  1. Also, when others would get online and see the persistent was active, they would just join from online menu and after a couple of hours the gang was back together. Now they will get online, but remain solo until cripps is finished then message for an escort. Yeah, we're pulling in major cash, but....sometimes it doesn't seem worth what we've lost.
  2. No, pretty consistent group. But afterwards the delivery it's always "So and so" has left "posse" "So and so" has left "posse" "So and so" has left "posse" Me: come back let's raise some hell! Them : "cripps is at 78 goods, I gotta get them done" Yes, the money's nice, and there are a lot of benefits. But, like I said we're just not rolling together as much as we used to.
  3. I remember the good ol days. Before the "roles" update. When we would posse up, riding all over the map together, hitting a variety of stranger missions, getting into adventures together. Now...it seems like we only "posse up" for as long as it takes to do wagon escorts. Then everyone is quick to leave the posse so they can restart their camp and get Cripps back to work. Sure, occasionally we posse up to do a legendary bounty, or help each other fill materials, but it's mostly escorts. Another hurdle seems to be the difficulty of setting camps back up afterwards, and disconnects that seem to rise when people are jumping in and out, tents are in and out of posse camps and such. The title is a little dramatic, but I hope you get my point. If only Cripps would work when I'm gone, I could get back to the good ol days.
  4. Cosmo: as the game saw it, a defensive player dealt damage first, kicked you out of defensive. Had he damaged you in any way you could have remained in defensive and killed him several times (until he turned blue) before losing defensive protection. When I used to play in defensive and someone started shooting at me for no reason. I would run up close just to make sure they actually hit me. Then......it's payback time.
  5. What's your posse name? Planning on delivering a wagon Soon? Asking for a friend...😜
  6. The unwritten bonus we do on a legendary bounty: When turning into a police station, we take them to the most distant station, For example, we turned wolfman into the sheriff in tumbleweed. And we did make more money. We tested it when we did the same level bounty, the first using my posse, the second time using his. I as posse leader made $61 turning him Into the nearest spot. When we used my friends posse, the posse leader made $85 turning in at tumbleweed. Now even though there is no timer, I have heard talk that the longer you take some are making more money. So, I'm not completely sure if it's DISTANCE traveled, or the TIME it takes traveling the further distances that's resulting in the higher payouts. But there is some unwritten rule affecting payouts we have found in legendaries.
  7. I had some similar thoughts after maxing all roles and outlaw pass in a couple of weeks. I wasn't rushing, just playing my regular pace. It doesn't bother me though. Kind of nice just getting everything unlocked quickly, then just get back to playing the game with all the new stuff.
  8. Back in January I would have thought no way will they introduce hammers as weapons. Lol. Also from January, we ended up with bolos and lamat as well.
  9. Are we talking legendary bounties, because I can see that, you go to a cut scene and end up dropping into a server that doesn't have others doing the same bounty. But regular bounties, for example, say there's a bunch of people shooting each other in valentine, and I walk up to the bounty board and select a mission, when I leave and the bounty starts, the same people are still there shooting each other. I don't appear to have switched servers.
  10. How do I glitch a solo lobby? I've had it happen before but can't repeat it consistently.
  11. Makes sense, I guess I've never noticed before that I couldn't lock on as I've never aimed at and tried to shoot an innocent player while in defensive.
  12. Definitely. If I'm being griefed, the horse takes the first shell. If I'm attacking a trader wagon, escort horses are the first to go. That being said, when the attack is over and the situation presents itself where I can revive their horse, I will, even if I get shot trying to do it.
  13. Yeah, rockstar couldn't care less. And this was my first disconnect loss. I didn't even bother turning that one in. The ones that really get me most is the wagon spawning under the map, which is a complete rockstar bug. I clipped video, sent pics, turned in tickets. They don't care. Who would have thought, rockstar is the biggest obstacle to overcome in the trader role.
