Wow... I did not know that! One of my biggest pet peeves from the first game. Thanks for this information. If the pink dots would disappear on the radar, then this would actually be helpful. With the gamer ID not hovering above my head, but the pink dots still there, they would still know where I am. Remove the dots and my gamertag and I would be good, I'm thrilled to learn this, once the pink dots go away I might have a chance LOL will definitely get back online tomorrow and try this!

This sounds perfect for me! I just want some people to roll with, have fun with, talk and laugh with, and level up in a friendly way! I see a lot of posses that require an application and an interview, weekly meetings and all this other garbage... I just want a simple posse to have fun with and have each other's backs. I'm not interested in trolling or griefing other people, but would like to backup other posse members when they are ambushed, and have back up when I am being ambushed as well. My gamertag is Drummerman74 on the PSN. I would like to submit a request to join this posse! Look forward to hearing back!

@McLawDiz great points, I agree 100%. Everyone who responded had good points actually. Just to put in my two cents in addition to everyone else's suggestions .... (although some may have already been mentioned in this thread), my main concerns are... - Definitely get rid of the pink dots, maybe have an option to only see pink blips If those people are in your Posse or something. - Take the gamer ID logo hovering above my head. Again, maybe make it optional for those who want it, but I personally don't want to hide behind a rock when someone is chasing me down, and they know where I am because it says my username above my head. It's stupid get rid of it. Wouldn't it be nice to ride by someone, and not know if they were an NPC or not? - Stop moving my damn camp. I logged on yesterday, a million miles from my camp. It took me 20 minutes to get there, because I had to work my way around all those groups of three or four people who were evidently going to ambush me as the waypoint went right by them. As a result, I got literally 10 seconds away from arriving, and Cripps moved my Camp from Blackwater somewhere near the swamps. I don't need a babysitter. Let me move my camp where I want and when I want. - Bring in a better bounty system. If someone shoots you, put a hefty bounty on them, and make it available for other players to collect the bounty if they can get there before the law does. And if they don't have the money to pay it, implement a system where they have to spend a certain amount of time in jail or something . And maybe make it impossible for them to see you after you respawn for five minutes or something, so they can't just keep shooting you as soon as you respawn. - As several people mentioned in other posts as well, don't charge $1.50 for a can of beans and only give $1.00 or something for a gold wedding band. It doesn't make sense. Keep the same economy/prices as single player for buying and selling, I think that would be a big Improvement. - Have some missions that are available to do solo... I miss the original RDR where you could choose from a dozen or so gang hideouts and just go do them by yourself. Why are all the missions 2 to 4 players? Again, this is probably just a repeat of several other people's complaints. I have only put about 7 hours into online play, and I have not been shot yet... But I know it's coming. I've just been playing very conservatively, and sticking close to my camp and just doing some hunting and stuff nearby . I mean, what fun is that? Having to stay within 100 yards of your camp because of griefers? I have ridden by several players and just got very very lucky not being shot yet. I literally have not really had very much fun with this, because I'm just worried about getting ambushed. I've done two or three missions and got paid what I consider to be chump change. Not even worth the ammo I used. I know for a fact I have to join a posse which I'm looking for right now. These are just my main concerns... I have a ton of other ones that I won't list, just basic ones as already mentioned, like changing appearances and side missions and stuff would be a lot of fun. Hopefully Rockstar listen to the players opinions and take it into account. Until I find a posse, I don't know that I will be spending much time with the online. I have a feeling everything will be reset when beta is over and the full launch starts. Who knows? LOL

Same here... Yesterday I logged on and not only did they start me a million miles away from my camp, it took me almost 10 minutes to get to it, and when I was about 30 seconds away from arriving, Cripps decided to move my Camp halfway across the map. Why can't we just spawn straight to our camp or at least have the option to?

This is going to seem silly, but the one thing I am hoping for the most, is that I can ride around freely without a big logo above my head. Hiding behind a tree is pointless if the guy stalking you can see you a mile away because my gamertag or ID is hovering above my head. I'm also hoping they have the three different modes like the first game, with friendly, normal, and hardcore. Basically, it would be awesome if real players didn't know if you were an NPC or not. This week keep griefers in check to some extent.

Hey guys, I actually streamed it for a month and it was extremely glitchy for me. I had a wired connection and pretty good speeds for my internet too. If you buy a used PS3, and a red dead disc it would be about the same price as paying the monthly fee for PS now for like 4 months. Also just a heads up... There's no chat available for the PS Now version of RDR. Hope this helps.

Looks like R* finally decided that the only thing left to do was to give me a new code, which they did. The code worked so I got the Warhorse finally. I'm probably about 2 hours or so from finishing, but maybe when I play the story next time I will get some actual use out of it! Hope you had some luck with your problem too.

