What are the Maggie Fike Missions?
Freakshow9191 replied to AnnieGetURGuns's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Bitter means to the bitter end Certainty if death and taxes Where there's smoke there's firewater Come hell come high water Blood is thicker than shine. Can't remember the proper order though. I can say that after you complete them, the bottom one will say "replay story missions". So is it possible you have failed the last one you tried? Or is this more a glitch? Or are you trying to do them too close together? There is a cool down period between story missions. Edit: saw where you said you died a lot more than twice. So chances are you just didn't "complete" the mission. (bring some tonics with you, the NPCs in story hit hard) -
After reading this thread I did have one little question. What can that player be reported for? Not defending the player, or saying its not a jerk move, but, what violation did this person commit?

I have the refined (it was cheaper) but my posse mate has the floral. I really like it due to the blue lit glass behind the bar. Kind of gives the whole bar a nice blue glow.
-
Well, sorry to hear I'm not the only one with these problems. Hopefully it gets worked out soon. I'm gonna keep grinding away, just because I want the level 20 shine horse. Don't need it, just want it.

Well, your highness, if you would post something relevant, I'm sure you'll get a response in a timely fashion.

I got tons of people in the shack now that strong moonshine is being made. Last night my French cook was walking around the bar, talking to patrons, telling them to try the new brews. There was an NPC (that looked like my character) stirring the mash barrel while frenchy was walking around the bar.

Drive wagons in CINEMATIC view autopilot mode.
Freakshow9191 replied to Darconios's topic in Red Dead Online
Yeah, gotta have your weapon out and aiming to autopath your wagon. But you gotta keep your weapon pointed down otherwise every NPC you pass will start a fight thinking you're aiming at them. But like Hickok says, in trader deliveries, I take a lot of shortcuts and train tracks. Better to go a non traditional route. -
Even though they "fixed" animal spawns, they still are hard to find. 2 options. 1: Research and use sleeping cougar spawns. Once you figure out how to do it, you can pull in 5 cougars in your wagon in about 20 minutes. At 16.88 materials for a perfect they fill your bar quick. I haven't "hunted" for random animals since becoming a trader with over 100 deliveries. 2: start a legendary bounty, then forget about the bounty and just go hunting. When your wagon is full, just kill yourself several times then cancel the bounty. If you don't have a bounty license there are other options, but getting a solo server is less guaranteed.

I'm doing flavored high quality shine right now and the orders are in the $244 ballpark depending on the buyer. It takes 1 hour to produce. Minus $30 for the mash. Do a bootlegger mission before making your mash and it will cost $30 instead of 50. Appears I have to do it everytime to get the lower price. So, roughly $200 profit in a little over an hour. It takes Cripps slightly more than 3 hours to produce $625 worth of goods as a trader. So you're looking at similar profit for moonshining, but requiring 3 missions, and 3 (shorter, less risky) deliveries.

I thought I would get some revenue generated by all the "patrons" in my bar. Nope, after upgrading bar, making good shine, and hiring a band, nothing. Just a bunch of freeloaders. Honestly you could save yourself thousands by not even expanding your shack. It's neat to have a drunk slap fight with your posse, but really....how many times are you gonna do that? The novelty wore off after one time. The bar should generate something...anything...

Eagle eye. Maps. Dig sites will show up like all other collectibles with the yellow markers while in eagle eye/ collector binoculars. Dig sites that won't show up with eagle eye are the ones you need a metal detector to find.

It seems to be a significant problem. I even had this happen. Had a delivery ready, completely finished. but wanted a friend to see the delivery, so I waited about an hour, logged off. Logged back in an hour later with my friend, went into the shack, and poof..all gone. I had it reset back to zero probably about 7 times this weekend.

I'm hoping as soon as you are able to make the strong moonshine it will become profitable. I figure these small weak batches that don't profit much (after buying mash and supplies) are just a way for us to pay our dues, so to speak. I'm thinking by moonshine level 10 we should be making good profit. I'm at 8 now. So we'll find out soon.
-
Several times now, I've almost had a moonshine delivery ready, and I come back and its back to zero. I have to start it all over again. It seems that I can't do anything (as in do a story mission, or bounty) in the 45 minutes (average shine) it takes to brew. If I start any kind of mission it seems to reset it. Anyone seeing this? Am I doing something wrong? Just early glitches to be ironed out?

Cholla springs. I work the cougar spawns in Cholla and Rio.
-
Absolutely. That's the main reason I chose tall trees. Not too far away from Manzanita post F.T.
-
40 gold for the moonshine role? 40 gold for outlaw pass? Or are they combined or something?
-
We can earn our gold bars back again. (On outlaw pass) Good news!
-
The "30 second rule" does not apply to wagon deliveries. It is a negotiated, fixed price you can see before you start your delivery. Yes, you are penalized for not having a wagon. On a large delivery wagon you lose $225 for turning in goods without the wagon. The timer on a delivery is a pass/fail only feature.

If you buy the "deluxe campfire" from cripps outfitters at your camp. It will speed up your cooking time.
-
Awesome! Hope you enjoy her/him. You get the Nacogdoches with it? The combo of acceleration, speed, handling makes them them the quickest way to get around, or chase things down. They're under the "Superior" tab for a reason. I do love my 'ruber, it's the gray/silver with black legs. Beautiful. But now only use her for a quiet Sunday drive.
-
Since I last replied, I decided to spend a few days with my level 4, rank 20, $950 kladruber. OMG, I've never been bucked so much. He even bucked me AFTER I killed a charging cougar. A rabbit sneezes and he bolts! Tried wolfman legendary, was nearly impossible with the 'ruber. Ditched him and grabbed the trusty black Arabian, and even with wolves nipping at his hooves, he never bucked me off. Moral: Black Arabian being a scaredy cat is a myth.
-
Lots there, I'll start with this one. Not a glitch. You trade cash for speed. Someone fire bottled my large wagon. Had to hump 4 bags in on horseback, payout went from $625 to $400. Got there quick, but lost hundreds.

All right but it worth selling these as a whole set .... you know?
Freakshow9191 replied to pluck3's topic in Red Dead Online
Hey pluck, I've found that if I turn in a complete set I get more money. Just fyi. -
No, the other player could not have picked them up, or stolen them. They can see them flashing. Which probably led them to think it was valuable to them. Worst they can do is keep killing you preventing you from completing the mission within the time limit.
