@SimonTemplar I understand what your getting at. I just also understand why you might be shot, or the whole ‘clear a path’ mentality. And as I’ve said before, if you feel like going after the wagon, knock yourself out. I also personally agree it’s usually not a good idea to bring your wagon close to others... but Some of the river crossings leave you little choice while in a wagon... As for merely pointing your gun, there are many who take that as just as much invitation to come attack you as getting shot. But it is a delivery mission you can try to stop, so by all means, go and stop it if you want, even if you had no intentions to... and as @Freakshow9191 just mentioned, people are just charging through while doing these runs... they’re of likely to look too closely into you. Lead rider likely just shoots you so the wagon can pass without risking an attack, and maybe someone drops back a little to make a buffer incase you respawn and try to come after them.... but chances are they’ll be long gone by the time you go back to your fishing spot.

Well I’ve gave examples before... But Bottom line, if you have some kind of purpose to killing/harassing someone it’s legitimate. If your going around putting bullets into people for no apparent reason, your just being a di*k...

Wow... so much hate. You were in the wrong place ant the wrong time and ate a bullet from som delivery guys... fair enough. You then proceeded to kill them all single handily, bravo, and again fair enough... what I don’t get, why are you coming here kicking and screaming and crying foul? I just don’t see a need for it. FYI: Just ‘standing to the side’ is a common ploy used by people to then ambush people from behind while they have their guard down. If you don’t want to be shot, don’t just stand aside... get the hell out of the way. For the record, I wasn’t part of that posse. But I do think by the sound of it what they did was fair play. Your retaliation was fair play. You should just leave it at that.

Well, the huge amount of feathers donated to your camp does raise some flags... it’s likely your possie member was hacking/glitching to give you a bonus and it was all found out... as for the gold bars, I really can’t say. I don’t see them taking things you’ve purchased with real money... but the ho knows? Maybe someone else can give a proper answer.

Yeah... I see absolutely no reason not to have a radar while fishing... but it is what it is, so if you happen to be fishing too close to a Ford while a wagon delivery rolls through, you’ll likely be shot.

Honestly, this is the first time ever I’ve heard of someone being banned for ‘no reason’... not that I’m calling you a liar per say... but I highly doubt you were randomly selected for a banning. Perhaps you did something without realizing it was against the TOS? Or maybe you were excessively swearing and being vulgar in some way on the mic that someone took offence to and reported? There has got to be something even if you don’t remember or it seemed inconsequential to you...

Now that I think of it.... I had some yellow spots from the collector for ages before I got around to it... I never tried to open a treasure map in that time though (I have since without issue).

The only thing I can think of is maybe if you are trying to open them while in some kind of mission... or somehow your trying to open them wrong?

Maybe so... But also as mentioned before, People have been known to use the ‘I’m just standing here minding my own business’ ploy only to shoot you in the back of the head as you pass...

I think the different lobby options are a ways off, if they ever come. As it is, Rockstar is being (painfully) slow with what they add to the game... I think this is deliberate (if frustrating). I think maybe they learned some lessons from their efforts in GTA and want to be a little more careful and deliberate in how they shape and grow RDR. This can be a good thing in the long game, if annoying in the short term (between updates). I can be patient for the content updates myself if it means in two years time I’m not being dive bombed by flying, dynamite shitting unicorns while trying to make my delivery (or maybe herding my cattle to the market?) because of poorly thought out, hastily added and unbalancing content... But this is all speculation on my part based on observations so far and nothing else...

I find it amusing. We keep having this same conversation and it always goes the same way... There is a griefing problem... No there isn’t... anyone who dares Attack another player is a griefer... but the game allows this or that... but I don’t want that... insert a big list of options to protect yourself... But I shouldn’t have to protect myself... discussion added to griefer thread to die for a few mor weeks. PS: I know I recently gave @Netnow66 a bit of a hard time... but I think the discussions are usually pretty civilized around here, disagreements or not...

Personally, I have yet to even turn on defensive mode. I frequently run long deliveries solo. I act like a drunken eccentric ass when I’m in populated towns. I wander i to people’s camps, help myself to beer and stretch out by the fire while they’re there without a word of explanation. I don’t go out of my way to avoid anyone, whatever colour their dot is. Despite going out of my to NOT take measures to avoid problems, I very rarely get shot at. It’s been like this ever since the proximity blip update. Before that, it was much more common, it still far from what I’d call a problem. Just the odd roaming group of clowns chasing down the nearest blip and griefing.

Me too... I think it started dying off around the time proximity blips became a thing. I’ve been shot once or twice since the summer update, and chased and lassoed once (I think the latter was because someone wanted the cougar off my horse, which is OK in my book. Only they should have shot me, as I was able to put them both down with my LeMatte shotgun round and make it to camp). the other times I’ve been shot at/shot dead I happened to wander right into the middle of some kind of shootout. I wasn’t chased or harassed beyond the initial incident.

Well, people are going to do what people are going to do. Wether or not I personally find it distasteful to do it myself isn’t going to change anything... But if I happen to attack your long delivery I don’t deserve to be reported, called a griefer, bully or whatever other name you come up with to make me sound like some kind of evil ass just because someone doesn’t like the way the game is. (I would deserve to be shot, fought, gruesomely knifed, lassoed, hogtied, thrown off a bridge)...

Another thing I’d like to see is five card draw... I’m so tired of seeing Texas Hold’em where’ve I look these days...

For defending... especially solo... Whistle your horse while driving the card. Don’t be afraid to temporarily abandon your wagon for the faster more maneuverable horse (which also happens to hold your other firearms) to deal with a threat.... If someone gets on your wagon you can always chase him down with the advantage while on your horse. Also, don’t follow the yellow line route... too predictable. Cross open ground, try to avoid choke points (such as long bridges, narrow River fords, canyons etc.

Honestly, I personally haven’t found animal spawns to be an issue for some time now... Camps can be annoying, but I can generally get one set up somewhere every time, even if it’s not exactly where I want it. Nothing I feel I need to resort to glitching to correct myself. I do hope Rockstar gets things ironed out pretty soon though so it is less of a headache. As for the PvP elements... well, it is a cowboy game... old timey gunfights with revolvers and lever guns are kind of a staple of the genre... I expect my wagons to be stolen, Cattle to be rustled, my bounties to be collected etc. I also expect to be afforded the opportunity to play either side of the spectrum if I choose. No sense playing a good guy without any bad guys....

....I suddenly have the urge to buy a Tennessee Walker and call it ‘Tennessee Stud’... Because... The Tennessee stud was long and lean, the colour of the sun and his eyes were green, he had the spirit and he had the blood, there ain’t ever been a horse like the Tennessee stud....

I think @Freakshow9191 is into something. I too have noticed that the surprise instant death screen gives me the press charges... But not always if there was a gunfight first...
