Why does Dead Eye stop painting x's on People??

All the sudden after the Oil Tracks Train Robbery Mission, my Dead Eye said it upgraded but now it doesn't paint x's on people... the game f'ing sucks now and I can't beat the mission I'm trying to get out of a town full of people trying to kill me.. do they really take the paint x ability away?

I have no clue how to get that back... I can't believe I am having to make a forum account because I can not find anyone having this issue... all tutorials online suggest dead eye is suppose to always paint x's and now I think maybe my game is broken and I should revert back to an older save file.

(maybe they needed 120 hour work weeks because they suck, this is just absurd to me; I'm a returning console gamer and can not believe how little info is in game; it's like ttwo is doing internet bloggers a solid by making this mad confusing)

It's true that people might be quick to call something a bug - but this is because there's already been so many bugs found/reported in combination with there being a lack of detailed explanation about in-game mechanics easily available as you play.  I agree people are too quick to label things as glitches or broken mechanics, but that atmosphere could largely have been avoided if the game have so many genuine issues at release.

It'll settle down over the next month, I reckon.  I hope!

But does it though?

Does it have any more than any other AAA release?

It's because this is the new nature of society. There could be a perfect game release and you would see dozens of "bug" threads because this is what people do now.

I think it only seems this way because half the bugs reported are hearsay from gamer kids that don't like the fact that you can't run around and kill everything and get away with it.

I agree with you that there are a pile of real bugs but not near the amount perceived. Like most things, there's always some exaggeration.

Also just my opinion, what do I know.

I agree...but you can also thank Bethesda.  How many of their AAA titles flat out require a mod from the user community to make it 100% playable to spec.  But, other than that, i concur with every sentiment you shared.

We've found our entitled mellenial.  Grow up kid.

Grow up kid, says the person who can't spell millennial.

You do realize that millenials are now aged 22-37, right? The kids/teenagers of today are not millenials.

Anyway, it is amazing how many people are just immediately jumping to "derp must be another bug derp!" as if this is the first open world game to ever have some bugs (which I personally have not experienced but I'm sure some have, but legs stop going overboard about it)
