  1. Yeah with two big titles having recently released I'm very keen to read about how L.A. Noire performs especially when coming from Rockstar. Doom is said to be faithful to the original game (no cuts in content) but sloppy with it's choppy frame-rates while Skyrim performs but does lose a lot of visual fidelity when compared to the other platforms. This is understandable for a system with weaker hardware but with what Rockstar did with GTA V it'll be very interesting to see how they adapt to the new platform.
  2. I think you'll enjoy Season 2 too, I did (twice lol). Planning on watching an episode or two of Mindhunter and Designated Survivor this weekend to try them out.
  3. Honestly I'd just prefer these things don't exist at all but I agree that at least it's better than having to spend real money but the name "lootbox" is makes it sound so negative.
  4. I'd have preferred closer to Christmas myself but that's probably because I have to buy it for myself and I typically have more time around Christmas. With GTA V having spent so much time in the top 10 best sellers list over on Steam (although only at 13 now) I'd imagine they'll rake it in either way (well apart from not actually being on steam most likely for at least a year or so post console release). Also hard to believe that it's kept it's high price for as long as it has (apart from a special every now and then) but after a quick look I see that the physical copies are quite a bit cheaper (even for PC), maybe it's just steam taking the piss as usual.

  6. Not against it but instead it's just because I'm too cheap to fork out a subscription for a single game that I might occasionally play with others on a console that I don't even own yet. In GTA V I played a few random bits and pieces here and there (some of the races were pretty cool) and took part in a few activities with groups of random people but never ventured into the more involved activities such as heists because my latency just didn't make it very enjoyable (even if I didn't get disconnected and kicked to a new session every few minutes). I once got stuck waiting for over five minutes just between shots in a game of golf and shortly after it came back I got disconnected. I could chat with the fella I was playing with but both of us were stuck waiting for the game to advance. Thinking back now I can't imagine why I didn't have the urge to spend real money on anything related to the online experience...
  7. Just one more word... Maybe Xavier Xeroxed Xena's Xanthic Xylophone
  8. Saw this on reddit: Take-Two plans to only release games with 'recurrent consumer spending' hooks Now on the one hand I can understand this because it generates a lot of money for them post release but at the same time I just hope it doesn't affect the single-player campaign. I'm personally never going to spend money on an online-only mode of any sort however with an additional expansion for single-player content I'd be more than willing. What do you all think?
  9. Quite a few years ago a friend of my brothers decided that he wanted his ear pierced too and also when drunk the two decided it would be a good idea for them to do it home style with ice. Apparently it still hurt like a mother Crazy things that people do sometimes when they're drunk and also crazy that people will do these sorts of things to drunk people.

  11. Quite interesting to read this, thought I was maybe all alone in preferring solo or just a "tiny" close knit group of friends playing together. Having the option of a co-op style mode could possibly be something rather interesting but I'm not sure the infrastructure will be in place for this with RDR2. The real reason why I mention this though is that I have some friends that are Far Cry fans and with the up and coming Far Cry 5 we're contemplating getting it to have some wicked fun together on PC when it releases. Would be pretty awesome if RDR/RDR2 has some form of co-op modes too to work through the campaign!
  12. I wear a simple chain with a "Saint Christopher" and another bit that is engraved with a special message from my better half. It's almost always hidden from sight though so no one would ever know - think I last took it off over four years ago when I had to go to hospital. When I was younger I had an insane fascination with watches and I was always wearing one but over the last few years I've not bothered - there are some nice looking pieces that I would love to own though if money was no object. Also always wanted to get my ear pierced but as I've gotten older (aka I'm a fraidy cat when it comes to needles lol) it has become something that I care less about.
  13. Plenty of room for both games (well online modes of them) and I do believe they'll continue to push the two together provided they bring in the sharks and bulls. I'd love to say that it's for whatever makes the end-user happy but I honestly do believe that it's actually whatever makes the shareholders happy and pretty much nothing else these days for them...but I do hope they prove me wrong! For me (and many others I'm sure) it's just never been about the online mode while I do appreciate than many do really only care about online. I guess at the end of the day I'm just saying that I'd love it if they could balance the two to keep us all happy together across both games.
  14. My actual answer will probably (sadly) most likely be "Not at all" so I voted " Solo (Lone wolfing it) ". What happens these days if one attempts to access an online mode on PSN if you have no subscription? I never did have a sub on my PS3 and since I don't have a PS4 I have no idea how this works.
  15. Yet at the same time in the same interview the chap ( Sarwar ) says this: I can feel the "commitment" in the same way I can feel that WB and Ubi didn't want to include lookcrates lol. Go on Rockstar, try and spin it again because I don't believe you and that's fine but I'll just ask two things please: Deliver a solid single-player campaign that we'll all love and enjoy. No easy task with how great RDR was but I'm sure many of us are hoping for a repeat of a similar great experience. Don't try BS us because we know better. I very much doubt any of us are naive enough to think that you won't push hard with the RDR 2 online mode (money talks and all that) but please don't take us for idiots that believe you're going to really focus on any additional single-player content again any time soon (what, GTA VI get in the way or porting to PS V? Come on...).
  16. Here's a fun little game; try to think of what you think is something obvious that will be offered as a purchasable item in RDR 2. The idea should be to look at what GTA V online does (they're obviously making money there) and to then see what they could extend in future to provide additional options. Then take the list below (together with any additional items you can think of) and give list what the chances are you think they'll exist int he RDR2 shopping list: Weapons. Bang bang! [100%] Outfits/clothing. Styling, par'ner. [100%] Housing. Shack up with Jessie in several wild locations of your choice! [99.9%] River Boat or other water craft. Good luck getting away when caught cheating in that poker tournament on the Hudson. [50%] Horse outfits (sadles, extra gun carry slots, etc.). Your horse needs armor too. [40%] Horses, donkeys, yaks, mules, etc. Cousin Jack on a Yak, lol! [95%] Other vehicles not mentioned above (carts, wagons, etc.). Giddy up...vrrooom? [70%] Loot crates. Yes, R* hasn't done this in the past but with what we've seen recently anything is an option. Ka-ching! [40%] Ranches. Get your herd on. [12%] Gang hideouts. The first rule of gang club is... [35%] Actually quite a few options when one thinks about it now which is a bit sad really for anyone hoping for future single-player DLC.

  18. Happy Friday everyone! Not RDR2 but at least something to take our minds off of it for a bit.
  19. I haven't played it yet but I see The Evil Within 2 includes a console command to switch it to first person view. Definitely going to try and use it when I do pick up the game (sadly for it Wolfenstein was first in the queue ). https://www.vg247.com/2017/10/23/how-to-play-the-evil-within-2-in-first-person-mode/

  21. I watched a play of that and it looked like fun but still only the tip of the iceberg for what they could do. Agree on them making a version that can optionally be played without VR.
  22. Oh hell yeah! I've been playing Pocket Mortys on my phone when I visit the "throne" daily but I would love a fully fledged game on PC and console. The places that they could go with the varied environments, crazy characters, etc. would allow it to do almost anything

  24. Fixed for you (because you included "Nudes" as it should be "FIVE" words). My submission: Orcs On Oranges* Own October *(Pity the Oranges have to be found in paid-for look chests lol)
