Tried the boat, and couldn't get anything to bite. Same with the shoreline. Got on the tracks and could get it it to bite.

See I don't believe that griefers will spend more money then non-griefers. I think the issue is you don't see the non-griefers effects cause you don't see the effects of it, they don't do it just to grief. As for YouTubers, that is because no one wants to do the work themselves. They want to see the shortcuts, the cheats, the glitches. They YouTubers can get away with teach people how to do all that because they are providing free advertisement.

Thanks, I got the techniques down. It's just seems trains will come by if I try to stand on them too long. On one occasion, I waited till the train passed. I stepped forward to fish and it took a few seconds to get the fish to latch on and was reeling it in and another train came a long and killed me. I am positive that train could not have made it around the map and cameback that fast.

For me it's tougher cause I am still having issues where I have to unload to kill with a headshot. Where as my opponents' are just taking one headshot to kill me. Now to top it off as you stated, players are getting better at the game. You also have the glitch users, cheaters, and the P2W with the Gold Cards. It would be even harder and the real griefing can start.

I joined a group last Friday from the Microsoft Game Club, apparently I missed the part where they said RP. When I joined they was all in the saloon drinking. Some rode by and started shooting up the joint and they got mad when I fired back and killed the player. At my age, drinking in real life or in a game just ain't what she used to be. They all died, so afterwards they asked me to leave. Which was fine, cause I was seeking to go make money and xp, not set around and just pretend to drink and talk to others. To each their own, I moved on and though I was in the same server, I just moved away so they could enjoy whatever it was they was trying to do.

I need help with this one. I have tried fishing for him on a boat and from all the shores. I get no bites. I fish for him from the tracks, I get a bite almost everytime, but the train always comes through while I am fighting to reel him in. So how do you get him?

For the Role-Players.

You can be shot or roped while dealing with a merchant. I have had it done several times already. I think it may be a lag issue, but it has happened.

A few years back I had 2 friends. 1st one was dating a girl, things was going well. He was on the verge of proposing. Had the ring and everything. 2nd guy a bachleor for life kind of guy. So the night that the 1st guy decided to propose, he asked us all to join the 2 of them out for dinner, drinks, and dancing afterwards. So we got my 2 buddies, the girlfriend, a friend of hers, my wife and I. Now the 1st guy doesn't dance, but the 2nd guy did. So he danced with the other girls and as the night went on, he focused his attention on my friend's girl. Now the 1st guy wasn't given a chance to make his proposal cause the 2nd guy kept the girl distracted. Her friend wasn't happy and asked if someone could take her home. So the 1st guy said he could and he would be right back. By the time he returned the other 2 had slept together. The 2nd guy know how the 1st guy felt. He didn't have to pursue this girl, he did. She allowed it to happen. In the end the 2 guys hate each other. She has nothing to do with either. Yet, when the 2nd guy and I talked about it. His excuse was it was an accident. Nothing about his actions was an accident. For whatever reason he did it on purpose and he could have avoided it all together. Trolling is the same. They don't have to. They know better, but choose too. Rockstar has opened the door, but how a person plays the game, is completely on them.

No one is crying. For what they made off of the sales of the game the cost of the updates shouldn't be an issue at this point. I am happy the cheap exploits get shutdown, I hate when players use them. You are right that the playerbase has issues, everyone wanting everything too easy. So yes that includes players buying their way into the game, instead of playing the game. You are right when saying that no one hated Rockstar for giving free things away, especially around Christmas. The Gold Cards are just a sign that this will be nothing more then a GTA Online remake for cash grab. Which means thing are about to get out of hand if not already for some. Note: It was only 15 gold bars by the way.

Okay, say you and I are friends. We both get the game and for some reason it bugs you to think that I may beat to you to the end. So you rush through as fast as you can be the 1st one to have all the weapons, to be the 1st to be level 100. For some it is about rushing to be the 1st at everything, meanwhile others want to be the 1st in the world..

For some players it's about be the 1st they know, if not the 1st overall.

Yes, but all of that is where the legal issues comes to play. ToS is their of covering all that. All software is pretty much covered by some form of ToS or the escape clause as I like to call it so that they can win almost every case. Even if you can get it to court and win. They probably got some sort of escape plan not to pay.

When I did it, I threw it just beyond the bubbles. Trying not to get too close. I got like 4 or 5 fish, but they was the lowest grade. If you throw it in the middle, then you probably destroy everything.

