I am considering adding some LED lights to my PC. I have a window on the side that allows me to see in it and the purpose I got this case was because I had planned on adding lights in it. The case came with 1 LED red fan but it hardly lights anything in there up. I want a decent glow from it. I just don't want to look like one of those show offs who only builds a PC like this to be a douche lol

I did this with one of my PCs and the draw/pull/attraction wore off within a few days. And if it's in your bedroom it might even keep you awake. A window without lights is fine for me and these days I don't even have a desktop PC, just my trusty Macbook.

Yeah if you have an office no bit deal. I have a PC in my room with lights but I turn it off at night so the lights don't but me. Nothing flashy just something to brighten up my otherwise plain bedroom lol

Just avoid things that look like this or anything worse than this:

That would actually be pretty useful for the next disco/rave we have planned B|

Agree that in general you shouldn't overdo it unless you can switch it off easily enough. I have a motherboard that glows and a graphics card that can flicker based on the GPU activity (and some other nifty settings) and while it's pretty cool during the day it can be a bit much at night when it's darker but at least it can be controlled via software. For showing off though (or taking somewhere and showing off your build/overclocking skills) I guess it does bring some extra attention your way.

Before I busted my gaming PC (when I was moving) I had some color changing LED fans in it. I can't remember the specific brand and model I got because I was using a few different brands at the time but these ones allowed me to keep one color or switch between them like my keyboard. That was plenty for me.

Thanks for all your feedback guys. After doing some reading I decided to just scrap the idea. I actually bought a new case that has a front open grid and I will use LED fans but that is it. The LED strips and things like that don't last long at all. Not worth it.
