Color TV used to be considered a gimmick. Hell, TV itself used to be considered a gimmick -- I mean we already have radios, so what's the point? I'm old enough to remember when electric toothbrushes were first invented, and I remember thinking what a stupid idea it was, just for lazy people.

I don't mind the bounty amounts, but it definitely has been glitchy. I once got a bounty when entering a new area with no explanation at all. There weren't even any other people or animals nearby.

Thanks for reminding me about acceleration and other settings. I keep forgetting I need to play around with those.

Xbox user here. I just dropped by to say I hope they fix that quickly for you guys. Sucks to not be getting the beautiful game you see in the trailers. On the Xbox side, we're also having issues with the HDR. I've been fiddling with options on my TV to optimize for RDR2, even if it makes other games worse for the time being, since I plan on focusing only on this game for awhile. For the moment, I have HDR off, but I'll probably mess around with some more settings tonight to see what I can get.

I'm pretty sure I've heard one of the gang mention that Dutch has a separate fund as well that you don't see. Greedy bastard.

I leave assist on, partly because my days of having good reflexes are about 30 years behind me. Usually I use it just to locate a target, or to quickly get my sights on them. Then I move the aim manually for a headshot, or engage dead-eye.

Good news -- my thoroughbred, Pop-Tart, was gone for a long time, but finally did re-appear in Valentine's stable. I had to re-bond, which sucks, but at least I got her... um, uh-oh, I mean him back. I don't know if I can get used to Pop-Tart as a male.

Great post, Melting! I think what’s sinking in for you is that there is no wrong way to play this game. It really invites you to use your imagination, and play it YOUR way.

During a party at camp I took a minute to try on some outfits. While I was changing, I heard what sounded like people having sex nearby. I looked around, and figured out they were in a tent near mine. I targeted the tent and chose "antagonize," and Arthur started yelling at them and making fun of them. Eventually, they came out complaining and looking very sheepish.

I triggered a massively weird bug fest when I first tried to make a go at this room. I accidentally shot the shop owner, but somehow managed to get into the room anyway. I was permanently locked inside with no way to exit. Every now and then, a new person would spawn in the room, and not notice me nor the pile of bodies all around. I would knife them in the neck, take their stuff, and continue to try to escape. Eventually, I gave up and restarted from a save.

I lost my bonus thoroughbred when a different horse spawned at a mission with other gang members. No horse death, no Arthur death... just a complete replacement. I haven't seen my dear Pop-Tart since, having checked from time to time in various stables. My new steed, Mighty Little, is great. But I'll always have a horse shaped hole in my heart for Pop-Tart.
