I don't watch Twitch however I do watch a few gaming related Youtube channels and I agree that it does expose a lot of the negative people out there (or people that are getting way more screen time then they deserve) however at the same time I've also stumbled across quite a few decent ones in the process. It's a pity that most are pretty toxic but I guess that's the price we have to pay to get a few enjoyable ones along the ride.

I really did love the animations and reactions when shooting in RDR (ragdoll physics) so I hope they bring that back and just make it as enjoyable (if not more). As least not all is lost with GTA V - see this mod (which I haven't tried myself yet) but I plan on trying when I feel up to screwing around with mods again:

I really do need to get off my arse and play this (well play more of) before RDR2 comes along: I do hope they bring something crazy like this again for RDR2 post release be it aliens, flying horses or whatever just to mix things up.

Pretty interesting info that I stumbled on over via reddit. So what you you chaps reckon? I've not played any of these modes myself ever before (probably the only person that doesn't own PUBG) but it does sound like online would be more interesting with these sort of modes. Also from the article: Let's see how the info pans out in the next few months!

Based on what happened to GTA V I'd say the chances are much lower this time of any single-player DLC especially if they intend to use the online mode in RDR2 in a similar fashion. I would of course like them to do something like this where they can extend the base game or even introduce a new separate experience using the same engine as a standalone title e.g. RDR2: The Great Expedition or something similar.

Agreed. I'd prefer they actually rather announce the game when they've almost completed it but sadly that'll never happen with their marketing teams.

Would be sad but I think we're all starting to accept that a delay is inevitable at this point so a September-November release does seem more likely. I'd really love to just get more info on the game now, a gameplay trailer or two and some more sweet screen shots - feels like forever since we actually got fed something new to chew on.

Are We Looking At Another Red Dead Redemption 2 Delay?
Jamesie replied to NewsBot's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
That is all we can do until just before/after their next stake/stock-holder do. I hate to say it but my money is on a delay, maybe September/November after all but I'm hoping that the prove me wrong! When does The Last of Us 2 come dammit! -
How hard is it to transition from pc to console?
Jamesie replied to Dunrico's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
Welcome to the forums! You should be fine playing on console. The biggest issue I have with a console is always aiming with the thumb sticks however this is only an issue when shooting and you do get used to it (although mouse and keyboard will always be my personal favorite). I don't think you'll be able to transfer your online game more than once however they at least did provide support for that in the past. No idea on the single-player progress - looks like they didn't support this in the past but they may have it included this time around. https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/202892778-Grand-Theft-Auto-Online-Characters-and-Progression-Transfer-from-Xbox-360-or-PlayStation-3-to-PlayStation-4-Xbox-One-and-PC https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009494848-PC-Single-Player-Mods -
Me too. Had more fun in GTA IV playing a LAN game then I did in GTA V, the whole "good rep" thing felt a bit odd for a Grand Theft Auto game - sometimes we just want to cause havoc without repercussions and GTA V felt like it was heavily discouraging this (I may have missed something as I haven't played a lot in it but it just felt "off").

Haha yeah more falling over would be nice. I remember it from GTA IV too:

Are We Looking At Another Red Dead Redemption 2 Delay?
Jamesie replied to NewsBot's topic in Red Dead Redemption 2
I hope it doesn't get another delay but I guess there is no point in rushing it out sooner than expected if it isn't finished, would still be disappointing though. It does make me wonder what the bulk of the development work consists of currently i.e. is it fleshing out the story still, game mechanics, online functionality, etc. -
We have a bunch of die (dice?) that we use with backgammon cups and it livens up the mood like nothing else when friendly/family come over for a visit. Hearing your future sister in law say "Bull shit" for the first time (she's fairly religious) is pure gold!

They just better bring back Liar's Dice!

When you guys think we will see an open Beta going?
Jamesie replied to SNAK3S's topic in Red Dead Online
Yeah I'd agree with you on this, very much doubt they'll risk leaking any content about the game (SP or MP modes) and so if this does happen I'm sure it'll be internal and/or with a very strict NDA in place. It's profile is just waaaay too high to risk on potential leaks from a beta. I'm sure we'll also all be happier that no one can potentially spoil any of it for us that are waiting patiently for the release. -
Yup, that was me with the suggestion and I wanted to "be out there" I'd love for the game to be realistic too with it's main campaign but I also don't like games taking themselves so seriously when exploring new ideas (especially with DLC which is what this topic was all about). Let's assume they made it super realistic: in the original RDR though (i.e. before zombies): We'd have no dead-eye targeting Our weapons would be limited to what we could carry at the same time (because no way could we carry all of them at the same time realistically) Reloading guns would have taken A LOT longer and we'd have been limited again by how much ammo we carry We'd have no horse on call with just a quick whistle No "lock-on" for targets (sure you could try free aim but that would be worse for me when using a controller) etc. At the end of the day we play games as an escape and we all enjoy different things. Sure, balance it to keep it from being silly especially as far as the main campaign goes but at the same time keep an open mind and realize that we've already played Bioshock lol.

There is a rumor already about a possible delay [8th of June] although not a long one and possibly not even one we might want to take as a real delay depending on what your expected window for the release is/was: As long as it's still by the end of June...

Awesome, thanks for the links! Will probably look at getting something only around Christmas time this year though but will definitely look into the Hisense.
