I have only seen it twice and as stated above both times it was being attacked by wolves and then disappeared. This idea will bring some feeling of justice after all of this.

RDR didn't have dominoes.

Maybe I just not being clear enough. Tracks stop, horse GONE. If you use Hunters Vision. It stops with the tracks. It is GONE. No where to be found. Disappeared. Zilch. No be there. Totally not on the map. I haven't seen it since. Been up there a dozen times since I saw last and it just won't appear. Yet the wolves dead carcasses are still there and it has been over 2 weeks in the game since I saw it last. I am getting to the point where it is just simply ticking me off. My son showed me a video of some kid who rode up to it and jumped from his horse to it, broke it in a few seconds and rode it back to town.

Nope! My concern was that there maybe restricted areas that flag if you ride through them.

Patience is one thing, it being saved from wolves and then just disappear is another. More of annoyance if anything. I can't catch it with wolves around and that happened the only 2 times I saw it. It was gone before as soon as I dealt with them, which took no time at all, just the stupid dead eye animation and poof! gone.

It was like $425 and was riding in the East Grizzlies. What gave it away was bounty hunters showed up. I out ran them and went to check to see why they was chasing me and to see what my bounty was. I had just paid off all my bounties and was shocked that I still had a bounty, let alone one so high. Bounty that high you can't even go near a town without law or bounty hunters come looking.

So I started over and this is my second run through. Things going well, travel a lot. Now like the 1st, I am getting high bounties in areas that I have never been to rarely been to. Not talking about West Elizabeth either. They're not from missions and I haven't committed crimes. So question I have is there areas that if you ride through you are just going to get a wanted level? I experienced this in the far east and the north of the map? Middle of no where, no city and rarely any people.

So I tried to track this beast this weekend. After many hours, it spawned only twice and both times it was be attacked by wolves. I used dead and killed the wolves, but by the time I the animation from dead eye cleared up. The horse was gone. I could see tracks in the snow, but at some point they would just stop. I tried to use the Hunter's Vision there was no trace of the horse's path. It just disappeared both times. Is there a trick, that I am not getting?

This isnt the Red Dead I know and love.
YodaMan 3D replied to Sportty's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
To me it is an issue on some tasks, just yesterday I had done 2 task both lead me to the middle of nowhere. Spent more time traveling that dealing with the task. Trains and stage coaches and the side missions are fine, but I had task that I set out for myself and it was a buzz kill. -

I don't think you do get it. I am just the kind of person who likes to clear all the missions, side missions, find the hidden gems in each area so that I experience everything before I move onto the next task at hand. Instead in this game I find myself starting something, traveling all the way across the map to complete that task and then have to travel all the way back to do the next task. Like the Lord of the Rings novels, I spend more time traveling then enjoying the story. I don't mind taking it slow, but when that time is on horse back traveling the same road I traveled already 1 million times. -

To me that is the problem. I start something it leads me half across the map. Then I have to return back to the beginning to start the next thing. It is kind of a pain not to be able to fast travel to certain locations once unlocked. Which I get why they do it, so you have chances at other missions or encounters, but kills the buzz traveling back to the beginning every time. -

Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption wasn't the same. So RDR and RDR2 aren't the same. All similar enough for me to want to continue the story. I personally feel like there is a lot of free roam. I do hate that there is no fast travel. Nothing like trying to clear a portion of the map and start doing a task that sends you all the way to the other side of the map, only to have to travel all the back to where you started each time. The game isn't perfect, but the problems I have encountered have been small inconveniences nothing I can't live with. Now the online stuff will be out in a few weeks and then the real headaches begin. The cheaters will start cheating and doing all that they can to ruin the fun of all. -
Online Beta will launch at the "end of the month"
YodaMan 3D replied to Glopez's topic in Red Dead Online
I keep that was planned way in advance, so that they don't waste money on servers. Pretty smart planning actually. Gives players a chance to make a few runs through the story mode, start to get bored with it. Then BAM!, a brand new game mode to add some spice. -
Cheating shouldn't be the answer. Especially there are other ways to earn more then enough money to play.

Cause buying "DLC money and use it for gambling", would make it gambling with real money. Which there are laws that need to be abide. To big of a chance of players that would not show restraint and spend what they don't really have. Already, kind of a problem with players in video games with microtransactions.

Not that we know of yet. There may be some Rockstar silliness, like flying cars and motorcycles. It's yet to be seen.

You don't want changes and yet you haven't experienced where you can do absolutely nothing and get a bounty for it. I have and it's weird that I started over and there seems to be a completely different game. My son was playing at the same time he never seemed to get a bounty unless he did something to deserve it. I have read about how others have ridden into towns and immediately have a bounty. I to enjoy the game and would hate for major changes that would affect the whole idea of the game, I too have seen some strange things which makes me wonder if there isn't a problem somewhere. Players shouldn't go in shooting up towns without consequences, but they shouldn't get bounties just for riding into towns either.

My horse caused me to face-plant a tree... again!

I have been in a open field with only 1 tree and had my horse head straight for it every time. -

Don't you have to upgrade your camp to get that? -

Did you know that if you skin a legendary animal and die, you get credit from the Trapper? -
Is there anyway to block the ads that have just started popping up today at the very bottom of the screen?

Not sure what settings you use, but this isn't readable on my screen. -
Has anyone watched how fast it grows and how it varies from one time to another? I like the goatee look. So I shaved and noticed several times that by the time I reach Valentine, he'll have a full beard again. Yet I have road all the way to Saint Denis and it won't grow at all.