My wife and I both play this game. One thing we do when we are on long rides with other members of the camp to get to the start of the mission, is try and cut the other people off. It's funny what they say to you. There was one mission, I can't remember which one, (I believe it was one of the first missions in chapter 2), my wife completely cut Dutch off and his horse went arse over tea kettle! She was all like, "Sorry about your luck buddy!"

I believe it is both. At least that's what I heard. I always like the hard copy of a game. Looks good on my gaming shelf LOL Maybe digital is the way to go. I've only bought digital once....Tiger Woods pga TOUR 2014 and had no issues. Mind you it's 2 different companies. EA sports and R*. Something to consider for next time.

Dude, thank you for this information! I had absolutely no idea I was supposed to get TWO CODES! I literally just opened the game, grabbed the code and put it in. I figured it was just one code that did all the bonus materials, tbh. I didn't look at it in it's entirety. I hope you get somewhere with this. I will now let R* I only received one code. Hopefully I can get somewhere with them. Best of luck, I'll update here as well.

HAHAHAHA! Ok, you got me! When I first read what you wrote I thought, "Awww, man, another Captain Obvious!" lol I literally thought you were serious lmao!! Yeah, it's been quite a struggle but hopefully I can get some answers, hopefully something that other people can apply to their problem(s) and help them. I hate seeing people not get what they paid for. I don't care if it's just a new code they give me, or something....show me you WANT me to purchase more R* products. At this point, throwing some cash in my PSN wallet would show me they care. Hopefully they find a fix though, that would be preferable.

Thanks man! So, update: On Nov. 10th, I get a msg from R* saying, "Your case has been escalated to the proper department for further review." Then, on Nov.11th, I get a request from a R* 'Supervisor' asking me to "reboot in Safe Mode, and update the System Software." Fine, whatever...although I did this last week when they asked me to initialize my BRAND NEW PS4. So, I sent them a msg and spoke out...I told them that I have spent literally hundreds of dollars, if not over a grand, on Rockstar products since their earliest releases, including games. dlc's, in game purchases, you name it. I told them that there are tons of people experiencing these problems. I also informed them that unless R* show me that they care about me being a future customer, I don't see myself buying R* products in the future, as I simply do NOT make enough money to purchase things I am not receiving. FFS I'm on Chapter 6 now, and I honestly don't see the Warhorse being useful. Pretty sure you won't be able to use it in MP, so what is the point? However - MUST...KEEP...FIGHTING LOL

I too spent hours trying to get to this horse. I found that if I left the area for a couple of days (in game time) that it would respawn. However, I can only come a certain distance away and it bolts on me anyhow, no matter how slow I walk. I tried crouching too, and even then, I couldn't get even close without it taking off on me. And I as well, followed the tracks that led to nowhere. I am on Chapter 6 now, so I won't bother anymore until I start a new campaign.

I bought the hard copy...do you mean the image on the sheet with the code inside the box? I only got one sheet with one code on it in the box, if that's what you mean.

I know man... They've had me do so many things now, it's too much to list. I've invested so much time now I can't turn back I have to see this through LOL at this point, like I said previously, the horse I have now is upgraded to the point where it's probably better than the war horse. I think now I want to carry it through with tech support so I can help other people. A lot of good people on this forum and hopefully I can help some people get their stuff. Time will tell I guess... I will keep this forum updated when I get a reply from Rockstar Support. Cheers!

After 24 messages back and forth for over a week now, I finally got another reply this morning from Rockstar Games support. Wait, what?..... Mean it took 24 messages back and forth for someone to realize that this was put into the wrong Department? Time will tell I suppose. For now my horse has been upgraded and is super fast and I'm liking it a lot better. Still want my War Horse though LOL

I had the same problem. Except mine had a little picture of a number 2 on it. It happened for about an hour of gameplay time for me, and all of a sudden I was able to go back in and do all my business in the Stables. Try waiting it out a little longer hopefully that will be what happens for you.

You're right, at this point it's principal. My horse is fast, at least the stats say so, mind you I have nothing to measure it against. I'm all about getting places quick. I'm at max bonding and it's getting the job done. Mine as well keep 'Dummy', (my horse's name) and just finish the story line, and wait for MP. Pretty sure you can't use the Warhorse in MP anyhow, but I might be wrong. I'm about to start Chapter 4. Mine as well ride on. Like I said, Dummy isn't all that bad. He kinda grows on you lol Maybe I'll change his name to Loyal.

lol Yeah for sure! Actually all the other techs except that one simpleton had suggestions that made SOME sense to me. Even the scan of my receipt was acceptable. I think at this point I mine as well just go find the white arabian or just buy a better horse. The thoroughbred is getting the job done but I would still like a better horse. Would like the one I paid for, but I doubt it will happen at this point and I've wasted too much time on it. You win R*. 🏆 Enjoy my $40. But don't expect me to ever buy any bonus material for any future games, if I spend any money on R* stuff ever, that is.
