  1. Yeah very doubtful it was because of the XOX (XBOXX, XBOX², ?), I mean they've most likely had dev-kits for it for quite some time anyway so I doubt this would be the reason unless Microsoft had paid for some kind of exclusivity deal which I think Sony has already cornered this time around.
  2. wild
  3. I'm with May 18th too. I mean the original was May 18th 2010 wasn't it?
  4. Come now everyone, Rockstar is going to shock us and announce a PC version at the PC gaming show tomorrow. In other news, Elvis is still alive and living next door to Michael Jackson!
  5. Yeah this one of the many bit that makes me interested to see what will happen with RDR2 (prequel we get to play with character 1, sequel we get to play with character 2). In a way I'd prefer a new playable character (or multiple) but whatever they deliver I'll be okay with it as long as what they deliver feels fresh and has a good story.
  6. horse.
  7. How about two as part of the main story and then a few of the gang members here and there throughout the campaign only to flesh out their background a bit? Maybe this could be done in a way to show you how they came to join the gang and once they have a certain "rep" with the game you get to play a little more of their back story to learn a bit more. Would be nice to have a few that you can switch between, think about the older game Desperados: - Start playing with the main character John Cooper and then doing a bit of a chapter to then unlock Doc McCoy. - Later with Doc and John you then unlock Kate O'Hara and get to switch and play with her, Doc or John.

  9. Ha! True but that's only because meat is too expensive (and probably unhealthy) to eat exclusively With what you said later (regarding animals) I do feel that in general with most charities that I hate contributing and not knowing where the money has actually gone. I'd happily pay twice as much knowing it all went towards the intended party instead of paying anything at all if any of it is being pilfered (pretty much like most of where our tax money goes I guess). So yeah, certain expected social responsibility where doing it is only done because it's expected (kinda like religion I guess ) kinda ticks me off and I'd rather be picky about who I help to at least try and make sure I'm really making a difference instead of just filling some fatcats pool.
  10. Yeah there are a couple available:
  11. all
  12. We often talk about this (ala "The Walking Dead" scenario) and I think things would be okay without only internet however not having fresh meat (or meat at all), coffee, milk, booze, etc. for a full month would probably make me want to "open up a can of beans in a mall or something similar" if you know what I mean.
  13. "Those young-ens make me almost want to get up"
  14. Oh yeah, I've watched this oh so many times and it's always awesome. Some of my other favourites: Alien / Aliens The Shawshank Redemption Fight Club The Green Mile Wall-E Back to the Future The Usual Suspects Die Hard Terminator 2
  15. A big ask but something that I would appreciate: "Offline-like" multi-player (even if just limited to co-op with no more than 2 players). Yes, we all have internet but I'd just like to have an option that isn't affected by my internet connection where I can screw around on a LAN-like connection (even if it's with a friend/family member a few hundred km's away) that won't require a connection to an official server and constantly kick me out from a session when it decides to (think what GTA IV allowed but that GTA V doesn't allow).
  16. I'm probably an odd one out here but I love almost anything with loads of coconut! I do enjoy most of them though (although not too often) but when given a choice I'll always take something similar to this:
  17. Far too many! Did make me think of this though (an old one but still good):
  18. Yo Ranchers, Cowhands and other wild folk. Figured another game here would be something a bit simpler than some of my previous attempts. Presenting the "One Word Only" game! Simple rules: - Post one word only. - Punctuation is okay when required to complete something. - Your word should continue the posts in meaningful way to create a single whole conversation when combined. - Any posts that defy the above rules can be ignored and you can continue from where things still made sense (we can drag those that violated the rules out later and string 'em up). Simple example: User A) Welcome User B) to User C) the User B) new User A) world. User D) We User A) have User C) all ... BEGIN! Update (17-Dec-2017) - the sentences we've formed so far: One: We all want a big raging and brown horse. Two: Although many horses are wild beasts they still keep their Jeff Williams. Three: Etyhlene is a colorless monkey that resembles a flamingo. Four: Abraham really felt scared of rabbits with swords. Five: When the mountain begins getting warm its vents open across the hot burning ground and then when lava spills all my semen on my rod it burns. Six: Once everyone realizes she got virginal problems, they still put some liquor in her big soft mouth.
  19. Something I didn't think about - an emulated version on PC with controls mapped to kb/mouse for certain actions (i.e. aiming and shooting) and controller for others (riding your horse/carriage).
  20. I'll also kick things off since my examples were "stolen" from previous posts (and I'm tempted by the prostitutes one but I figured I'd have to rather come up with something original). - Include a dead-eye like mechanic that uses a watch: this watch allows you to undo the last few seconds of your game-play (once filled) in the same way that they dead-eye meter allowed you to slow down aiming. Upgraded watch means longer time you can "undo". Limited to one user per in-game day.
  21. Howdy partners! Simple forum game idea here that I thought I'd give a bash. The idea is to take what you know from the original Red Dead Redemption and to expand on it to make a sequel ala Red Dead Redemption 2. The rules: - Only one suggestion with your reply and only one reply until someone else has replied. - Keep it fairly short and to the point that doesn't leave too much open for interpretation (i.e. not "add in pony with customizable hydraulics, laser eyes and a V6 engine with custom int...."). Don't be shy to expand on your idea a little but also try not to go overboard. - Feel free to reference a mechanic or idea from another game possibly even with a youtube clip - Have fun coming up with ideas, I think it's what makes the wait exciting especially since we know so little about it at this point! Some examples: - Add horse racing - Allow players to steal and drive trains - Let players not die when entering the water (allow them to swim)
  22. Sadly I don't think a petition would help either, it's no doubt the dollar bill that drives their platform release cycle. When console manufacturers are willing to pump big cash their way to keep exclusive content on their platform for a limited period of time there surely is no wonder why they push hard on the console versions first and then later move on to PC. I'm sure we've all read some of the reasons as to why Red Dead Redemption never made it to PC (horrible code that would make porting almost equivalent to a re-write being the most common one I've personally seen) so I'm sure they've kept this in mind this time around and that a PC version will eventually come along but still following a similar pattern to GTA V where we have to wait it out. Either way I'm buying a console for this one as I know a PC version won't release at the same time and as a fan I'd not be able to hold out without going completely mental. Of course at this rate The Last of Us 2 may win the title of being the first game I play on my new console when I do eventually pick it up (naaa, probably not - they've not even come close to mentioning a release date).
  23. I almost think that sometimes companies reveal games a little too soon. Now with more popular games this can have a positive marketing effect that possibly hypes their up coming game even more however at the same time it just makes us gamers waiting a little more disappointed when inevitable delays come along. Not like I'd not buy it though so it's obviously working if it was done intentionally.
