  1. Yeah, I know... I'm just impatient, I'm totally not into the whole camp life thing, if they don't give me properties I want to at least have the option to stay at the hotel in Valentine, lol!
  2. I was really surprised when I saw that there would be a December update for RDO. I don't mind tho, of course. (I'd love for them to finally introduce properties!)
  3. Yeah I don't understand why they made the Arabian horses THAT small. They're cute tho, I like 'em, especially my dear Black Arabian. And there just aren't enough black horses in the game that come with excellent stats. If only there was a black Turkoman... if only! It's not like riding on a donkey tho... there's a donkey at Emerald Ranch sometimes IIRC, try that one out - you'll see it's different, lol!
  4. Yeah, the Black Arabian becomes available there at around Chapter 4 I think.
  5. I've done two playthroughs of story mode and both times I kept the huge black Shire horse Arthur gets from Hosea at the beginning of the game. I'm usually a big fan of the Black Arabian but I love the Shire horses almost as much. Every other horse looks like a pony compared to them, haha.
  6. Yeah, the weapons locker comes with the Trader role/camp. Very useful. But I'd still also like to sell most of my guns in story mode AND multiplayer - they're not getting any better in that weapons locker. lol
  7. I'm not into the Western genre at all and I was hesitant to get RDR II (never played RDR). But I'm really glad I got it, it has become one of my favorite games. Despite the genre.
  8. I can definitely understand wanting to be left alone. If I could use my character in story mode AND have all the multiplayer game options available to me (clothes, weapons, the roles, horses, etc) I would NEVER leave Story Mode. I don't want to interact or run into other players but I DO like having my own character. (Which is why I adore GTA's Invite Only function, I always play in Invite Only lobbies except when I have Nightclub selling missions.) And I just loathe it when people can't leave me alone and shoot at me for no reason whatsoever. I change servers immediately, yes, but it's still annoying and I could SO do without it.
  9. It depends on which Arabian you want - the White Arabian can be purchased with money (I believe it's $850 or something), the Black Arabian only with gold.
  10. You're welcome! I believe the White Arabian has slightly lower stats than the Black Arabian, just like it is in single player, but I've spent a lot of time with both horses, and you don't really notice the difference much in RDO. Temperament-wise they're both pretty much the same as well. And, as I mentioned before, the trick to not have the Arabian chase off into the distance once you dismount near an alligator or something is to a) try to shoot all alligators in sight - lol - and b) whistle immediately when you dismount so that, even if he runs, he comes right back and c) calm him IMMEDIATELY when you see wolves or cougars - before you even draw your gun, calm the horse and he won't buck you (he WILL buck you if you let the predators come too close, of course, but then, so does the Turkoman, there's really not much of a difference here in my experience). Have fun with your new horse buddy, and let me know how it goes!
  11. Mine is a screencap I took of my RDO character and his beloved Black Arabian horse.
  12. I bought a Shire horse yesterday (I know, I'm the resident Black Arabian fan but the Shire was my favorite from single player and I decided I needed one) and it took me almost no time to level up to Horse Bonding Level 4. I remember how it took me AGES to do that with all my other horses, including the (Black) American Standardbred, so this can't be a "the horse isn't a high stats horse and that's why doesn't take as long to bond" issue. I didn't do anything differently. Has anyone else noticed this? Did R* do something in the latest update to speed up the horse bonding process?
  13. I have a Kladruber as well and he's the most patient horse and I love taking him on a little tour around the map when I do my collector stuff, but he's no match for the Arabian when it comes to speed and agility. Still tho, it's not a bad horse to buy at all. The Black Arabian has a few quirks but honestly, I've spent a lot of time with mine now and he hardly ever bucks me or runs off scared. He's a good little horse. (He IS smaller than other horses, not gonna lie, but hey, not every horse can be a Shire. lol) Just be patient with yours if you decide to buy one - they do really achieve their best and most reliable behavior when fully bonded.
  14. I had that recently as well - but I was doing a full wagon delivery for the first time (I tend to sell way before I've reached a full delivery wagon) and simply assumed that was why there were more enemies than usual...? idk
  15. It took me an hour to find an alligator today. The Bayou region is a like a ghost town. I've now basically stopped playing as a Trader, I can't set up my camp anymore anyway AND there are almost zero animals. (I do try to change servers but it's no use, I always end up in a session with 20 people.) So yeah. It's definitely NOT getting any better with the animal spawns - and I don't think I'm the only one who's massively annoyed by this by now. If I can find animals (it's never more than a rabbit and maybe a deer) I just sell the pelts to the butcher.
