Native Americans?

In the late 1800's a lot of gambling was being done by the Native Americans. I know there were some in RDR but what can we expect to see in RDR2? I was thinking that since the game would likely date back to around 1870ish and we will see more of their influences in the game. Specially when it comes to money and gambling. Maybe we can get a bit more "history" with them throughout the new story. I would be down for that.

Excuse my ignorance, but wasn't gambling in that time not just limited to Native Americans? I am sure pretty sure that the settlors/cowboys did a lot of gambling and they also had the most well-known games - poker etc. It would be cool if there was a lot more of a gambling component though - based on both Native American and European games. It would be cool to play other players and even take their money. Imagine that!

If they are going to be true to history then there will be some amount of gambling and likely some Native Americans in the main story line. I could actually see a rival gang of sorts taking place. I don't know all the history of it but I do know that there were still some hostile NA's in that time who HATED the white devils. lol

I was thinking the same thing. Like I know there had to still be some of the Indians around who couldn't stand white people so to have them actually be a part of the story would be great. Like a rival gang or something.

   Yeah, the lack of Indians in Redemption kind of disappointed me a bit so I hope to see them get a stronger role this time around.  It's kinda tough to paint them as the bad guys though. There was millions of them in North America when Columbus landed and a few hundred thousand by the late 1800s.   Playing as a white guy who kills even more of them would be controversial to say the least.

   Maybe if the 3 protagonists thing comes back one of them could be Indian. It'd be a good way to show the conflict from multiple viewpoints at least. Still, pretty heavy subject matter for what should be a fun Wild West outlaw game.

Yeah it feels like there was a lot that could have been put in the last one that would have really raised the bar as far as the natives go. There was some but there should have been more but I think the reason why is because they were mostly up north I think.

Having just a few major Indian gangs would be enough for me. Is this going to take place in the south again?

I really just want to get some intel on what they are going in terms of location to get a better idea of what we will see.
