DylBandit
My favorite character is Obi-Wan. My favorite movie is Revenge of the Sith, and what made me a Star Wars fan was my uncle when I was only 2 years old. I thought The Last Jedi was a great movie, but it also had some issues, but I think the pros weighed out the cons in the movie. Keeping the movie spoiler free to people who never seen the movie, I think they made some wrong decisions with Luke. I really think they could have done a better job on his part in the movie, as he is pretty much the biggest reason people like going to see the new Star Wars movies, to see and watch the old characters. However, they did implement a lot of cool surprises and I really enjoyed that aspect. All in all, it was great, and I am questioning what happens next between Kylo and Rey. YodaMan 3D
Hero = Skywalker. Villian = Admiral Thrawn. Star Wars, back in the day you had no New Hope. It was only Star Wars. My prediction would be Disney needs to fire their writers who works on Star Wars movies and hire people who know that universe, cause the clowns they got now, really miss the mark on what makes a great story. I not a big fan of Ep. 1-3. I love Ep. 4-6. Not liking any of the new stuff. I don't understand the need to kill off your stars from the originals for the sake of bringing in new characters that seem lifeless. Other story lines they could have done. Thrawn Trilogy Kotor Story Rogue Squadron Dark Empire The New Jedi Order At one time there was a rumor about novels that was being written about Madalorians, you know Boba Fett like characters, that never got released. I love where Star Wars started, but to me the Disney Star Wars gives you no reason to like the new characters.

I was NOT a fan, but I don't begrudge folks who liked it. I like plenty of crappy things myself, like Carribean Jerk barbecue sauce on top of brownies. We all have our vices. 1 hour ago, YodaMan 3D said: Villian HERO = Admiral Thrawn. Fixed that for you. He's always been one of my favorite fictional characters (alas, Mrs. Creed didn't bite on "Thrawn" as a name for either of our sons, but I did slip "Garrett" past her, and bonus points if you can sort out which fictional characters--there are two--that I took that from), and the two newer novels by Zahn have not only refined, but tremendously improved the character and his backstory. I love him so much that I DON'T want Disney putting him in anything else, because they'd inevitably ruin him the way they did Luke. 1 hour ago, YodaMan 3D said: Rogue Squadron THIS is what the TV show should have been. I'm sure the Mandalorian will be fine, but I would have paid for their subscription service without question if Rogue Squadron had been the TV show. Now, I'm in more of a "wait and see" mode with it. 9 hours ago, Benjo said: Is this like a Netflix series or something You're a funny guy, @Benjo, I like you. That's why I'm going to kill you last. 1 hour ago, YodaMan 3D said: I love where Star Wars started, but to me the Disney Star Wars gives you no reason to like the new characters. I was on the fence after TFA, but I understood that they needed to do some world-building, and the only way they could get Ford back was to promise to finally kill of Han Solo, which he's been waiting 30+ years for. TLJ's failure in the service of Luke Skywalker is one of the biggest storytelling mistakes Hollywood has ever made. It's pretty telling when someone (me) could argue that the two spinoff films have been better than the main saga films post-Disney acquisition. Rogue One is my second favorite SW film, period. And Solo... I think that history is going to be kinder to Solo than we are now. It felt more "Star Wars" than either of the new Main Saga films--and I could go on for days about a technical discussion of why it's better than people want to give it credit for. @YodaMan 3D, if you're on Reddit, check out r/saltierthancrait (TLJ Haters) and r/MawInstallation (technical, academic discussion on SW, such as weaponized gravity well generators, ship class designations between Legends and the new canon, etc...) I think you'll like them.

I think we’re all certified dorks to some degree.

KRooKeD KRoW
Love that you can find Star Wars fans anywhere you go. My favorite character is Darth Vader and favorite movie is Empire Strikes Back. Also like Rogue One, love watching the end. Watching Yoda show Luke he was full of sh*t by lifting the X-Wing in Empire originally got me interested (think it was the first scene I ever saw, got fascinated by the idea of the Force). There were things I liked, others that I didn't about Last Jedi. Didn't like what they did with Luke and Leia. Would love to see more original characters make appearances, maybe make a stand alone where the New Republic isn't established yet and the Alliance is hunting down Imperial remnants while setting up the new government. Would probably need to use actor's in prosthetic makeup like they did for Tarkin at the end of Revenge of the Sith for some of the original characters for that movie idea. Really excited to see what they do with the Boba Fett and young (possibly padawan, but I hear it's early Jedi days) Yoda movies I've heard are planned.

I hope maybe they can get Samuel Jackson in there to play Mace. After all, he got thrown out of the window, but Jedi are known to jump and land from high places, I think they could say Mace got thrown out the window, but landed on a flying vehicle that was driving and he's been laying low for all these years, waiting. Well, I read somewhere the current trilogy, was written to give closer to Han, Luke, and Leia. Their swan song if you will. While doing that they was going to take the time to build up the next generation of heroes and villians. So far, I haven't seen any of them I like. No heroes I find worth rooting for and no villains that you want to hate. Everyone liked Han, Luke, and Leia. Everyone loved hating Darth Vader. You think about it, the Empire's success was on him. Emperor sat back in the shadows. The Imperial navy really waited for Vader to constantly pull them out of every situation.
ChrisCr0ss
I watched the 6 movies or "episodes". I never seen any of the new ones. While I did enjoy the first 6, I was never a huge fan of the franchise like I know many people are. Don't get me wrong, the movies are good and I see the appeal but it just isn't something for me to fangirl over.

Most of us grew up with Star Wars, you have people that were teenagers or little kids going to see the originals when they came out, or you have this generations youth growing up watching Star Wars. In my case, Star Wars has been apart of me when I was growing up, and I still like them today, as I'm 20 years young. I guess it's a sense of nostalgia in a way, and brings back lots of memories when I was kid, watching all the movies, playing all the Star Wars games on the PS2, and playing with action figures when I was a young one.
