Killing their horse is going to be my new reaction to griefers. Griefers, Kill me for no reason, I kill you and your horse!3 points

Exploring in RDO is unprofitable, and lack-lustre (esp compared to solo story). Yet it needn't be so - here's my list of easy solutions: 1 Randomize loot found in shacks (no new server farming) 2 Double cash value of jewellery at fence 3 Add in chance to find high value items, like: gold nuggets, treasure maps, saveable clothing and hats, recipe pamphlets, horse tack, pelts, herb bundles, and rare melee weapons 4 Open up more buildings, too many are closed 5 Have the possibility of people being in the shacks 6 Bring back two series of Collectibles connected to challenge rewards, cigarette cards and dinosaur bones being good choices 7 Bring back sites of interest: tree carvings, crashed flying machines, giant bones, rock carvings, man made mutant, pagan ceremony etc 8 Return life to towns by bringing back: beggars, pamphleteers, public hangings, preachers 9 Put weird strangers around the place, like the butchers creek banjo mutant, the bayou ghost, the crazy river preacher, and the blind seer 10 Put the shows on again: Valentine, Blackwater and StDenis 11 Put a butcher in Annesburg, a doctor in Blackwater, and a trapper in the Grizzlies. 12 Have saloons sometimes sing camp songs, or Cripps sometimes sing at camp, or buskers in towns singing 13 Have upgraded saddle bags that allow you to carry double number of herbs 14 Have more canoes available across the world 15 Increase the spawn rate of bandit camps and ambushes a little, double the loot found on their bodies All of those should be relatively easy, especially given most existed in the solo.2 points

I wouldn't think you would lose items that are unlocked with gold. If so, that presents a problem since that means items that are possibly bought with money would be lost and a player would have to purchase them again. @Makoki I would send a message to R* through their support page and ask them specifically what happens to items that you have bought with gold and in turn real money when you create a new character. Personally, I think it should retain those items in your inventory when you create the new one (clothing, etc.) if it is not already. Either way, probably best to wait after the beta or the option Poggy mentioned to change your character's features. In GTA you can do this for a fee. I would imagine RDO will eventually have the same option.2 points

There's a lot of talk online about how to get to Mexico using various glitches but I haven't seen much about exploring outside the western/northern/eastern boundaries of the game until I came across this youtube video showing an easy way to get out of the map that still works in 1.05: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaVezKuc1jI I've been exploring outside the boundary of the map to the west, north and east for a while now and I'm absolutely STAGGERED at how much map there is outside the normal boundary of the map. I have not seen this much out of boundary map in any other game. Not all of it is fully textured or completed, and you do need to watch out for "fall through" ground at the very outer limits (where you get stuck in an infinite falling loop) but there are literally miles and miles of ground normally invisible and inaccessible that are fully rendered. Many areas don't have wildlife but some do. I've attached map screenshots to show just how far the out of bounds area goes - with the north and north east being the most interesting to explore so far, and I haven't got anywhere near exploring it all. It seems like there is nearly half as much area outside the normal boundary as there is inside it. The youtube video shows two ways to get out - one a cave near Pronghorn Ranch, and the second a cave near The Loft. The first cave is very easy - just take enough booze to get yourself drunk, go into the cave to the location shown then get drunk enough to pass out and you'll respawn nearby outside the map. Easy - except without your horse it just takes far too long to get anywhere and that area is largely snow so even slower going and not nearly as interesting as the north east part. The second cave is much more difficult - there is a piece of rock you need to run up and slide on, it can take dozens of attempts to get it right. However when you do eventually get it right it's worth it - after passing out you'll respawn just above the cave still within the normal boundary of the map, however it is a high section that is not normally reachable. Go north slightly east and you will find a way to cross the map boundary. Just past this boundary you'll find some wild horses, calm or lasso then tame a horse and you will then have transport to explore. I recommend finishing the game before exploring out of the map, and go to a fence first to fully upgrade your pouch so you have a huge inventory space to carry ridiculous amounts of booze (to pass out to get out of the map) food, horse reviver, and other supplies. There is no way all this extra map area was created only as backdrop to be seen from afar - there is perfectly detailed scenery going on for miles that can never even be seen from the distance. It's pretty clear that a lot more map was made for the game than we got to see, and they then added artificial "slippery" barriers and rock faces to keep us inside a reduced area after deciding that all that extra area wasn't necessary for story purposes. Some of the terrain and the very limits looks procedurally generated, but a lot looks hand crafted. I don't know what happens if you try to save and reload outside the map, I haven't tried to do that yet! Most likely you'll just end up back inside the map.1 point

So, I have been looking for a Soundtrack release for RDR2 and so far have not been able to find anything. Specifically, I would like to find a copy of the song being sung during Arthur's trek back to the abandoned camp upon his return from Guarma. The song is hauntingly beautiful, and I would really like a copy of it to add to a couple of play lists. Since I cannot seem to find any soundtrack release, I was wondering if anyone knew the song? Who performs it, name of the song, availability? Anyway, probably my second favorite song in the game is sung by the characters at camp about the Elk and the Buffalo and how times have changed. Awesome stuff.1 point

Join the Long Riders! The Long Riders (formerly US Marshal Service) wants interested and like-minded folk to join! After working for the government (R*) for some time as US Marshals, it became clear that the government was not going to take the necessary steps to end the lawlessness in the West. A few Marshals decided to take the law into their own hands, and formed the Long Riders. The goal of the Long Riders is to provide safety, security, and peace of mind to all those individuals who wish to roam the West without hostile criminals assaulting and killing them and their kin. The Long Riders are dedicated to cleaning up the West and hunting down known hostile individuals in order to bring them to justice (or the afterlife). Please contact the Coca-Cola Kid on the RDR2.org forums (XB1 Gamertag ATOQB) if you are interested.1 point

