  1. I was assuming it meant that their weapon was pulled out but that doesn't make much sense because I only ever see one on a map at one time.
  2. Yeah, I kind of figured that but thought I would ask around LOL Atleast we don't need two separate internet connections. Just hope it doesn't lag. I guess one person will be wired and one will be using Wi-Fi. Anyhow, thanks for the info!
  3. So, I have two PS4s, and with my wife being a new avid RDRO player, we would like to roll together ...Do I need two different PS Plus accounts to play off the same internet connection? I know I need a second copy of the game obviously, but wasn't sure if we need a second PS Plus account?
  4. Same here... or even worse they spawn you in New Austin on top of a cliff, and put my camp in Lemoyne. And on a really bad day I'll be surrounded by pink blips at the same time. If I had one wish for the camp, it would be just to have the luxury of being spawned in the camp, like GTAO where they spawn you in your apartment if you want.
  5. I'm going with team cold... I live in West Michigan, but I am originally from Canada, moved here in 2016. Mind you Michigan is competitive with areas of Canada when it comes to Winter. I remember times in Canada when it was so cold I couldn't open my car door LOL I love the summer, but when it gets to be 90 degrees and 100 degrees outside, especially with humidity... There's only so many clothes you can take off before the cops come LOL I get high anxiety if I get too hot or thirsty. When it's super hot outside in the summer I usually have a cooler with a dozen bottles of water in the trunk. We've had a foot of snow over the last two days and it hasn't stopped yet, and I'm out there going for a walk enjoying the cold as it reminds me of home LOL
  6. Makes sense I guess, but I thought other players couldn't shoot you unless you had actually activated the cut scene to start the mission. As far as his dot on the map goes, it's there, but very very faint, which is a little odd. I mean, you're probably right, but I still think it's funny how it looked like a blind man shooting. I had a good laugh if anything. I did that the other day, while bringing back a wagon on a stranger mission, there was a player just sitting there right at the end of my trail where I was supposed to drop the wagon...he started shooting but he was aiming in the other direction, but I started shooting anyhow as I don't take chances. I didn't kill him, but I felt bad after I realized he was just shooting at birds. I kinda apologized by saying "Oops, sorry dude, I shot you were trying to get my wagon", and he didn't fire back at me he just rode off. You're right though, accidents happen sometimes.
  7. So the other day I'm roaming around doing my thing solo, when an apparent griefer shows up. I'm not overly concerned anymore about trolls/griefers as I refuse to let them intimidate or ruin my game play. I haven't had too many altercations with them as I generally stick to areas of the map that are not busy, or ride with a few friends I have met on here. Well, I thought this particular attempt at griefing was pretty funny. Truly a failure! Reminds me of the end of the first Dumb and Dumber movie when Lloyd says to Harry, "Harry, you're alive! And you're a terrible shot!"
  8. So, here's something interesting....shortly after your comment to my post, I decided to replay a story mission, and I noticed them show up on the left side of the weapon wheel, under the horse tab. No problem, guess it worked itself out. Then after the mission I decided to feed the horse some oatcakes. But they were gone again!? So I started another mission and there they were. Must be some type of glitch or something because now, they ONLY show up there while doing a mission. Super weird!
  9. Yeah man, something's totally wrong LOL... I mean I'll figure it out, I'll tinker around and see what I can figure out just thought maybe someone on here would know. I'll definitely let you know what I figure out
  10. I do use hay as well quite often. I hold in L1, (while sitting on my horse, at a dead stop), go over to the horse tab, and click L2 to go through the entire list but the oatcakes just don't appear. For that matter the hay doesn't either. All I have is herbs and vegetables. I just wish I knew how to take something from my satchel and make it available in the weapon wheel. And it's just odd because when my wife plays, the oatcakes are in the weapon wheel under the horse tab for her. She feeds her horse while sitting on the horse all the time. Wasn't a problem in storyline but it is now LOL Anyhow, I do appreciate your input.
  11. So, I'm trying to find a way to get the oatcakes into my weapon wheel, under the horse tab. I have to get off my horse to feed him oatcakes. I have a ton of them, and I just can't seem to feed him oatcakes because they don't show up. I have to get off my horse to do it. Anybody know the trick?
  12. Both my wife and I noticed the rate of fire change while playing over the weekend. At first we thought it was the controller, so we switched controllers, then I started playing and noticed it too. Not sure what's up with that but all of a sudden 4 NPCs attack me and I can't shoot them as fast as I could before. Haven't seen a change in the animals much myself, except for one incident... I was riding by Emerald Ranch and went up the hill, and I could hear what was clearly a bear but couldn't see him and no red dot on the minimap. Sure hope this gets fixed quickly!
  13. Yeah it will be a while before I get a better horse... Gives me something to look forward to at least LOL usually I do jump off my horse and pull out my gun, I can't outrun the Bears and cougars LOL in the first Red Dead you could outrun a bear easily. Even when I do that I usually get taken out
  14. So, I am only level 14 or so, and although I try and calm my horse as much as I can when a dangerous animal is around, I have to either ride off and miss my opportunity to make the kill, or get bucked off and get mauled by a cougar or a bear. I have a thoroughbread and it seems that he gets scared when a caterpillar walks by. Is there a better horse I can unlock in the future that doesn't freak out as much?
