  1. Maybe if I’m feeling ambitious later I’ll post a few pictures of my cap and ball to show the built in loading press.

  2. ......check the 3 minute mark. That explains why he had to load the cylinder on the bench with his own press. This wasn't a requirement for this or necessarily other percussion revolvers of the time. The reloading assembly broke off on his gun, that's why. .....otherwise you can load the revolver with the cylinder still in the the frame of the weapon. That's what I was talking about.

  3. I played the solo/story mode for nearly two months before trying the online mode. Overall, it's a good game, but some things are very frustrating for me, at least: Nights are way, way, way too long. Seems like night is the default time. It's night almost every time I log in. Night almost every time I try to do a mission. Night when I try to see my wardrobe in the dark. So frustrating. Wildlife is very distant and not nearly plentiful enough. Yet it seems that whenever I'm on a timed mission, all of a sudden there's a lot of wildlife very close. If that's really how Rockstar built the game, it's terribly unfair to players. Racing through a timed mission (and mostly at night), you can't take advantage of the suddenly plentiful game animals. Logging back in at wildly random places far from where you logged off is also very frustrating. If it happens to be daylight, you spend most of that precious light racing to where you actually want to be. In addition to it being night for so long, there's the fog or mist atmospherics that make it very difficult to see much detail a lot of the time.

  4. UPDATE: I finally tried each of the new horses and have updated my favorite horse, see the last post or later post from me in this thread below. I am LOVING this Kladruber, earlier I bought the white and black one because I love the look, they look great and depending on what you wear it looks even better, BUT I knew these were just for cosmetics as the stats are very low, similar to a Shire, so as soon as I got to level 20 I bought the dark one with the best stats in that class, there is a silver one and a blueish, blackish one, it reminds me of the horse I got in Story mode for buying the special edition, except it is blue. This horse is amazing!! The stamina I suppose drains similar to a Fox Trotter I guess, very slowly, and of course it will also depend on what saddle you use, I am not even using the best saddle combo to be honest and it is fine, never have to pump the left stick while riding, can run across the map easily and very quickly, has a good temperament over all. In the light the colors just pop. I have a lot of horses? how many can you have? I have all but one, I left one slot open. I have both Trotters, a Turk, a Shire, 3 Kladrubers, and The bay frame Overo Croillo, it has even better stats than the Kladruber it just is a little smaller and has a cow like coat. ? That one is amazing as well, but it is a little too small for my taste, I like a larger horse, I will use it in races though as it is super quick and smaller than the trotters. I was going to buy both of the best Kladrubers as I love the black and white combo, I keep one of each because sometimes I wear a Lone ranger type outfit, all white with a big azz hat and my white horse' name is Silver, I was hoping for mask in the update but we got an eye patch and some cool glasses, the goggles actually work as a mask if you get the right ones. then I keep a black one for a similar theme, so I have a good guy and bad guy, one all white and one all black Anyway for now I am not going to bother with the silver one, I have 3 as it is, but this one "Sheldon" is my new main go to horse for just about everything, he does spook with wolves after a while and I suppose with gators and snakes too, so they arent perfect, but they look so amazing and have such great stats and run so fast and smooth Ill put up with it for a while. Check out Sheldon below. These pics blow up pretty large and you can really see the "Blue" For looks I also love that middle sta one that looks like Buell, but meh, I cant have every horse. Do you have a new favorite horse after trying any of these new breeds?

  5. In the map she's invisible. She won't show up there until you come across her in your journeys.

  6. Ok, questions answered by myself, lol, I went on a grinding streak from rank 6 to 10 yesterday, it carries everything you can pick up after hunting, not fast but quite sturdy and damage resistant, easy on the curves and bumps and across water, you can drop stuff at Cripps or sell to Butcher, just make sure you dont park it too far from Butcher to work, it comes with it's own horse (Sufolk Punch), witch is a petty cause it has minimal stats and you can't use your own draft horses, cheers, hope I helped others on this matter, will call it a solved

  8. I don't think it's possible to speed things up - I wish it was because I have the same problem, I have an eye illness which prevents me from being able to look at bright screens, so my TV screen is set to "very dark", and I see absolutely NOTHING during the night, especially not when it's foggy. I really dislike how long the nights are as well, it always seems like as if they slow down time during the night or something. I've lost count of how many times I've fallen down somewhere or crashed into a tree or got shot by an enemy just because I couldn't see where I was going or where the enemy even WAS. (Eagle Eye helps but not when you're trying to get away from something or someone.) I would love to be able to speed up the time so that it's always daytime for me in the game. I did that all the time in single player where you can just go to sleep.

  9. You know, it's kind of funny. I know RP has its fan base especially on PC but to me it's kinda goofy seeing people putting on an act to the extent that they do in some cases (like in GTAO). Especially in those situations where participants aren't allowed to break character, have to act like they are really in the virtual world they create, create backstories they have to stick to, etc. Where they go beyond the boundaries of the game / story / mechanics. ....and then there are games that tend to suck players further into that virtual world on their own. It's not necessarily RP in the way we are discussing but simply playing the game. I recently had that experience in DayZ where encounters and dialogue with other players can seem to be a little more tied into what's going in the game than IRL. Most conversations I have are regarding food, health, inventory status, navigation, trade, threats/extortion, etc. Thing is, we're not pretending it's not a game. Not sure if that makes sense but that's kind of my take on it. Personally, I'm not a fan of RP'ing in the sense of having it be a requirement. I guess it's just a matter of whether it feels forced or natural and a lot of that has to do with design. ....and to what extent. In a way, many games themselves are essentially RP experiences.
