  1. Just registered on the forum to let you all know I'm selling my PS4 PRO + RDR2 Ultimate edition this week just to get a XBOX ONE X + RDR2. Only reason is the poor grafic quality of the game at 4K. I know I'm not the only one and probably won't be the last, so maybe Sony should consider this a real problem if Rockstar does not...

  2. I have shot my share of fellow gamblers and dealers in the game. It's... therapeutic.

  3. Ahhh, yes. It's that time of year again when hard decision making is painful, as everyone selects their favorite title of the year. The battle in my mind between God of War, and Red Dead Redemption 2 wasn't an easy decision. Don't get me wrong, God of War was a fantastic game, without a doubt. However, Red Dead Redemption 2 was more of my style, and taste which is why it got my vote for this year. Also, if you haven't already, go vote! The game awards will be announcing which title won each category, so do your part and vote on the title you found to be the best this year. Link: https://thegameawards.com/awards/

  5. Some are time sensitive, like the house builders, and won't come back. Others will respawn.

  6. They come back. Depending on the random encounter, you may need to wait till a certain part of the day or whatever. Just check back after a few days of in-game time. Go to another area and then come back.

  7. Again for those who don’t wanna read the whole thread, best picture with much less blur is: -turn boost mode off (on ps4 pro, System>settings) -Turn HDR off -Turn Camera follow to off or low

  8. This day, November, 16, 2018 I am establishing Marston's Law, which states: Items that seem ridiculously overabundant and plentiful shall always become sparse, infrequent, even rare once you begin searching for them specifically and in earnest. At the beginning of the game I saw so many Pronghorn Sheep that they seemed like vermin. The first thing I dragged into camp was a Pronghorn Buck, and I was a little ashamed. I thought to myself that the game was a bit "pronghorny." Now that I'm trying to find one to tick off my camp improvements, I can't find one for love or money. They've evaporated. I see what seems to be a juicy, perfect pronghorn or 5 on the horizon, get out my binocs, and sure enough they are mangy White Tail's, of which I need none. Where were they when I needed them? An so it goes with rabbits, squirrels, boars etc. To the point where I'm wondering if they coded it into the game just to laugh at my sorry ass. I just shake my head and say... it's Marston's Law. Give me a shout if this has happened to you, just to know I'm not crazy.

  9. It sees you when you're sleeping It knows when you're awake It knows if you've been bad or good So be good for goodness sake … "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" John Michael Montgomery It does adjust certain events and behaviors based on your actions, so who knows? LOL It's got the jump on us! How do you beat a game like that??? Some b*tch at camp keeps gettin on me about not doing my chores. A video game that sees into your soul, this is how Skynet starts! 😂

  10. I have often suspected that the game 'knows' what stage you are on with quests/challenegscollectibles etc, and when you are hunting using eagle eye, bow etc, and adjusts accordingly.

  12. I'm still in chapter 2 and have all the arrows. Think I bought one from the fence in St. Dennis. Been crafting as I go. It took awhile to get enough to make extra of the poison. Great for hunting pelts ! Just remember to toss the meat.

  13. Yep bought everything the fence had for pamphlets, and from what i've read all fences have the same stock of goods for sale. Looks like its not available for me yet. One post on gamefaqs says chapter 5, the next says chapter 4. So i guess i won't worry about doing the survivalist challenges for a while yet. Edit: found this on google, have to go see if i can get there tonight and not wait for chapter 4 or 5 Edit: So this is wrong, I don't have the poison recipe and it's not at this location, maybe I missed something that unlocks it?

  14. Did you check the fences. Most of the arrow recipe's can be bought at your friendly neighborhood fence. If they're not showing up in yur campfire crafting menu, double check that you've got enough flight feathers needed for the recipe... happened to me.

  15. NVM... I re-reading it I understood your statement wrongly the first time XD

  16. The above post is correct, BUT it also worth noting that when you replay a mission through the progress screen you go back in with a pre-determined amount of things NOT what you actually had at the time. I had 99 chewing tobacco to help with Dead Eye on the replay I had precisely zero chewing tobacco. So now I make a manual save before each mission and reload that to get the gold rather than using the replay mission option or screen.

