jnaron_ngc
Hey y'all. I;m looking for explanation of how lobbies work. I have always had serious disconnect issues, to the extent that it would have made a normal person quit this game. But since I'm not normal I come in search of knowledge. It appears to me that the server error codes I see do indeed mean something. (predominately ending in 0004, 0005, 0006 and more), although R* support actually told me they are meaningless. I notice if I get one of these errors I will continue to get them until I log back in and choose a region map to be sent to. Most of the time this seems to work. But my ignorance of the server/lobby architecture is limited to guessing. Please enlighten me with knowledge. Thanks in Advance Edited August 7, 2019 by jnaron_ngc

R* support may not know what the codes mean but some developer put them for a reason. My disconnects are getting much more frequent. I have even purchased a new PS4 only installed RDR and the updates. Still get the errors. More since the last update. R* treats us like mushrooms in this area and appear to be working on everything else but disconnect issues.
Ozy8753
Wasted your money DC, R* servers are the problem, logged into a buggy server today not a fish to be seen logged out & back in & the fish were back, it seems though I don't get disconnected here in the UK as much as our American cousins?
DNMNetTech
I didn't get the PS4 for the game. My old one was dying and got the new 1tb drive for anniversary a couple weeks ago. Just was pointing out that the new PS4 didn't help.

RedDeadDisconnect 2
Broken Servers since my day 1. Thinking back now it was early December. Got a 50mb/s DL and 4 mb/s UL. Seen the Error 0x20010006. at least over 200 times now. Every 5 minutes, every 25 minutes. Character on level 12 still. My fault ? no no... You have been disconnected from Red Dead Online due to a fault on Rockstar game services [Error: 0x20010006] Off to Dark Souls.

It seems the servers have got worse and I got disconnected on the loading screen this time. How can someone get disconnected If they have not even finished connecting in the first place. I really regret buying it early and for the full price. You have been disconnected from Red Dead Online due to a fault on Rockstar game services [Error: 0x20010006] Off to heroin hero. i mean division 2. Zui
I was getting disconnected like twice every half hour. The port forwarding, dns changes and clearing cache etc from their support page helped a bit but advice I found from a comment somewhere lowered it to around two disconnects every four hours.... Start up in Story mode and switch to Online from there. No idea how but it works for me. Xbox, America. Dl speed 109.07 mbps , Up 11.37 mbps Packet loss 0%, Mtu 1480, Latency 62ms

Yeah I now believe that was a coincidence. Best thing that’s helped me is resetting the modem/router and clearing cache before playing.
jnaron_ngc
I do that myself by having Xbox1 restart completely at power on , instead of being on standby.
