So in my randomness thinking, I thought - What if they had jobs players can do to earn money?

Like in GTA, you have the option to rob banks and such. What if you get the option to be "good" or "bad" online in RDR2?

So if you are good, you do "good" jobs like maybe transport items, farming, maybe own a pub/bar?

I kind of like this idea. Not sure how they would pull it off by assuming each server only has so many players on at a time I think it is doable. I wouldn't mind doing a small job or something to earn money. I guess it is "easier" to rob people. HEY! What if your a bar owner for a "living" and other people on the server can attempt to rob your bar!? Now that would be cool!!

If they really put some effort into it, then robbing banks in the Wild West would be pretty cool. Would also make a great "job"/way to make money. The good side of it could be acting as the sheriff/town lynch mob going after robbers.

Same with robbing trains etc... man there is so much cool stuff in the Wild West when you think about it! They would all make interesting activities in the game

I would be down for this. I like the aspect of having jobs that are for the "good" and the "bad" as well. Like obviously a life a crime would make you a criminal but maybe you want to help enforce the laws? Work and actual job and all that jazz.

Sounds good to me. I just don't want it to be a mess of people just fighting for no reason. They have to have things established well for this to work.

Yeah I get that. I would like to think they have enough sense in them to not have a system that enables online trolls.

Exactly! The trains will be a huge bonus. I completely forgot about the train in the first one. DOH! I would be over the moon if they pull something like this off, for real!

I think they will have options to earn but since the game will be centered around "bad guys" then it is likely that we will only see "bad ways" of earning money. lol

This would play a role in bounties as well if they do those online which I would imagine they do. Maybe when you do anything gang related then you increase your odds of having one called out on you at random. Would be interesting too to see gangs turn on their own for the cash rewards haha

I feel like we have been doing a whole lot of brainstorming lately on here... Just hope some of these thoughts made it in ya know?