That's why i did all the blackjack challenges there i could kill everyone in the saloon and not get busted for it. I've killed everyone in Van Horn a number of times over now, and have gone through Butcher Creek a few times also. but they respawn so quickly there it's hard to tell if you're rekilling one of the first ones or finishing off the last in the village.1 point

throw them, like a throwing knife etc. Equip them in the weapon wheel, hold left trigger to aim and right trigger to throw. Tooltips in the bottom right corner give you the buttons to use.1 point

Your wit astounds me. "I don’t was my time on snowflakes who can’t handle what they got themselves into and cries for changes." Do you realize that all you do as a griefer is waste your time on "snowflakes who can't handle what they got themselves into"?1 point

I imagine the intent was always to have cosmetic items be account bound, but items that are part of game play, such as rifles and weapons, are charater specific. Probably to discourage people from leveling up, starting over, and being laden with goodies from a previous character.1 point

And you sir are a pariah. See YA in the private lobbies! Oh wait, no I won't , I only invite adults to my private lobbies. People that understand that although the cover of a book is what you see first, you are still supposed to read the inside wordy words too. And please, if YA are technically considered an adult, don't admit it.... just don't. Also, do YA even understand what you are typing?: "You’re probably the type to rage quit games that you can’t figure out or beat and resort to destroying your things." YA do realize that your style of gaming is literally spending time destroying others things because you can't figure the game out yourself. YA style is the equivalent of being a lowly purse snatcher because YA can't wrap YA little walnut around robbing banks. I know my above statements sound kinda stupid... It's probably my excessive use of "YA".1 point

It's easy for a game like this in it's current state to turn a lot of players into griefers, the game doesn't leave you with that much else to do. I never attack players without reason, I only go after players who either choose to shoot me on site or those that are involved in Freeroam work that I can benefit from.1 point

Yes to any and all of that list Poggy, each one of those suggestions would add goodness to the RDO experience without a doubt. I could add one more - just let Cripps speak, or better still, respond! All that silence in camp unsettles me, make him play his harmonica, fart occasionally, anything!1 point

Nah, let's just build a wall around everything and forget all the bad aspects of the game within the wall.. Wait.. The title made me LOL and think of that. I like all your ideas there and I hope the end result is a polish game that both single players online can enjoy exploring by themselves and people who are in gangs can have a blast fighting each other.1 point

This one dude, must have been a kid, he kept screaming and doing the dumbest things. Like I was trying to hunt and he kept screwing with me. A few of his friends joined and just followed me around. So I started talking to them when I noticed my buddy wasn't AFK anymore. I had him sneak up behind the three of them and kill them all. When they respawned we kept hunting them down for a good hour. If you don't let me fake hunt in virtual reality, you will become my target.1 point

Haven't tried it yet, but a capture the flag game with a deer carcass could be fun. Place it in the middle of some area and first team to bring it over to a pre -designated scoring area wins. Would have to be done in free roam, so could be tough with griefers, unless you tie them into the game somehow. Like if they come around, treat them like the third party they are, just a neutral team trying to stop anyone from scoring. Maybe give a point for each griefer kill and have it a side game to get more kills than the other team before someone scores with the "flag".1 point

@Poggy .... I'm pretty sure what @BropolloCreed79 is suggesting wouldn't require any other players or NPCs... most likely just need to buy some socks from the tailor..lol1 point

If this were possible I would do nothing but this..lol... You can hogtie people and throw them in the back of a stolen stage coach, then shoot the horse in the butt with the varmint...1 point

MARIO KART! Rocket league is also a lot more fun than I expected. It's free on the xbox game pass, so I played it while I was waiting for RDR2.1 point

That´s bad, i´d spend a lot of real money to buy gold cause i like to dress up and redress my char a lot. So if i don´t like some aspects of her (just minor things like her chin, ect.) i can´t fix it without loosing all what i bought? Would be nicer they link these things with our accounts, so we can change chars without looseing real money. Or making a kind of a safe where we can store things accountwise, so if one design a new char he/she could go there and find his/hers stuff. But anyhow, thanks for your answer and the info.1 point

After considering all things and putting 2 and 2 together I came to the conclusion that I expect that RDR2 will probably be fixed for good on the PS5! They will probably make it one of the selling points for the new console. Remastered or at least graphicly improved and/or enhanced with a new form of anti aliasing and off course 4k and true hdr! So I won't expect a final solution myself anymore, but more of a alternative in the form of a PS5. Profit is a bitch when you know it is all and only about making money! Also (and this has nothing to do with the hdr/blur problems), after watching a certain YouTube video, I came to the conclusion that the RDR2 game design isn't that revolutionary as many think. Watch this video and make up your own mind: Rockstars game design is outdated! Also I noticed that the self proclaimed "employee of Rockstar" has been quiet, so that means that he doesn't know anymore what to say because of the lack of any true solution or he stopped trolling! 👎1 point

Lol I wouldn’t join your private lobby even if you were to invite me. I don’t was my time on snowflakes who can’t handle what they got themselves into and cries for changes. Maybe try minecraft? Or Cabela big game hunter?0 points

Aww a gathering of snow flakes.. just buck up and fight then off.. I target people who are in my path and have cross path with people who chase you around the map.. just fight back..0 points

Lol okay.. I didn’t know there was a proper way to play and rank up in a game. Some people hunt animals for XP. Killing players gives you XP. So some maybe prefer gain XP that way for a more challenging hunt.0 points

If all else fails you can do what my buddy did, he couldn't get rid of these "free horse" so he parked it on the train tracks. That did the trick.0 points