  14. Went to do another large delivery and lost another wagon due to a disconnect. Been on for 30 minutes, no issues. Started mission, Halfway through and DC. So I lost 1: "mission over" early during delivery for no reason. Lost it all. 2-4: wagon spawned under the map. Lost it all 5: Disconnect 5 minutes into it. Lost it all. Getting a little ridiculous. Should I even bother taking my time filling another? I would have rather lost them to a player, at least then it would have been my fault. I've lost one that way and I wasn't upset about it at all. I was in control, rolled the dice and lost. But these bugs and weird things just plain suck.
  15. I read those rules from rockstar Kean posted. One thing it said was that you can't lock on to someone in defensive. That hasn't been my experience with defensive. If they shoot and hit me first, I remain in defensive, they turn red and I have always been able to auto aim on them, Take them out and go about my business.
  16. Everyone on this game loves their horses. What are their names? Its usually an interesting variety. Mine are 1: Scapper / black Arabian 2: Tyker / Criollo 3: Overdue / mft 4: Zuul / Breton 5: Snickers / kladruber
  17. Probably playing it safe. I take no chances when delivering. If someone is INSIDE our mini map, and they're not turning around and headed away...then probably gonna light em up. I assume anyone nearby is thinking about it. Or keeping tabs on our location and guiding their posse in. Hat tip or not. How many times have you rode past someone thinking it's all good just to get shot in the back? I would rather risk charges being pressed instead of losing $625. Also, they could have been in party chat at the time, they would have never heard your game chat. Deliveries require party chat. Don't want the whole server knowing your game plan. Lastly: since you decided to use precious E-rounds to exact revenge. I have a suggestion. Instead of waiting for them to finish, put one round in the delivery wagons horse. Force them to hump the supplies in on horseback, causing delays and increasing their exposure time, and possibly picking off a straggler, stealing their bag and reducing their profit and gaining materials for yourself.
  18. If you were low hostility (blue dot) and they shot and hit you first, it will immediately kick them out of defensive. Either you were hostile, shot first and hit them, or there was a glitch.
  19. You should buy another horse as a backup, and carry insurance on them. I have my favorite original companion too, but a backup that's better than scrawny nag, is a must.
  20. We tested defensive mode damage reduction the other day. My character in defensive mode took 4 headshots point blank from a Springfield before it killed him. Also avalon, keep fishing, get your health to 100%. That will help a ton. Defensive, 100% health, situational awareness, and you'll be good to go.
  21. Eagles: I've lost 4 full trader wagons now due to rockstar glitches. Spawning under map 3 times, and a "mission over" for no reason another. Turned in all 4 incidents and nothing has happened. They don't seem to care. When you need to turn in a bounty to the bounty wagon driver, I wish they would allow a grayed out safe zone around it. I've had several instances while waiting for the last 30 seconds where a player rides up and starts shooting. Have to turn in early. They allow you a safe zone while standing in front of the police station with your bounty. Not sure why the wagon drop off missions are different.
  22. Shes' in the wagon, names Becky😜 Defensive: pre F.P update, I spent 99% of my time in defensive. Post update: 0% in defensive. I wanna see those trader wagons.
  23. LOL, I'm definitely gonna do that next session. Maybe I'll drop off a cougar, and drink some beer.
  24. Words to live by. I expect everyone I see on the map wants to shoot me. I always start my day off hunting at the Cholla cougar spawn. I always hunt one extra and throw on the back of my horse. And ride with it for the rest of the session, and then when I have a positive encounter with someone I give them the cougar. Kind of a "thanks for not being a jerk" comment.
  25. They didn't kill you? Surprised. Sounds like a few people just screwing around. Was probably the level 9. I wouldn't classify as griefing as they didn't kill or continue to harass after you broke free and rode off. I probably would have just rode off as well. Since they were at the camp. No need to delay my game for 20 minutes waiting for them to leave. Edit: second part of your question: No I don't do it, but I see plenty who do. Some people see it as a shooting and killing only game, and if you're not shooting and killing then why play? ANY dot that shows up, and off they go, picking a fight. We've got one posse member that is like that. when he can't find a random to fight he comes after us with his hammer. (We keep friendly fire on for realism).
