find. I had a hard time with the first one cuz I guess my rabbit would go bad while I was getting the squirrel, and would get to the post office and it wouldn't let me send anything. Finally got the squirrel first and went after the rabbit near Valentine and completed it. Interesting that the squirrel didn't go bad at all (or just takes a much longer time to spoil) but the rabbit spoiled rather quick.

Ya, sorry, should have clarified that, from the draw pile. Pretty sure Red Dead Redemption 1 let you choose which one you drew, now I tend to end up drawing the whole pile just to get to the one I would've drawn myself in the first place.

I tried the bait once, but didn't wait long to see if it worked. I may try it again sometime in the future, but usually take a more aggressive approach to hunting. I usually just ride to the area the animal is in and ride around until I either spot their trail, or spook the animal itself, then follow the trail it creates (following the trail on foot so I can get close, though sometimes I just shoot from horseback and hope I get a clean kill). Definitely scan the animals the first time you come across them. After you do scan them, every time you come across their trail, the trail info will tell you what animal it is, and in the form of 3 dots next to the name that are filled based on quality (1 dot filled is poor quality, 2 dots good quality and 3 dots perfect) you find out if it's good enough quality animal to get a perfect pelt.

The 3 games of dominoes is the only one I'm having trouble with. I haven't completed a lot of them yet, so I may just have not found others I'm struggling with. I tried the dominoes one a couple times, and kept getting screwed cuz the game doesn't let you pick which tile you want to pick up. Pretty sure RDR1 let you pick em. But I kept getting a lot of points in the first round (usually rounds end with less than 10 points in the peoples hands, so 30 points was a big win), then the next round someone gets more than the 60 points they need. RNG kept screwing me over so taking a break from that one. The rest I've come across are easy, just time consuming. The 3 hits in poker wasn't too bad since it's only 2 cent bets I was doing, just had to wait for those hands where you can hit 3 times and hope for the best. Of course, knowing how to play blackjack helps a lot, knowing when you can hit 3 times, and when to just play that hand to win. I'd imagine the 3 poker games in a row would be a lot easier than the dominoes, but that's because I actually know what I'm doing with poker, dominoes I'm still figuring out strategies and whatnot. I did have a little trouble with the horseman challenge to drag a person with your lasso 3300 feet, but then I tried going slowly (kept doing it full speed to finish quick, but he kept dying) and got it done no problem. The biggest problem with the Gambler ones is it's all based on luck/RNG (other than the 5 finger fillet ones, which do require a bit of skill).

Ya, got burnt out of CoD after BO2 as well. Sticking to games that at least have some RPG elements to them myself. I'm hoping online has some of the missions from the original RDR revamped. One of my favorites was the one where you enter a mine, kill all the guards, bring dynamite to the cart and escort it outside. Also hoping the bug where a lot of people have a worn weapon stuck in their inventory doesn't get carried over to online. I'm sure gang hideouts will still be there as they were in the first. Hopefully there will also be something done about lost horses. I'd imagine a lot of people will be killing others horses and it would suck to have to constantly buy a new one. Maybe a penalty system similar to destroying another players car in GTA:O. An ambush game mode might also be fun, where one team has to protect a convoy while the other team has to setup an ambush and take the convoy, with the win criteria being either the convoy reaches the end (or ambush team gets wiped out), or the convoy guards get taken out (the players on the team, or even NPC's that need to be protected). This may work best with a train rather than coaches, since killing the horses would stop the convoy from reaching the end, turning the mode essentially into last team standing.

Online Beta will launch at the "end of the month"
KRooKeD KRoW replied to Glopez's topic in Red Dead Online
Yeah, there's a lot they CAN do to add to the story, but they probably won't do so with Story Mode. As they did with GTA:O, I'm sure they'll focus on the online portion and the story will remain as it is, or any additions to the story will be in online only missions. -
After a couple weeks, you might have this done already, but others may not soo... I found Blackcurrant mostly north of Annesburg (far northeast corner of the map). It tends to actually grow a bit away from the streams, on the other side of the trees that line the banks. Not too easy to pick out from other herbs so I recommend going after the Golden Currant if you don't need a specific currant. (turns out this was all golden currant) Golden Currant is in other areas as stated by the guide, but the best place I found it is in the Great Plains/Tall Trees area west of Blackwater. It grows about 20 feet away from small groups of trees, mostly out in the open. It's really easy to spot without Eagle Eye. It's a tall plant (maybe about 3 feet tall) that splits into a Y shape about 2 feet off the ground, and the leaves begin to grow at said split. The leaves are pretty green and since everything around is yellowish, it really stands out. Once you know exactly what it looks like, you can spot it from a long way away without even using Eagle Eye to highlight it. Because I didn't need Eagle Eye (which greatly reduces the distance you can cover in a set amount of time since it slows you down a lot while you're in it and looking around), I was able to get about 40 currant in about 10 minutes. Edit: After posting this, started finding Golden Currant all over the place (still fastest to farm it on the Great Plains, I think), and for the life of me cannot find where I saw the Blackcurrant. Lol, second Edit: Turns out I never found blackcurrant before, it was all golden currant. The blackcurrant I found for the first time later on... growing in Gaptooth Ridge and Cholla Springs areas of west/northwest New Austin. The blackcurrant looks a lot like the golden currant, similar growing patterns as well, a little bit away from the cacti.

