Farewell Red Dead Redemption

We are hours away from the release of Red Dead Redemption II. It's been over eight years since Red Dead Redemption was released and it is undoubtedly a gaming masterpiece, one that has stood the test of time but if Red Dead Redemption II is half the game it's cracked up to be I know I won't be returning to 1911 anytime soon so it's farewell to the older more repentful John Marston.

John Marston's story of redemption was one of the greatest stories Rockstar has ever told, characters encountered throughout the game were often relatable and had a great level of depth to them. Rockstar's ability to write truly engaging characters is one of the reasons I'm greatly looking forward to Red Dead Redemption II.

Below is a video tribute someone made to Red Dead Redemption using various scenes throughout the game all put to "In Time" by Mark Collie, I think it makes for a great watch but if you haven't played Red Dead Redemption don't watch the video below as it shows key scenes from throughout the story.

I really wished they would have released a remastered version of RDR on the latest gen consoles.  I would have bought it.  .....but now that RDR2 is here, I doubt I will ever try to revisit that old title ever again.  It just wouldn't be the same given just how far the game has advanced in this latest iteration of the series.

I have seen a few different vids like this. It is cool to look back. The game was amazing. Here is to hoping this one is just as groundbreaking. I am sure it will be though. Given what we have seen and already know, it will be in my top 5 for sure.