If you think I am sounding silly, it's because you don't understand how it works. We would like them to fix it all, but they won't. Eventually it comes down to fixing what is the biggest problems. Fixing your appearance need, could cause them not to have time nor money to fix other things that affect the whole community.

I am trying to clarify, griefing is bad but only if whoever makes the rules enforces them. There is too many that can grief and some may or may not get punished regardless if anyone reports them and then it can be a lengthy process for anything to get it done then. Part of that process is finding proof that the person is even guilty. Like you said you can go report me, but then it needs proven, cause if they ban the wrong person. There can be legal issues.

Embarrassing them, hoping they leave the server to go torment someone else. Really isn't fixing the issue, it's passing it on to the next one.

I try it with a shotgun. Not much left but if good you can get 2 or 3 at a time. Dynamite works well to, you get a lot more per attempt. They are all worthless, but quantity over quality I alway say. hehe Just kidding, I have tried other opitons, but they turn up being a waste.

Trolls don't have to be trolls, they choose to be. That is why I don't completely blame Rockstar.

To me some don't understand what a lengthy process banning a player can take. I will stand corrected, for those who work for Microsoft, Sony, or Rockstar. I am sure the banning process can be expediated and players banned on a whim. For those of us who don't have those connections. We have to suffer for a spell till they do their jobs.

This isn't true, at least not anymore. I have been shot and lassoed while dealing with the butcher. @kromdar29no this is not a in town only thing. i have seen players riding out in the middle of nowhere ghosted, i dont know how its done but i can only guess that it is some kind of glitch/hack/exploit. No doubt and I have been seeing it more and more lately. Was doing a mission and saw a player do it. He was moving from NPC to NPC killing them with his knife.

What you aren't understanding is they have fixed resources. At some point they will start pulling employees from this project to work another. Then we are stuck with the remainder of whose job it is to maintain the game and fix issues as they occur. So why you get worked up about your appearance, then something else won't get fixed or even looked at. Now if they was willing to spare all of the issues. Then go for it. It will be unlikely they fix it all.

As for outrunning them, if their horses are faster then yours, which usually that is one thing they upgrade and they generally run in a Posse. It isn't hard for them to catch you. I have been crouching in cover and had players travel from town straight to me. So I ain't positive that crouching always works. As far as how many griefers you see really depends on the servers you have access to. Usually the region you are in will put you into the same area of griefers. It is funny, I play some in the morning and some at night. The players in the morning have always been out to grief. You spawn in and you can check the map, they will have already started heading your direction. Meanwhile at night, I have seen players move away once I have spawned in and won't bug me the whole time I am playing unless I initiate something. You are right, you can take precautions to a point, yet you can't avoid it. Running off to another server or running to the farthest point on the map. It doesn't help every time griefers will grief as much as possible. As far as always joining a posse, unless you have friends on all the time, randoms seem to only worry about themselves and don't give 2 cents about a group agenda.

No it isn't, but if it is never enforced. Then to many it is legal, cause there is no one stopping them. Rockstar isn't. Microsoft isn't. Sony isn't. A company or companies not doing anything to many is the same as allowing. Glitches and cheats in a game get abused everyday. They do things rarely, punish a few hoping word gets out, yet they let other do it non-stop. The issue with having to be the heavy or the bad guy that enforces the rules. You have to be the bad guy, if not players will walk over you, knowing you won't do a thing about. If you have rules, that MUST BE ENFORCED. ToS is nothing but legal mumbo jumbo that they use to their advantage, not ours. As long as you have players saying it's a gray area, that translates into they ain't doing dang thing about it. I am all for them enforcing the rules. You got players on this form admitting to that they use cheats or glitches, that it is a gray area. Those things are against the ToS. Yet unless someone enforces it, it gets ignored. To say that Xbox, Sony, or Rockstar will JUST ban someone because we say so is bull. They have process and there are times that takes months for them to filter not hours and not days and not weeks. Months. Seriously, what if you or I are just bad at a game and their great. It may look like they are cheating. What if it's lag?

Right now there is no alternatives. You can't out run griefers, you appear on the map. There is now where to go if they really want to grief you. I agree enjoy the game and see what happens, but then again I have had some great sessions and I have had some horrible sessions. In truth, there was very little control other then play it or quit it. If that is the options, then the game has issues. They need addressed now.
