Fishing has been nerfed hard, true. But it's still easy to get 10xsteelhead/salmon + a bunch of smaller fish at a few places across the map, and still worth it cash wise. Easy, takes little time, and is safer (IMHO) than hunting for pelts. Works best in combo with bird hunting (and any other satchel wildlife knocking around the water). But, tbh, the best is obviously combinations

Chivalry Wild West style. What a grand chap! Though you probably had a fifty percent chance of being accused of sexism.
-
It's that increased risk factor (losing pelts and carcasses) from hunting, and the time and care it takes to make it back to the butcher, and the ammo costs, that makes fishing slightly preferable IMHO.

Already hitting youtube

Yeah, weird. Looks like mostly (only?) a set of bug fixes. Wheres that list from?
-
Let us know any details - I wont get chance to play for a while, and I'm mega curious

Some folk on other forums are saying they are downloading right now... No official news I can find.

Is there a new update for RDO today?
-
I don't like trolls either, but I think the game is great, isn't broken, and is looking on getting better and better. There are easy ways to mitigate griefing, easy ways to respond to it. Even at its worst all that is needed is to launch into a different server and move away from the pinks - 9/10 this solves the problem. It's not worth not playing RDO just because of a minority of bullies. I like what PvP adds to the game and that addition is worth the limited amount of aggravation that comes with online trolls, IMHO.

In terms of cash relevant to easiness, reliability, risk of loss and time factors, I'd say fishing. It's simple, guaranteed, reasonably quick, and fish in satchel cannot be lost or stolen. The obvious other contender is bird/feather hunting. The two often work well together in some areas as the best money making combo in game. Shoot some birds, catch some fish.

How much time have you played online so far?

I will have to check that out now ... Will report back tonight with my game time -
Yup, there's a few over 100 now. They are just people who play 24/7.

Wow ... It's like he was a ghost sent back to help. I sense the ballad of Golden Gun is being written as we speak ...

The camp is pointless at present. And Cripps is like some sort of Sisyphistic curse designed to plague my life.
-
I can't tell if Cripps is an inbred cretinous mute or evil troll genius. Eitherway it's annoying.

I appreciate that some players use it skilfully (not me). They will dive out of the way of your shot or thrown weapon, then pop up and headshot you 'boom'! They're good. That's fine. But the ones that just dive, dive, dive, dive, like some fitting walrus, and usually to no avail since they get shot anyway, are just annoying - slowing down the time it takes to decapitate them and giving other players extra chance to take you out while you play around with a spasmodic fish.
-
They need an official melee death match series. Also one for Primitve weapons. One on ones, small teams, and large brawls.

Stage 1: Prevention. Avoid known trouble spots, like Valentine and Blackwater. When newly spawned always crouch, hide and map. Toggle horse settings to posse only and turn off chat. Check map for pinks and avoid, take detours rather than encounter. Be in a posse, watch each other's backs, always look tough and ready for a fight. Be extra vigilant when carrying pelts or nearing a butcher. If you have to pause, be in a shop. Stage 2: Engagement. If lassoed, break free and shoot. Have solid weapons, like sawn offs or varmint or Lancaster, upgraded, loaded, clean, and ready to roll. Keep your eye on pinks at all times. Trust no one. Be good at head shots - adjust auto aim settings and practice if needed. Stage 3: Grief the griefer. Be prepared to kill them four or five times if necessary. Be ready after just killing them, they'll probably be out for revenge. Kill their horse. Stage 4: Walk away. It's just a game, you respawn, your horse can be healed, and you can just go to menu and go to another server far way from the troll that's been hassling you. Often it's not even worth getting into a fight, just let them kill you and walk away. Who cares? If you want, report them or name and shame them here online. Don't ever let bullies force you out or off the playground. It's yours as much, if not more, than theirs.

Yeah, but we get graphics, so I reckon we're even
-
Well I meant in game, but of course it's both...
-
Well, I guess the ability to go into snow areas is another Sony perk, lol

Cool addition

Nah, I think trolls deserve it. I just wish I could somehow force them to watch me do horrid things to their bodies before I chuck them on the bonfire.
-
Then I'm at a total loss - unless it was just too long range.

Yes, sure Yodaman - but I never drew any weapon at all. I left my long arms on my mount, and just ran around using my fists. Took on ten dock-workers at one point and battered the lot of them! Not a peep from the cops. I rugby tackled NPCs from behind - no one did anything except run away scared. Only once did someone turn into an eye and say they were going to get the law - so I beat them unconscious too. so long as you dont kill anyone and just knock them out, everyone seems ok with it