  15. That's exactly how you get it, you have to get to the treasure chest to find the iron helmet. Which is exactly why I don't play GR anymore. I tried over 10 times and although I am on a horse and have a weapon within 12-15 seconds, (I only take the horse to get to the guns faster, then I jump off) , 8 times now someone has shot me immediately...and low and behold, they are wearing a mask and 3 times they managed to get the mask, a bow, and an arrow with an explosive all in about 15 seconds. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but clearly some people have the upper hand from the getgo.
  16. Muting everyone is the first thing I do now when I get online. Tired of internet tough guys screaming in my ear about how they'd 'kick your ass' IRL and so on. A lot of it is 10 year olds who clearly aren't mature enough to play this game made for adults. Albeit I've heard some immature adults do the same thing. I don't even hook up the mic anymore unless I join a private chat party.
  17. Thanks for your reply. I've been doing all that since I started online. Once I spawn, I generally grab my horse, and move my camp to an area (if possible) where there is very few to no other players. From there I just do missions and hunting and what not in that area until it gets populated with other players. I haven't really ran into a ton of griefing, due mostly to my strategy. Sure I've been shot a few times, but mostly cowardly snipers from across the lake, or rooftops like you mentioned. There are always times here and there where you need to go somewhere and have to go around just in case the blips are griefers. I avoid St. Denis like the plague...it always seems to be heavily populated. My wife (who wasn't a gamer until 6 months ago, thanks to me lol) started online on the weekend, and I had her using the same strategy. She's now up to level 11 which is a good start. Someone chased her down the other day and when she shot at him, the bullet went right through, and his horse ran right through hers before he shot her. He was ghosting. Also, I am on PS4 as well otherwise I would love to join your posse, as I don't have anyone to roll with. I have a few people I met and have played with a few times, but they are higher levels and while I appreciated them inviting me, I feel I am slowing them down as my horse can't keep up riding to missions and my weapon inventory is limited. I am looking for an actual posse with lots of members but have had no luck with anyone really replying back. I have 2 PS4's and as soon as I get a new HD in the old one, my wife and I can play online together. I am just not sure how to hook it up. I know I will need another copy of the game obviously, but I also think that if we are playing off the same internet connection I would need 2 PSPLUS accounts. She would love to have someone to roll with too, for when I'm not playing, but she is too shy to friend people. I guess that's a lesson for her for another day lol
  18. Yes, once the griefing is fixed I will dive right in for sure. I know there is an update coming soon, which will (from what I read) implement a system where the griefers have a much larger pink blip on the map, and a bounty that has to be paid in a certain amount of time, and also a system where other players only appear on the map if they are a certain distance away from you. Also, if the fine is not paid on time, NPC bounty hunters will be looking for you. I am anxious to see how well this will work. I think it will be great, or at least I am hoping lol Also private servers would be nice
  19. I am not great at this game either, granted I haven't played much due to the server kicking me constantly and not having anyone to roll with. I also fear going into any town with a bunch of people waiting around the towns. I have a couple friends I met on here that I play with from the UK who are really awesome to play with, but I have a hard time keeping up being a level 8 and not having a lot of fire power at this point. I go on for about 3-4 hours a week...waiting for the beta to finish before I really dive into it. Anxious for the update R* mentioned to fix the griefing.
  20. It was just standing there. Also, it is so ironic that you replied because when I replied to @Vaderspupil I was referring to a method mentioned in one of your posts I read literally a few mins before lol Also good information knowing you can raise the flag from another area of the camp. Will definitely be using that, however only against griefers
  21. Thanks for this info. I haven't played online a whole lot since finishing the story mode. I guess in the future I will set it the way you mentioned. While I'm at it I mine as well stand back, lower the white flag, shoot the griefer(s) and then raise it quickly again. A taste of their own medicine lol I wish it was like GTAO where nobody can come into your apt unless invited.
  22. So, the other day I decide to go solo and do some hunting near my camp. With pink dots everywhere I like to stay close to the camp. Well, 2 griefers come by and start shooting at me while in my camp. No problem, I know that they can't kill me. However....one of them decides to walk in and get on my horse. I thought maybe the white flag was down, but it was up. He takes off to Blackwater with the other tool he was riding with, but he had MY horse! I thought we were safe in the camp with the white flag up. Does this not include horses? I mean I whistled and another one came, but I am confused.
  23. Hi, After attempting to join a few posses, with no response, I am hoping that someone will read this and invite me to join their posse. I am looking for an honorable posse that does not grief. A posse that likes to be a team and level up together, ride together and have fun. However, I would like a posse that I can count on for backup when needed, as I would be wiling to come to the aid and back up any posse member when they need me to. As far as experience, I was legendary 5 times over in the first RDR, and was very highly skilled. I like to think I hold my own in the new one too, finishing the story line twice and starting to level up online as well. I am not looking for a hardcore posse where you have to fill out an application, attend meetings, offer a DNA sample and blah blah blah. Just an invite to a descent posse so I have someone to ride with. I am on the PS4, and my gamertag is Drummerman74. Feel free to send me an invite on the PSN, or message me on here. I look forward to hearing from anyone who would like new members. Cheers!
  24. My homemade pizza... This one's a meat lovers. Pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon.
  25. For me probably... RDR (PS4) RDR2 (PS4... I haven't decided if I like it better than the first one yet, so those two are basically tide right now) DRAGON WARRIOR 3 (NES)
