  1. Excuse me?! This thread is focused on a particular issue which we deem an actual significant one. And you come on here accusing us that this is the only thing that matters to us? How do you justify such a statement? This is the only issue DISCUSSED HERE. Big difference! And explain to me how the VISUAL APPEARANCE of a game is somehow unimportant when a large portion of the gaming experience is centered around VISUAL PERCEPTION? Why is it that game industry is investing millions into better VISUAL technologies? Because from a purely gameplay point of view, only incredibly rudimentary visuals are technically "necessary". You are accusing people for being childish because of an issue that is ruining their gaming experience. And you are calling them childish, "grow up" because YOU personally do not perceive this issue. Now tell me again, who really needs to grow up? Ironically, YOU are the one acting like a self-obsessed, entitled CHILD! We are legitimately addressing an issue you have absolutely no business commenting on since this issue is not relevant to you, apparently.

  2. It’s how game companies listen to their communities if you google the problem on blurry textures THIS thread is near the top due to the replies and activity it’s got. So yes the more we complain the more it’ll get noticed

  3. There are some genuine issues with the pro version and if you dont want to contribute, get lost. You have been the most annoying person on here by far. Some the things on here ARE rubbish.. tv modes etc wont fix the blurring. The sharpness slider is only meant for 1080p mode and tricking it into 4k mode etc is NOT a fix. And yes sharpness or screen quality is that issue, basically the whole point of this topic. When im and numerous others are getting headaches from the 4k/SS Mode, something is wrong. Trying to trigger someone with the baby comment is just immature.

  4. This effect sucks a lot in forests, where we have a lot of trees and foliage. This game has a overdose of special effects. It looks like some enb series mods of the past of GTA San Andreas, GTA IV and V on the PC. Or Skyrim. I feel drunk on playing this game. I need no alcohol to produce ths feeling, but with some bottles of beer, the game looks better.

  5. Different people enjoy the game in different ways. Different people get different things out of games. There is no bad/wrong fun, just personal preferences. One can argue for one type of play style offering perhaps a richer or longer or more aesthetically pleasing experience than another, sure - but ultimately folk will subjectively decide for themselves.

  6. Last night talking with another player and he asked if I beat the game yet. I said no, I am trying to do as much as I can in one experience. He then tells me that he beat it in under 48 hours. He then wants to brag about how he finished it before me. I personally don't care I am enjoying the game. So other then being rude. Why is it players feel a need to rush through the game? By the way, he did no side missions, hunting, fishing, or anything else that was not part of a mission.

  7. So last night I was fishing in CatTail pond just north of Wallace Station. Used a lake lure fishing for a northern pike to finish the survivalist challenge. There was a Bull Elk creeping around the pond that was getting unusually close to me while fishing. I was battling the pike for a minute or 2 when the elk charged into the pond and head-butted the fish! Arthur thanked the Elk and the fish easily reeled in after that and it was kinda weird looking northern pike that Arthur called Jean Marc or Jean Luc. It then only gave me the option to throw him back. It freaked me out a lil bc I like to smoke my vegetables while playing Rdr2 and thought I was hallucinating. Anyone else experience this weird glitch??

  8. Sorry, yes Lemoyne. Thanks auto correct. It freaked me out because I "discovered" it when the sun came up and I was crouching underneath it.

  9. That's what I'm thinking. I got there the first try. But didn't notice I had to stay dry... Everyother time they've killed me as I crossed the border... I have plenty of other challenges to work on. I got all the treasure hunts (explorer challenges) done earlier. Spent some time on herbalist (couldn't find that damn berry), and got a couple Hunter/survivalist done. It's been a productive day. Taking a break now before I go over to my parents. @BropolloCreed79 one of these days I'll get around to giving it a shot. Hope they're delicious! @RustyLovesBeefarino not too worried about it. I'll either do a second play through, or focus on the online mode.

  10. They're probably ignoring you because most people know "high quality" HDMI cables are usually a gimmick and have no real effect on framerates. HDMI cable quality degradation usually results in signal loss or pixelation, not game performance. The cable that comes with the X should be good enough. And even if you weren't using a 2.0 cable, a 1.4 cable would also be enough for RDR2, since the game only runs at 4K/30. HDMI 2.1 is also totally unnecessary. Those cables are rated for 4K/120 and 8K. No games run that high, other than brand new Nvidia RTX PC games. So unless he's experiencing signal loss or pixelation, his cables are just fine.

  12. Van Horn is brutal. There doesn't seem to be any police force there - the locals just take things into their own hands instead of reporting you and are itching to pull a gun. Similar to you, I bumped into someone in the bar, got into a fist fight, then everyone in the town got out their guns to go after me. I hid behind a stack of boxes near the south entrance to the town mowing everyone down until everyone in the town was dead, no bounty, nobody running away to report me. If you wait a couple of minutes more angry mob will spawn at the other end of town and come after you again. You can repeat this indefinitely until you run out of ammo or run away. At no point did I get a bounty. The towns folk are sure angry with you after that though, I'm not sure if there is any way to "make up" with them since there is no bounty to pay, perhaps after enough time they will forgive you. I ended up reloading a save as shooting up the town multiple times over destroyed my honour rating. I agree that different towns and areas behaving differently to your actions makes it more interesting.

  13. I spew explicative laced tirades at them all the time. Especially during poker. Then I stand up, manually save my game, and go full OJ on them.

  14. Such as the bastard playing dominoes at Emerald Ranch. I was doing the "win three games of dominoes in a row" challenge and as soon as he became a Jedi master during the third game I was absolutely livid. My girlfriend had to leave the room! Which was pretty good because then she didn't have to witness the things I did to that man when I finally won...

  15. This gives me some hope again: https://www.gamerevolution.com/guides/460027-red-dead-redemption-2-hdr-patch-when-is-it-coming Quote: "RockstarINTEL has reported that Rockstar has officially acknowledged the issue, saying: “We are currently hard at work fixing [the issues].”

  16. They really made a lot of irritating artistic decisions in this game. The bottom of the screen is tinted darker than the rest of the screen to emulate “realistic” peripheral vision. So damn distracting.

  17. That's the way to do it right there.

  18. Would be interesting to see the beginnings of the Van Der Linde gang, play as Dutch this time, doing small jobs at first, getting more members, maybe it ends when he and the gang end up where the story is when you start RDR2. Kinda get a complete story.

  20. GTA Online was hugely successful so even if red dead matches it, which it will surpass it is awsome

  21. I hope the next Red Dead game will take place in the 1870-1889 era. It is a way more appropriate time for a western themed game. I hope we will see the great age of gunslingers and outlaws while the West was still the “Wild West”. I also hope we will see more of the classic guns that I associate with the genre, like the Colt navy/army/dragoon, Remington’s equivalents and iconic guns like the Lemat. The game itself will hopefully not take place solely in a desert environment but with many different type of states, just like RDR2. Maybe the big city in the next game could be something of a San Francisco kind of city!? And with small places like Deadwoodesque towns and such. I would like that the next RD game did not have anything with the Redemption-storyline to do at all except maybe a cameo or two.

  26. Game glitch for Fort Wallace. Read what it says when hovering. I saw the same came here and read everything you guys said and looked again at my map. Then I realized Fort Wallace is red and when I hover it shows nothing, went back to spot it lists Fort Wallace. Hope that helps!
