I think the key for me was realising that as soon as you get back on your horse that scene is skipable, even though it doesn't seem like it should be. The journey to and from takes about 10/11 mins, so you really only have a short window to do everything else. Get your 15 headshots quickly and you should be ok. I went with the using Dead Eye one at a time rather than trying to kill multiple enemies in one go - it seemed quicker.

You're welcome, I figured it would be more helpful than "just be quicker" š

Isn't it a nod to the Kaa in the Jungle Book?

I don't think you can complete Horseman 9 until the Epilogue due to its location and it's an easy one anyway. Ride south from Van Dorn, across the bridge, head for Flatneck Station, cross the railway bridge, the ride to the Owanjila dam, cross that and into Blackwater. I did on John's standard horse and had about 4 mins to spare.

As I mentioned the other day, I did it on about my 3rd or 4th attempt, so it is certainly doable. Skip the cutscenes, open fire on the gang while Dutch is still asking you if you want to take the lead, don't hide behind anything, just march through camp with your repeater and get lots of headshots. You need to search some bodies at one stage and I believe the minimum you need to loot is two before the game will advance. Then while everyone else is still looting, head to where the O'Driscolls come out of the woods. I chose to stay put and defend, and got my three kills with one dead eye here. Once they're dead, rush back to the area where Dutch tells you and Bill to search buildings and already be heading inside while he talks. If you time it right you can grab the dynamite about 1 second after Dutch starts speaking. Head outside and wait for the horses, mount up as quick as possible - then the next scene with Dutch telling you all how proud he is can also be skipped (I didn't realise this at first). If you grab Kieran quickly enough then you head up one of two sides of a y-shaped road junction back to camp. The yellow line then tries to take you all the way round to the left of camp and back in. Instead, you can keep going straight and cut through a back garden and just turn right on the main street through town, saving a few more seconds. Took me just over 14:30 to do it all, so I had a little less than a minute spare.

I still like the idea of following Sadie for a bit and then heading down to South America, especially since Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid didn't die until 1908, so the timeline would work for Sadie to head down through Mexico into Bolivia on the trail of two of the most famous outlaws ever.

The last gang camp is down by Blackwater, I believe it's called Thieves Landing and you need to be in the Epilogue to reach it.

If there are any active mission markers, stranger quests or basically anything in the area of the bayou it will not even be possible for it to spawn, even in ch 6.

I wouldn't make that assumption about side quests if I were you. You might want to do them as they appear as some are chapter specific.

Rdr2 the best game ever made....
Limey77 replied to Aman Red Cowboy's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Certainly right up there with the very best and thatās before RDO comes out. -
I think if there is any story DLC then it will be based around Sadie. Sheās the most fleshed out of the other characters who didnāt appear in RDR1. Plus it would give them a way to lead into a third instalment down the road if they wanted to.

What console are you playing on? I know that if you contact R* the first thing they'll suggest is clearing your cache, so I'd do that first and see if it fixes the bug. https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/115015433668/Clearing-the-Cache-on-your-PS4-console https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/115015352427/Clearing-the-Cache-on-your-Xbox-One-console

Herbaslit Challenge Step 2 - glitch?- Help needed
Limey77 replied to TheRebel's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
You need to pick and eat one of each type of berry. There are blackberries (found around Strawberry and the Dakota River mainly), raspberry (found in the Heartlands easily), Evergreen Huckleberry (found in Lemoyne around the bayou, and finally the WIntergreen Berry (found up north of Annesburg). Hope that helps. -
Doesn't always work out that way, sadly. But yes that is the best bet, to go all in pre-flop at Flatneck Station and you can usually scare them off. But if you do it to much you get called and sometimes lose to some crazy hands.

Wow that sucks, took me about 3 hours the first time and about 2 hours the second time. At least the dominoes one is much easier and quicker, only took about 20 mins.

Fishing pole cannot be equipped here
Limey77 replied to reddeaddavedemption's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
I had this happen to me and forcing the game to close through the PS menu and relaunching it again fixed the problem completely. -
I used Lindsay Swofford, dragged him all the way from his hideout to the edge of St Denis. Then had to pick him up and put him on the horse as it was freaking people out.

Plus a lot of people don't seem to notice the search function on this or any forum.

"A Fine Night For It"/"***** Folk" - SPOILERS
Limey77 replied to Moosh89's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Yeah, they still come around. Do NOT go investigating if you hear a woman crying in the bayou after dark. You won't enjoy what happens next. -
It's not the win 5 hands by doubling down I was talking about, it's the win 3 hands with 5 cards or more. The five finger fillet is easy, just remember to use R2 to zoom in while they're taking their turn so you know the pattern. And the dominoes isn't too bad, just find a game with only 1 person in and keep playing, if you're going to lose just stand up and exit the game and immediately sit down again. As long as you don't lose the game your streak keeps going. Takes a lot less time than 5 card blackjack one.

Canāt camp, sleep, eat, donate or see my camp
Limey77 replied to Sammysnow's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Just tap it. If you hold it then it opens your journal but if you press it once it should bring up the Log. -

On PS4 if you press left on the d-pad it will show you all ongoing and recently completed task, quest, challenges etc. For some of them you then need to hit R1 to see more info. -
Just redoing this on my second playthrough and now the dealer is actually trolling me. I only need one more to complete it and drew three cards totalling 20, the damned dealer then drew 4 cards so had 6 cards in his hand to land on 21!