Online Beta will launch at the "end of the month"
KRooKeD KRoW replied to Glopez's topic in Red Dead Online
IKR, campaign (along with the side missions) WAS pretty long, but I agree, I would have liked it to be longer. There's still tons to do outside of the story missions, and I'd imagine one of the reasons they want to give people a chance to do finish the story first is that there will be missions Online that could spoil the story if you hadn't finished it. Like how GTA:O had missions from some of the story characters. Don't remember any of the specifics, but they probably made more sense happening after the story, with possible spoilers if you hadn't finished it yet. I'm hoping RD:O comes out just before Thanksgiving so that I can spend my time off with it. The suspense of not knowing exactly when is making me antsy. -
Worn versions can only be cleaned up to like 60%. I read a tooltip or something somewhere that said they are just too far gone to ever get back to 100%. Tried cleaning it myself, and at the gunsmith. Gunsmith charges $0.00 to "clean " it, but then it just stays with that option to clean it for no charge, doesn't go past that and buying a new one brings up the same options. Shows a sort of outline of some of the parts when it's on the counter.

Pretty sure he's bugged, I have the same problem. Picked up a worn bolt action rifle somewhere and it's the only bolt action in my inventory. Can't buy a new one, having it knocked out of my hands during a fight just puts it back in the saddle. Nothing I've tried get's rid of it or replaces it with a regular version, and I tried like 50 things I've seen people say fixed it for them (even spent like $1.5k trying some of the "fixes" that require you to buy it again). Pretty sure I did it the same as TP, ran into a gun fight with just my revolvers, picked it up for the range and now I'm stuck with it. Just gotta wait for Rockstar to fix it, and hope it's doesn't happen online. I'm fine with it in story mode since I use the springfield/repeater shotgun combo, although it'd be nice to not have that worn version. Online is where I'd be most peeved about not having that option.

I completed the story (powered through it and only missed giving somebody at camp a harmonica) and the only thing that you lose . Everything else I still have upon completing (except my bolt action rifle which got replaced with a worn version that I just can't get rid of cuz of some bug). I must've gotten the materials for that satchel without realizing it, cuz I had it availalble after I finished the story. OR a bug happened where it was available to me without the need for the mats. Definitely worth the time to get it though. Massive increase in capacity.

Didn't see a thread for it so I thought I'd start one. This is to share some of our favorite screenshots, memorable moments, body stacking skills (saw some good ones on other threads), etc. I felt this one I'm sharing would have been great on the games back cover (I buy digital, so never see them anymore), or as a sig for a forum (which I'm trying to make for myself, but it's been over a decade since I've used photoshop, so it's slow going while I remember things about it). I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of people that reached this chapter in the game have this screenshot. The SPOILERS tag was just in case someones screen shows something that happens during the story.

Had originally imagined creating a look like Snidely Whiplash, but this was as close as I could get (the outfit that looks more proper requires positive honor, and I've been a bad boy). The mustache eventually grew out to the sides much more, but got a bit unruly. Just finished the story yesterday, and never really got into the in-game photos, so all the screenshots I have are Xbox screens while I was playing... not framed properly around the character. Can't see the multi tone half chaps, same colors as the rest of my outfit. Hadn't been customizing my guns yet, so they look like crap. Now that I've finished, my pistols are gold plated with black inlay, and the rifles are black with gold inlay and yellow/black wood (forget the name of the type) with the darkest leather I could get. Currently working on several other looks

Not sure which missions you mean exactly, but I had a few that I would set as a waypoint, but by the time I got there, it was gone. After I died near one, it changed from day to night and the mission was back. It would seem some of them can only be picked up during a certain time of day. I'm still missing a couple in chapter 6 that I never even saw. There are about half a dozen time sensitive missions, where you have to complete them during a certain chapter, but if you keep checking the camp on your map, you should have no trouble spotting them. It'll be one of like 3 symbols that you don't normally see on the map, and they're all in like chapters 2-4.

