tadp0le Posted June 18 Posted June 18 As far as I know, Microsoft never tried their hand at handheld consoles. I think this could be interesting. I know the other Ally handhelds are insanely expensive though so like... I am wondering if these will be overpriced/super expensive as well. I just don't see them being better than Steam Deck. Thoughts?
Coyote Posted June 19 Posted June 19 I don't know if this will help them or hurt them cause I can't see them being priced for affordability. My friend said gaming is quickly becoming a luxury hobby in that most people can't afford to get the new stuff and have to wait for sales.
SaulGoodMan Posted June 23 Posted June 23 According to rumors, it is likely going to be starting at $499 USD. That is for the white one and the black one is going to cost double. If these are true... Yikes. I think anything over $300 for the standard model will be a mistake.
ZLion Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I think it will end up being over priced and this will put a lot of people off from buying one. I know I would not be paying what is rumoured to be the cost at launch. I am going to have a hard enough time buying games at $80/$90 USD.
ChrisCr0ss Posted June 30 Posted June 30 I am interested but only if the price isn't insane. Based on what I have heard/read, and what people said here, it is looking like they will be overpriced. Like too costly for me. Maybe when they eventually go on sale I will snag one.
Anc1entC0re Posted July 3 Posted July 3 I'll probably get one. I was going to switch over to PS5 but decided that it isn't worth buying another console for me just to play a few games that will and have come to PC anyways. And I am not into Nintendo anymore so if I want a handheld, this is the way to go.
VICKSUN Posted July 12 Posted July 12 I doubt they will be affordable. Gaming is becoming more and more of a luxury hobby. Like it was never "cheap" but I knew tons of people growing up that had consoles. These days, fewer and fewer people do. A lot of people opt for PC gaming because in the long run, it is cheaper.
