Apparently, Christmas music is now being played in the saloons in RDO.

I was thinking that I wouldn't hear it on my games but it is everywhere... like a virus.

What if that is the point? Like the "holiday spirit" is just a code word for brainwashing us through Christmas songs. 

...I only had 2 hours of sleep.

Define Christmas music, jingle bells is an old song, and has nothing to do with Christmas.

I doubt you will hear silent night in a bar.

Yeah, I played a bit tonight but forgot to step into a bar to check. Just saw it on my Twitter feed and thought I'd mention it to folks.

"Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht"  is of course the original, though  Silent Night has been translated from the original Austrian/German into English, French and many other languages ... That much I knew already.

What I didn't know was that in 2011 the carol/song was deemed to be by UNESCO an 'Intangible Cultural Heritage' and the 3rd greatest single sold of all time is Bing Crosby's version

 

Though I believe in the UK this is as close as they get to Bing these days .... Bingo

Pretty cool IMO.  There's quite few of them and they all seem to be full length.  I got a chuckle out of it.

I thought I was tripping when I first heard one. I couldn't imagine the song the dude was playing was a Christmas song but sure enough, my gal verified it for me.

Christmas music in the saloons is all well and good, but you can't shoot the piano player. I've tried. Even dynamite doesn't stop the noise. I've tried.