Sooo, after playing for some time with my thoroughbred which I named Steely Dan (as I stated above), the horses have been bugging the hell out of me with how stupid they can be. Haven't gotten one yet, but when I get a Missouri Fox Trotter (one of the high end horses with better speed, stamina, etc. according to the Strategy guide), I'm hoping it let's me name it "dipsh*t", although the game probably won't let me use that, so I may end up just going through synonyms for that until I find one it let's me use.

While using Eagle Eye, the trail you see for the animal has a bit of an animation to it. It has a pulsing kind of animation (not exactly sure how to describe it) that moves in a specific direction on the trail. Whichever direction the pulses are moving is which direction the animal went. That should help when the tracks overlap. I also just started using the deadeye finally for hunting, tho not very efficiently. usually use it just to slow down time to get a headshot, tho it seems that is not always the best place to get a clean kill for a perfect pelt, so the critical points perk is probably a huge help. Shot 3 arrows into a gator's head and he just ran off like it was nothing.

It's not gonna reel in if it's fighting you. As soon as you hook it, it fights you, so you don't reel just yet, you move left stick left/ right to fight back and tire it out. Once it tires out and the controller stops vibrating (assuming you haven't turned off vibrate), then you start reeling in. Usually, it starts fighting again at least once before you get it in, so you have to stop reeling and tire it out again. Repeat until you have your fish.

Any Benefit in Contributing to Camp Funds
KRooKeD KRoW replied to rick249kdr's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
I donated one of the gold bars i got just so I could get the leatherworking kit, and it gave me an achievement for donating $250. Not sure what happened with yours, but my upgrades followed me when I moved. Haven't used it yet, but it seems the fast travel seems the most worth it out of all the upgrades. theres others to upgrade the supply caches of ammo, food and medicine. Those upgrades add other items to them, and I think they auto-restock each upgrade.... I made the mistake of just getting all the upgrades for the supplies at once, and noticed afterwards they were restocked. One tips and tricks page I was reading said not to bother with the upgrades since you can do everything somewhere else in the game that has a train/carriage nearby for fast travel, but I feel I spend enough time at the camp that I'd rather do things there. Also, I figured what else am I gonna spend my end game money on, so might as well. Upgrading Dutch's Lodgings also makes it so that the NPC's donate more to the camp. Buying upgrades seems to use the camp fund first, then uses your own to pay the difference, so having more from the NPC's is definitely better if you plan on doing the upgrades or restocking the supplies caches manually a lot. -
From the first mission where you go to the stable, I have been using the Thoroughbred that came with special/ultimate edition (not sure which gave the horse as i have the ultimate edition). Since it has a sort of mottled steel look, and I gave it a silver mohawk mane and long silver tail, first thing that popped to my mind was "Steely Dan", so that's what I named it.

I feel zombies has been a little overdone in the past decade or so. The vampires and werwolves thing sounds kinda cool, kinda like Underworld in the Wild West. Could be a lot of fun if done properly. Aliens seems more like what Rockstar would do, considering some of the stuff they put into GTA V and online.

Love that you can find Star Wars fans anywhere you go. My favorite character is Darth Vader and favorite movie is Empire Strikes Back. Also like Rogue One, love watching the end. Watching Yoda show Luke he was full of sh*t by lifting the X-Wing in Empire originally got me interested (think it was the first scene I ever saw, got fascinated by the idea of the Force). There were things I liked, others that I didn't about Last Jedi. Didn't like what they did with Luke and Leia. Would love to see more original characters make appearances, maybe make a stand alone where the New Republic isn't established yet and the Alliance is hunting down Imperial remnants while setting up the new government. Would probably need to use actor's in prosthetic makeup like they did for Tarkin at the end of Revenge of the Sith for some of the original characters for that movie idea. Really excited to see what they do with the Boba Fett and young (possibly padawan, but I hear it's early Jedi days) Yoda movies I've heard are planned.

I was creating a new XBL tag when I got my first 360, and one of the songs I was listening to at the time was "Crooked Crow" by Andre Nickatina. I liked the way it sounded, but not how it looked, so I changed the Cs to Ks, which I liked, and have used that name in everything game related since then. I also like to capitalize all consonants, keep vowels lowercase because I think it makes the name itself look a bit crooked.
