Strange Tales of the West Volume 1

So the new missions they added recently involve some cool things.

The new missions are presented as supernatural investigations commissioned by one Theodore Levin, an author interested in unexplained phenomena. The standout among them is "Strange Tales of the Plague," which sends players into a zombie-infested version of Armadillo, a small settlement in the Cholla Springs region of New Austin. Both the premise and execution of this mission are reminiscent of Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare, which is still widely regarded as one of the best expansions Rockstar ever made.

I love the throwback they hint at with this stuff and I think the quote above is right, Undead Nightmare is still the best expansion to date in all of their games. That being said, since this is just Volume 1, we should expect another after this. Maybe more than one. Who knows! I am pretty hyped! I am working on playing through the missions this week.

For anyone wondering, there are four new missions. 

Strange Tales of the Plague: This mission involves finding and delivering diseased corpses in Armadillo while avoiding zombies and cultists.
Strange Tales of Modern Science: In this mission, players must attack Braithwaite Manor, which is defended by a large number of robots.
Strange Tales of the Bayou: This mission takes place in Lagras, where players have to fight through waves of NPCs and gators to capture a target.
Strange Tales of the Wilderness: This mission requires players to track down a target in a large area of Tall Trees without any weapons or consumables.

I got the first one done last night.

I really had no clue this was coming. I don't think anyone did. I didn't see anyone talking about rumors or nothing of the sort. I guess they really did spring this on us out of nowhere!

These missions have been a lot of fun! I know some people were complaining (not here, elsewhere) and I am like, bro we got new content just enjoy it it ffs. We never get anything new haha

I logged in the other day after taking a break to see we have new content and I was quite honestly confused. I thought someone hacked my game. No way, I though, Rockstar would ever give us new content. lol I haven't played much of it yet cause I have been busy but I am looking forward to binging it this upcoming weekend. Taking time off from work so I will have a 4 day weekend.
