HIGHHorse
https://www.ipetitions.com/petition/bring-red-dead-to-pc/ So yeah, people are pretty convinced the game wont be on PC. I am not sure what making something like this will do even if the person managed to get a ton of signatures on it. I am not bothered too much if it doesn't come out on PC but I know people who no longer have current consoles may be upset.
Lonestar
There's an older one with over 50K signatures already https://www.change.org/p/rockstar-games-release-red-dead-redemption-2-on-pc-071822ef-c66c-4a45-9b97-e218d264c34b While Rockstar have listened to fans in the past re GTA Online DLC, making a game for a whole 'nother platform is different though!
Purple Cactus
I was just going to mentioned that one has been done already. People need to get over it. Rockstar is going to do what they want and what they feel is best. There is not enough of a PC following to spend all that extra money to develop a game for computers. I mean it would take more time, cost a lot more seeing as you can do WAY more with graphics, and it is just not a wise investment. I would be shocked if they do make a PC version. NicNak
This isn't going to make a difference. I mean, are they dead set on not releasing the game on PC or is this an assumption? I haven't read anything on it myself.
Jamesie
Sadly I don't think a petition would help either, it's no doubt the dollar bill that drives their platform release cycle. When console manufacturers are willing to pump big cash their way to keep exclusive content on their platform for a limited period of time there surely is no wonder why they push hard on the console versions first and then later move on to PC. I'm sure we've all read some of the reasons as to why Red Dead Redemption never made it to PC (horrible code that would make porting almost equivalent to a re-write being the most common one I've personally seen) so I'm sure they've kept this in mind this time around and that a PC version will eventually come along but still following a similar pattern to GTA V where we have to wait it out. Either way I'm buying a console for this one as I know a PC version won't release at the same time and as a fan I'd not be able to hold out without going completely mental. Of course at this rate The Last of Us 2 may win the title of being the first game I play on my new console when I do eventually pick it up (naaa, probably not - they've not even come close to mentioning a release date). X S
I wonder what the chances would be if Microsoft lent a helping hand to port the 360 version into a "PC" version, specifically a version of the game that just so happens to be playable on a PC? Is that's even possible, given that it's already been optimized on an emulated 360 for the XB1? I'm dying to see a full commitment to convergence, already. elmZ
I feel like there will be people like this popping up until they say NO flat out. I don't recall them saying never. I mean, they could release on in 2019. The consoles will get the main focus for an entire year and they would be able to profit on another market. Something I didn't think about - an emulated version on PC with controls mapped to kb/mouse for certain actions (i.e. aiming and shooting) and controller for others (riding your horse/carriage). Jamesie
On emulation I stumbled across this (RPCS3, a PS3 emulator) - starting to look very promising:
