Dynamite does the trick, I've been getting a lot from looting bodies. Some wagons have explosives on them, not sure what kind you were riding on. There could be people with no job, no life that may have unlocked the explosive bullets already, but that's a pretty hard grind to be there already from Tuesday even. Think its 60 something for the unlock

So it looks like the (at least some) missions may be gated behind ranks, just hit 18 and a new story mission popped up on my map. Unless Rockstar just added them recently for everyone, and i just never noticed. Edit: After getting to it, ended up being one I've done, at least through the quick menu, but for some reason, it was a new yellow area on my map. Which still could mean that nobody has ranked up enough to unlock other ones.

Doing one of the missions just now, heard a remix of one of the original RDR songs, and it was nowhere near as good.

I had everything except shops, fast travel, post office disappear on Wednesday, right before they opened the servers to the Day One players. They didnt come back in the next hour before I went to work, but were back when I got home and started the game back up. I wouldn't be surprised if that's when they first disappeared for everyone, not that day, but right before the servers opened to more players on any given day. I'm sure it'll stabilize soon enough. I'm actually surprised at how well Online is running now. Sure there are still some problems, but nothing near as bad as when GTA:O came out.

IIRC, GTA:O had it's own kind of honor system. I think it worked like if you were going around just killing players in free roam, it would transfer you and keep matching you with servers that have nothing but players doing the same. If they add this, it could help, but it won't be good enough. Fixing the always on blips along with that would definitely make things a lot easier for those of us that just want to be left alone.

Hmm, didn't notice anything about my weight the past couple days, which is strange since it has you choose a body type when creating your character. Doesn't make sense to have you choose a body type and then have your weight change in-game. Maybe I just haven't been paying close enough attention to pop-up messages (I was always underweight in story mode, only ate just enough to replenish my cores), but it could be a bug, carrying that over from story mode for whatever reason. I'd imagine if they left that in, they could've left in your hair and beard growing.

Mexican food (I usually stay full from it... no MSG =P) Galactic Empire or First Order? (Yep, I'm a huge Star Wars fan, Star Trek too.... pretty much any Sci-Fi that has Star in the name)

Gold: Does it stay within your Social Club profile?
KRooKeD KRoW replied to Moosh89's topic in Red Dead Online
That could have been from your map, if you found the treasure for it (just guessing it's a treasure map where you have to find the treasure in freeroam). I found one of those treasures and I think it gave me 100 (or close to it) gold nuggets. I think some of the online "challenges" or whatever they're called (e.g. get 10, 50, 100, etc kills with a certain weapon) might give nuggets too, but I'm not entirely certain, usually have those pop up when I'm too busy shooting and trying to stay alive, so it's likely they just give XP. -
The Grizzlies would looks the same, but it would be kinda nice seeing a thin layer of snow blanketing the Heartlands, some Christmas trees set up in the towns, maybe a mission that only appears during that holiday to get you an outfit that's only from that mission. Would encourage people to play year round, sort of like how WoW has the holiday specific missions and gear. Maybe for Halloween, you have to Trick-or-treat the different shops, and they give you something like a box of ammo, a can of baked beans, horse medicine, etc., depending on which store it was. For Easter, maybe hunting rabbits for the one special rabbit that only appears during the one week event, and when you find him, he lays a golden egg, maybe have it worth like 50 gold nuggets. (Yes, I know rabbits don't lay eggs, but the Easter bunny is a magical creature, so he poops em out golden) So many possibilities with holidays, but Rockstar probably won't do much other than decorating the world for the holidays. Posted this, then started picturing Mardi Gras in the streets of Saint Denis. I wouldn't be surprised if Rockstar did that one. Oktoberfest would be pretty cool too, but I'm not sure how that one would go in RDO.

That's usually how I see it. For example, when I used to play WoW, I'd go leveling an alt, and a high level player (usually a large group of them) would come by, one shot me, and just camp my body. They literally get nothing for it, yet they do it cuz it makes them feel superior. Then they go against a player their level (or me if I had my main toon logged off nearby) and get ROFLStomped so bad, they go back to trolling the lowbies.

I myself don't play games like this with free aim, but I agree, there should be servers for people that do. There's enough people that prefer it to need them. Myself, in games like this, I turn auto-aim and lock-on all the way up, just cuz you are at a huge disadvantage without it. Other games, mostly FPS, I hate auto aim and aim assist, cuz I'll be trying to shoot at a person under my reticle, and the aim assist pulls my shot away and I miss cuz someone ran past my target, gets really annoying. I don't think that's available right now, being the beta, it seems they haven't released all the content they have lined up, but should be coming soon. I believe the original RDR's online mode had the free-aim servers, but been too long since I've played it. I think while it's beta, they may be trying to lump everyone in together to fully stress test the servers and whatnot. Once they open up free-aim and private servers, I imagine there would be less people in each free-roam public server.

Where to find free gear in RDR2 Online
KRooKeD KRoW replied to ZathrasParadox's topic in Red Dead Online
Haha, ya, was picturing a donkey after I made that last post. Haven't ridden one yet, but I've seen them in story mode. I'm sure I'll have one in my stables eventually, just cuz of how funny it would look. Guess I should start thinking of a good name now. Named my starter horse Nugget, and my all black Thoroughbred "Train Wreck".... and he truly owns up to that name. -

Agreed, I feel the Missouri Fox Trotter and Turkoman are the two best horses in the game. Used primarily the Turkoman in story and absolutely loved it. Fast AND brawny. Guess I'll have to check again later for my Arabian, and like I said, open a ticket if it's still not there. And ya, the starter horse was too small. I felt like I was one of those really tall people riding in a mini cooper -
Not sure if it finds a new session but it seems like this should... If you're having trouble with one session, bring up the pause menu, and either exit game in the story section, or click free roam in the online section. I haven't had to try it yet, but it seems like that should do the trick and find a new session. For some reason none of my RL friends have started playing online yet, even tho they all have the Ultimate Edition, so I've been on my own the past few days. Like I've said, not really having problems with trolls. The few hours (maybe 4-5 total) that I've spent in free roam, I stay on the move, try not to stay in any one place too long (other than camp with my white flag up, or while phased out browsing a vendor's wares), and I check my map every few minutes or so to make sure nobody is coming towards me. Also, while riding, I'll avoid the roads (railroads as well) as much as possible. If I make a waypoint, I head straight for it, even through thick woods, but I've gotten pretty good at going through trees full speed (mostly attributed to changing how I control the horse, it's either centered around your camera or which way the horse is facing, the former being default and the latter being what I use) Have only come across maybe a dozen people during those few hours (even with the map crawling with blips), and most of them just kept riding after they check me out, even when they outnumbered me. I've probably just been lucky with who I come across, but for the most part, after I finished the last story mission available right now, I've been using the quick menu for matchmaking. You get into a match almost instantly, and you can get your ammo there. I think the stranger missions are intended to have people ambush you while you try to do them (I've only done 3 and again, had no problems with other players), just like when getting supplies and selling your stock from your factories or w/e in GTA:O. Those will probably remain in freeroam public servers only.

Where to find free gear in RDR2 Online
KRooKeD KRoW replied to ZathrasParadox's topic in Red Dead Online
I was looking for that free Arabian, people have mentioned it, but it wasnt available to me. I had pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, so it could be because it gave me a free thoroughbred instead, not sure. Although I had to buy another stall to keep from selling the free horse from the intro. The other freebies I got were also from Ultimate Edition/peeorder, varmint rifle, pump action shotgun and volcanic pistol, plus an outfit I dont remember the name of. I noticed that a few of the freebies are in the Special category, outfits certainly and arabian if you have it, not sure what else. My thoroughbred was under race horses and the weapons were normal, just said they cost 0.00 Edit: Just saw a video showing where I get my Arabian, looks like I came across another bug. The Red Chestnut was not an option for me, just had the first two options for the Arabian that needed rank 70 and 66 to unlock it. Guess I have something else to report to R* when I get home. -
As Poggy said, vibrations get stronger and more frequent when your going in the right direction and are getting closer. It'll get fainter when heading the wrong way and farther away. The treasure I found was a small chest between some rocks, sorta out in the open, so easy to spot when you get close. Dont think that Eagle Eye is absolutely necessary to get the vibrations tho it probably helps to see the chest itself. It was in a large area it had me searching and only felt the vibrations in a small corner of it ( like 1/8 of the total area)