  16. Yeah, I watched it a few days ago. I'm still not sure what to think. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't really... necessary, I guess? I did love the flashback scenes tho. Catered very much to my BB nostalgia, heh.
  17. I think they've named a finite number of seasons but I can't remember what that was... but the show has to come to an end sooner rather than later because it's starting to line up with Breaking Bad more and more, hehe. I wasn't sold on the idea of a Saul spin-off at first (I would have preferred a Gus Fring spin-off, he was one of my faves) but the first season turned out to be so good that I was hooked. It's really a quirky and well-written show, and they absolutely do the character justice.
  18. I'm kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop (I mean the roles and the Outlaw Pass were really too easy to level up)... like, them introducing properties but a little shed somewhere in the middle of nowhere costs 5,000 gold bars and a house in Saint Denis costs 50,000 gold bars or something. lol
  19. Hi Saul (a fellow Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul fan?) - welcome to the forums! Have fun with the PC version of RDRII!
  20. I had the chestnut Arabian for quite a while as well, I was thrilled when I discovered that I as a PS4 player got one for free - I mean you don't get an Arabian horse for free every day. The stats may not be as "spectacular" as the Black (or even White) Arabian's, but the chestnut is a solid horse nonetheless, and it helps you tremendously if you're a low-level player. (At least it helped ME a lot when I was one.) So yeah, I can definitely understand why you wouldn't want another horse!
  21. @Aval0n I also wish Defensive Mode was more like GTA's passive mode. For some griefers it only seems to be an addtional challenge and they're after you even more forcefully. I now always try to stay away from pretty much all other players, as soon as I see a dot on the mini map I change directions until it's no longer there. If I notice it moving towards me I switch sessions immediately because experience tells me this ain't gonna end well because Defensive Mode really doesn't help at all if someone really wants to put their griefing skills to the test. Another thing I do: I always try to load into the game in an area where I don't want to remain. For example, if I know that the Daily Challenges require of me to be around Valentine/Cumberland Forest, I load into New Austin - which leads to the game putting me into a New Austin lobby with LOTS of players because R* mistakenly assumes I want to interact with other players. I then quickly go to Tumbleweed or Armadillo and fast travel to Valentine, which is then always empty because most players will be in New Austin. This trick has worked wonders for me. Sure the lobby then fills up at some point again, unfortunately, but it does offer some "alone time" for a little while.
  22. I "love" it when I see the "you have received an item from R*" message and the game never tells me what it is or where to find it. I've given up looking for the stuff, to be honest. If it's not a gift that's being sent to me through the post office, I ignore it. So chances are you HAVE received something, @Aval0n - but it's just anyone's guess what it is. I've had stuff show up randomly in my wardrobe after a few days and then I remembered the message and am like "ah yeah so that must have been what that one was all about".
  23. I play only in defensive mode and since people find it more difficult now to shoot at me, their latest course of action is to pull me off my horse as soon as they spot me in a town (which results in them appearing as a red dot, they don't shoot at me right away then, I guess they're waiting for me to react in some way???). I guess that's the "town version" of getting hogtied? I did think the whole hogtie-other-players nonsense was no longer possible in defensive mode but no one has tried that on me ever since the update that introduced defensive mode, so I can't say for sure...? But I can say people can still pull me off my horse, which I find incredibly annoying. Or they just shoot my horse because it's a bigger target. I just always switch sessions immediately, I can't be bothered with griefers, but it's still annoying that they can do all that despite you giving off a clear signal of "do not bother me and I will not bother you" by being in defensive mode.
  24. I do believe you get to keep the stuff you store in your hunting wagon even after you got disconnected. At least that's what I heard (I somehow never use mine).
  25. I always have one out of two dilemmas: I either can't get my camp to spawn and have to ride around with zillions of animal pelts and whatnot OR I can get it to spawn but then the animals disappear and Cripps whines at me that he doesn't have any materials to work with. I swear if I didn't know better I'd claim the game is trolling me. lol
