dIV4r Posted June 22 Posted June 22 I looked into this cause I would love to go back to playing it on console. My PS4 started having issues so I sold it and got a PS5 and ended up having to get RDR2 on PC which was fine at first but the hacker problem has gotten on my nerves honestly. I would love to just play it on PS5 but unlike Xbox, there doesn't seem to be a way to do this unless I am overlooking something?
elmZ Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Did you ask AI? lol You can play it on PS5 but I don't know if it is worth the cost. It is locked at 30FPS on both PS5 and Xbox S/X. There is no way around it. It seems to run a bit smoother than it did on the pro.
FLIP Posted June 22 Posted June 22 Yeah it works on PS 5 and even has faster loading but the actual FPS of the game is watered down/mid and feels sluggish at times. It is still 100% playable. I am just hoping those rumors are true and we get legit ports for newer consoles cause I know this game would look so much better on PS 5 if it was adjusted for it.
Kean_1 Posted June 23 Posted June 23 I bought RDR2 when I had a PS4 and played it a few times on my PS5 without issue. .....not sure what trouble you're having with your copy but it should be playable.
Jammin Jim Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Are you using a different account on your new system? I mean check the store and see what it says. If you bought the digital version on PS4, you should be able to download it again and play it.
