Evans vs Lancaster

I heard the Lancaster was good but was told to buy the Evans. So I did. I gotta be honest, I don't regret it one bit. The only time I seem to lose a PvP bout is if I'm versing multiple enemies using explosive rounds whilst rushing me with slippery bastard. lol.  (I'm only lvl 69 so no explosives for me).

What are your reasonings for one over the other? I keep hearing people say the Lancaster is more accurate. Maybe the Evans is harder to master, but when you do it's better? As I said, I'm good with the Evans. Im sitting on a nice chunk of cash so maybe ill buy the Lancaster anyway. I just wanted to hear yall's opinions for those of you own both (or not).

I never hear anything about the Litchfield, though if ya like it, drop a comment below why.

I have all the repeaters but favour the Lancaster. There doesn't seem to be much between them in stats, the Lancaster just edges the Evans on damage and accuracy which suits me. In PvP though I could imagine the better fire rate and ammo capacity of the Evans being more important.

I think R* have balanced all the weapons really well, so long as you are aware of the strengths and weaknesses of what you're running with you can do well against anything you're up against. There is no outright best weapon for everyone or every situation, which makes a refreshing change.

I have both and still sure the Lancaster.  IIRC, when I was trying the Evans I found it slower to acquire targets and any edges it had over the Lancaster weren't enough to make up for the shortcomings compared to it.

....but yeah, it all matters what you're comfortable with in the end and who well you use it.

Yep, I find the Evans slow, as well. But, I think it's better used for PvE, clearing hide-outs and stranger missions. I think the Lancaster is great for PvP. The Evans does hold more bullets, it's got a jumbo clip, but the long reloading time may not be good for PvP.

I appreciate both and I have all the repeaters --I use the Lancaster more often, though.

Personally, once I got the Evans I just kind of stuck with it. I like the sound and I like the capacity. Head shots are still about as instakill as it gets, factoring in ability cards. Sure, it’s slow to reload, but you don’t really have to all that often. If I want to hit a little harder I use a bolt action.

Hmm I was using the Carbine, lol then realized I needed an upgrade, I bought the lancaster and have been sticking with it, it's great for pvp or pve I love clearing hide outs with it, I never tried the Litchfield or the Evans, maybe in the future when I have $$ to burn, for now I am set with the Lancaster though.

hmm. So it seems the general consensus is use which ever one you are more comfortable with. Ive taken a break from showdowns cause I really only enjoy playing Team Deathmatch and not being put into all the other stuff. Maybe if they give us the option to play one specific game mode, I would enjoy it much more. Sooner or later ill get back into it as I am striving to complete all 435? buckle unlocks which require you to play PvP

In terms of damage, I bank headshots. So the less damage doesn't phase me considering headshots are an insta-kill, but maybe I will like the better accuracy. Ill probably buy it around lvl 100 when I get back into PvP again. Until then, Ima stick with what I got whilst farming stranger missions and hunting.