I haven't really had trouble with trolls (other than a damn pronghorn that headbutted me right as I opened my catalog). Tho I've spent a lot of times on PVP servers in games watching my back, so have developed tricks for it. If you're just trying to do missions and not deal with people, the quick menu (left on the d-pad) can get you into things almost instantly. Saw someone mention skipping the pelts, just get small game, and you don't have to worry about losing anything. The economy is a bit off, only get 2-5 dollars per repeat story mission, and you spend almost as much getting back the ammo you used on the mission. Doing the story missions tho, and getting those small game parts and looting a few bodies during missions for valuables to sell, I've been getting enough money to get like 1 item a day (got a second stable $100 and my free Thouroughbred yesterday, grabbed my bolt action the day before, but had to save $260 or $360 [don't remember which] from 2 days for that).
-
If you hit left on the d pad, you access the quick menu, where you can redo the missions, but ya, there is a lack of mission content right now. Or maybe you have to get to a much higher level for them to open.

That's why I don't email support, I'll open a ticket and try to get a chat going with one of them. But you sometimes have to wait up to an hour for a response (usually get a response within a few minutes). Then they sit there with you while you try different things to figure it out, but usually end up saying they'll elevate it to another department and email you if anything. I had one of those codes pop up Tuesday for RDO, but it disappeared quick so I didn't get to see it, and haven't had any since. But I've had problems with other games and an error like it, and usually doing a hard reset of the xbox (holding the power button for about 10 sec until it shuts off, then turning it back on after a bit) works, sometimes had to do it a few times. I imagine you already tried this, tho. If you're trying to get on for the first time today, I'm wondering if it could be another bug that popped up from them opening it up to more people.

I did love the RDR1 soundtrack more than 2, though some of my all-time favorite soundtracks are from Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness, and from the original Perfect Dark (and Goldeneye that it was based off of had a pretty great one too).

Game of Thrones is always great, but there's a new series on SyFY starting this Sunday December 2 (I don't even remember what time it is for me at PST), also created by George R.R. Martin, called "Nightflyers". I'm a little fuzzy on the specifics, but it looks like a group of refugees possibly, traveling to a new home world, or scouting home worlds, or something like that. Also, if IMDB is right, there's a new episode every night after that with the exception of a couple days where it looks like it's taking a hiatus for said couple of days.

This is the one thing I really hate about the camps. At one point, I'll have a prime location in the Heartlands (Just a few seconds ride from Emerald Station, the next time I look for it, it's out in the middle of nowhere, really far from anything. Had hoped the camps would be like GTA:O apartments, always in the same place, and you just disappear from the map when you enter it (Though it was funny seeing that one guy ride into my camp, unable to shoot at me for a while, then ride out, and every shot he took after that went right through me). Guess we'll have to wait to unlock the homesteads or whatever they're gonna be called to have a stationary hideout. Although the costing money, I just look at it like a moving fee when you setup a new one, or an upkeep fee when it charges daily. GTA:O had you paying your mechanic, secretary, etc on an in-game daily basis. Guess Rockstar liked the idea of that. At least it's only a couple bucks, as opposed to a few thousand.

Staggered release probably also helped to keep down the flood of hate posts, tweets, etc. when it didn't launch smoothly. I imagine a lot of people did what I did, sent a ticket about what was happening on our end when Xbox servers weren't up, mostly to help them gather more info to try to fix it (not much, if anything from our end would have helped, though). Or just waited patiently for it to be fixed.

I usually have people vote my way (being bad), but I did have a couple times with a split vote, and I have no idea if it affected my honor.

Are you on PS4? I'm on xbox and have had no such problems, and have done maybe 40 story missions(mostly repeats of ones I've already done) and a few stranger missions. I've heard PS4 has been having some stability issues but I can't confirm. I've also only put in about 10-14 hours online and at least 4 hours have been just hunting or riding around