  17. For RDR2O I'm gonna do a lot of hunting RP with people... seems like the perfect game to do so.

  18. At the expense of sounding trite, the game is probably going to have multiple online modes, including an open world free roam version; if I had to guess, it'd probably be akin to the current single player mode, but with the ability to purchase and upgrade housing, gang hideouts, and populated with other players as opposed to NPC's only. Maybe they have cooperative and PvP versions separate. Maybe they're co-mingled. I do think the slower pace of the game overall (being locked into horseback, stagecoach, or train travel when not on foot) is going to severely limit the ability of players/groups to actively troll in the online component. Or maybe I'm wrong, and they'll add in Doc Brown's flying time traveling steam engine as DLC.

  19. Thanks for the warning! I will be more careful in future. Back to the issue, If anyone is saying it is the "art style" that results in a blurry mess on PS4 Pro, maybe they can then also explain why PS4 Pro has a different "art style" to XBOX ONE X. Because on XBOX ONE X the game looks incredible. When someone notice a graphical problem and complain about it, all the fanboys want to treat them like an idiot because they can't face the fact that the game is not presented optimally. Acknowledging this would burst their bubble. We all play lots of games, often using the same hardware. So if I notice that 6 other games look amazing on my PS4 Pro and Sony 4K TV using the exact same system settings, then I load up RDR2 for the first time and immediately something does not look right. Of course, something is not right! There is a massive difference between art direction and graphical fidelity. And on the PS4 Pro, there is a very clear problem with graphical fidelity. R* created AMAZING art for RDR2. The lighting, the graphics, the physics, everything is exceptionally good. But....BUT! The rendering on PS4 Pro is BAD! It affects the graphical fidelity in a very negative way. Why is it so hard for people to understand this complaint? Even R* tech support act like idiots about this issue. Technically speaking, they are using a 1080p resolution and "enhancing" it to 4K. It is a TERRIBLE implementation of checkerboard rendering - the absolute WORST I have ever seen on PS4. At this stage of the current generation, RDR2 should really be the best looking game on ALL platforms, including the PS4 Pro. But it is the absolute WORST looking game on PS4 Pro so far. And again, we are NOT talking about technical things like lighting, art, physics, not even the texture quality and detail themselves. We are talking about how it is PRESENTED on PS4 Pro. It is presented poorly. Very very poorly,

  20. Hi, why do you want to make them non-free? If you want to play as "realistically" as possible, you could always lose the money on purpose gambling or something.

  21. Any possible truth to this claim? I’m not near my PS4 so I can’t check what software version it is.

  24. Hi guys I have been following this post from the Beginning and...... I am ashamed to say I finally caved in and went out and bought an xbox one x just to play this game, the difference between the the x version and the pro version is sickening I recommend anyone else do the same as I don't think this will be fixed, I am enjoying this game so much more now it isn't a blurry mess its just a shame i hade to go and buy an new console just because neither rockstar or sony are taking notice of this game breaking problem.

  25. I played for 2 hours straight today. In both 4K and 1080. Also using the “trick” of switching back and forth etc. 1080 is YES less eye strain.. but NO it does NOT look better!!! It looks worse graphically. Just less nauseating. this game gives me a headache I’ve never felt. My eyes feel like they have been holding up 10 pound weights for 2 hours. In conclusion... this is the best horribly unfinished game ever made. I think they need to turn down the volumetric fog/weather. I think that it is 1 a bit much, and 2 very taxing on the system. I think they could get a little more processing power with that waaaay down or off all together. uggh, this is soo lame. I really want to play more, but honestly I think my eyes need about 24hours to heal... i have had perfect vision my entire life. i think the people who “don’t see what you are talking about...” don’t have perfect vision. My eyes can’t stop from focusing hard. And I’m telling you it physically hurts for about 10-15 minutes after an hour of play... this is the ONLY 4K HDR game that has done this to me. I have an LG OLED and I’ve played or own ALL of the PS4pro hdr 4K titles. this is by far at the VERY bottom of the list. And that is SAD.
